
Man who attacked ex-wife's lover had prior criminal record, say cops
SUBANG: The man who is suspected of attacking his ex-wife's boyfriend in Puchong had a prior criminal record.
Subang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Fairus Jaafar said the police are still hunting for the suspect and two other accomplices, who brutally attacked the 47-year-old victim.
"We have recorded the statements of three individuals, including the suspect's ex-wife.
"We are in the midst of tracking down all three suspects," he said when contacted on Sunday (May 25).
Supt Mohd Fairus had said the incident occurred at an apartment in Taman Puchong Intan at about 2.15am on Saturday (May 24).

"We received a call from a woman claiming that her boyfriend was attacked at her residence.
"Initial investigations showed that the victim and the woman are living together.
"The woman's ex-husband and two other men, in their 30s and 40s, came to the house and assaulted the victim using a knife and an iron rod," he added.
The victim suffered various injuries to his head and body, he said.
"He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
"We believe the motive behind the attack was jealousy and unresolved domestic issues between the woman and her ex-spouse," he added.
Supt Mohd Fairusa said the case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years, a fine, or whipping upon conviction.
"We are in the midst of tracking the suspects.

KOTA KINABALU: A man attending a Hari Raya Aidiladha eve prayer was stabbed to death following a misunderstanding with several workmates in Kinabatangan. In the 10pm incident on Friday (June 6), the victim was attending the Takbir Raya programme at an estate workers' quarters compound when three men confronted him. Kinabatangan OCPD Supt D. Ravi said the three men, all immigrants, were believed to be drunk. In another incident in Tawau, a 44-year-old man was arrested for hitting his 60-year-old neighbour on his head with a padlock on Saturday (June 7). The victim was walking down the stairs at the Sri Balung flats when he was suddenly hit on his head with a hard object by the suspect. The man then fled the scene. Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said the victim went back to his house to get help from his wife, who called the police and an ambulance. 'The suspect was arrested in the same area later. A padlock, believed to be used in the attack, was seized,' he said in a statement on Monday (June 9). ACP Jasmin said the suspect will be investigated for voluntarily causing hurt using a weapon or a dangerous object.

The 40-year-old man said this was to teach his son a lesson, after the boy's plea before magistrate Arun Noval Dass. Advertisement Berita Harian reported that the man, who accompanied his son to court for the charge under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code, left his son there without paying the bail. The boy was accused of raping his 15-year-old acquaintance at a house in Batu Pahat between 4pm and 5.30pm on June 2. The section provides for up to 20 years' imprisonment and a whipping, upon conviction. According to the police report lodged by the boy's father, the boy committed the offence while his mother was at work. She knocked on his door several times before it was opened, and found the girl in his bedroom. A police investigation found both the accused and the victim admitting to having had sex 16 to 18 times. Tough love: Father refuses to bail out son after rape confession
BATU PAHAT: A father refused to pay the RM1,500 bail set by the Magistrate's Court here today for his teenage son, who pleaded guilty to multiple counts of raping a 15-year-old girl. The man, in his 40s, wanted to teach his 16-year-old son a lesson following the teen's confession in court before magistrate Arun Noval Dass. The father, who accompanied his son to court, was seen leaving without posting the bail bond after the guilty plea. According to the charges, the teenager is accused of raping the girl at a residence within the district between 4pm and 5.30pm on June 2. The charge was framed under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code for rape, which provides for a maximum sentence of 20 years' imprisonment and caning upon conviction. The teenager reportedly committed the offence at his home while his mother was out at work. His mother returned home earlier than usual and found her son and the girl inside his bedroom. The two teenagers admitted to engaging in sexual activities multiple times. The case was set for re-mention on July 16 for case management.
