Titled Sleepless in Settle, the 22 minute film sees Thelma star as Barbara.
The character tries to find a romantic partner for her middle-aged son Alan (Graham Turner) - but with comedic hijinks along the way.

It comes as the star's friend, writer/director Judy Flynn, created the part of Barbara specifically for her.
Thelma said: 'I was familiar with her work and knew it would be good.
"The characters are so well drawn, it was a joy.
"Good writing is easy to learn, there are some lovely lines that reminded me of when I joined Coronation Street.'

, with a small crew.
As for Coronation Street, Thelma's character Mavis was originally intended to be a one-off appearance.
She became a regular after impressing both viewers and producers - establishing a long-running partnership with Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox).
Following the death of husband Derek Wilton (Peter Baldwin), Mavis left Weatherfield to run a guest house in the Lake District.
Viewers may also recognise Thelma for playing Dolly Bellfield in
BBC
sitcom Dinnerladies.
She featured in all 16 episodes, spanning from 1998 until the show concluded in 2000.

Sarah Shafi was the first contestant to pull out of the show after telling producers it shouldn't be aired. The episode which would have featured the unnamed contestant was broadcast on BBC One on Wednesday. But it only featured five chefs rather than the usual six, the BBC reported. Sarah, from Leeds, believed airing Masterchef would send the wrong message about what happens after women report misbehaviour by powerful men. The 57-year-old rejected an offer by MasterChef's producers Banijay to edit her out of her episode, wanting them to axe it entirely. She was "flabbergasted" by the suggestion, but agreed once it was announced the series would air. She told The Guardian: "I said: 'Axe the show, don't air the show. I'm asking you not to air the show.' "Prominent figures have been abusing their power. What message does that send out to women?" The former contestant said she didn't want to be part of a show with an "enabling environment". It was said to be "quite a heated conversation". A spokesperson for production company Banijay said: "One other contributor decided that given recent events they would like not to be included," the BBC reports. "We have of course accepted their wishes and edited them out of the show." The latest series of MasterChef was hit with controversy in the weeks leading up to its launch, with hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode being axed from presenting future series. However, the BBC ultimately decided to air series 21, which had already been filmed. The latest episode - the fourth in its run - saw five amateur cooks enter the kitchen, rather than the usual six. But the long shot of the group outside walking towards the kitchen was missing, and instead, the edit featured close ups of their faces or in pairs. Once inside, John and Gregg explained how two cooks would automatically go through to the next round after cooking their first dish. In a bizarre moment, contestant Hazel gave a thankful nod before looking to the side, but as far as viewers could see, there was no one on Hazel's left that she would need to acknowledge. A spokesperson for Banijay previously said: "As we said when we announced the show would be aired, this was not an easy decision in the circumstances and we appreciate not everyone would agree with it. "Banijay consulted with all the contestants before that decision was made and there was widespread support for it going ahead. "The focus of the series is the contestants, as it always is. Kelly Cates makes Gary Lineker admission ahead of new MOTD role
Kelly Cates has revealed that she hasn't sought advice from the "adored" Gary Lineker ahead of her debut on Match of the Day this season, stating: "I don't want to be Gary". The Sky Sports presenter also pledged not to use her platform to champion political and social causes like her BBC predecessor. The daughter of Kenny Dalglish is set for a busy season, juggling coverage of 215 live Premier League matches on Sky Sports and joining the new MOTD team alongside Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan. However, Cates hasn't reached out to the former England striker for guidance on her new role. Ahead of the launch of the new Sky Sports Premier League season, she commented: "No he hasn't got in touch and I haven't got in touch with him, but not because we're not avoiding each other. We just don't know each other. I know Gary to say hello to.. We just don't know each other that well. And I think Chappers was saying that Gary said: 'Well, why would I tell three broadcasters how to do their job?' which is very lovely of him because he was brilliant at the job and adored. And as much as he was a controversial character at times, any focus group that was researching will tell you how much he was adored in that role. "So I think from my point of view, the reason not to do it would be, I don't want to be Gary. I think there's a temptation to try and be someone else, and I think that you get a job because of yourself. And if then you try to be someone else, it can all just get a bit confused. I don't need another thing to think about. I don't need to be sitting there thinking: 'What would Gary do? It's not a decision not to. It's just we don't have that relationship." Cates continued: "I haven't ever really used my social media for that. So it isn't something that I'm going to have to change because it's not ever what I've used it for. I think that in a lot of cases, I'm not the best placed person to talk about some of those issues. And I think there's a tendency to believe that if somebody isn't talking about something they don't care about it, and I think it's perfectly possible to care about something and keep quiet and let experts talk about it, which I think is a lot of the time better. "I always feel like if I couldn't cope well with being challenged heavily on it, then I shouldn't be putting my opinion out publicly. Whereas I think there are people they don't necessarily need to be particularly qualified in the area, but are people who are much better informed who can do that." She said the number of matches she will front this season is "a bit of a moveable feast". Cates, who has two teenage children, explained: "I can't do both of them on same day, but I could do Match of the Day on Saturday and Sky on the Sunday. Yeah, that would work, or vice versa. These were all my questions at the beginning. But it's not as complicated as you think. There's a very fast train to Manchester. It should be like roughly a fairly even mix to them, I think. "Because I've just got busy weekends, but I work in sports so I expect to have busy weekends. And it's actually my midweeks are a bit clearer than they were, so it's just changing where I work, really. It's just changing the timetable." Sky Sports will launch cutting-edge technology this season with a Supersized Super Sunday featuring up to four matches running concurrently on the Multiview programme. More than 30 additional matches will be broadcast on Sundays from clubs participating in European competition on Thursday. "Our job is still the same," said Cates. It's just to talk to the guests and get the best out of the pundits. "So in terms of what we actually do, it doesn't really make that much difference. It's just how it's all treated and goes through the process afterwards, and things like how it's all clipped up and how it's streamed. "And I sit, listen to that and go, that sounds amazing. I have no idea how to do it. "I think that the tone generally has changed to become more conversational on air, and I think that's probably because that's come from digital. So I think because there was a huge increase in the amount of digital media that people were consuming, and that was a lot of that was fan lead and a lot of it was, you know, just people starting up on their own at the beginning. "But I think you can have a conversational tone without having a conversation, you can still interview somebody while having a conversational tone."

Former Apprentice star Tom Skinner revealed as 10th Strictly contestant
It comes after the 34-year-old met US Vice-President JD Vance for a barbecue and drinks, with Skinner – who befriended Donald Trump's number two on social media platform X – describing the event as 'once in a lifetime'. Speaking about taking part in the BBC dancing show, Skinner said: 'I'm beyond excited to be joining Strictly Come Dancing. 'I've tackled the boardroom and some big breakfasts in my time, but stepping on to the dance floor under that glitter ball is next level stuff. 'I've never danced in my life other than at weddings, but I'm ready to graft and of course have a laugh. Bring on the sequins, sambas and, most importantly, the bosh to the ballroom.' Skinner teased his Strictly appearance on social media before it was confirmed by former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson on Hits Radio on Thursday. In a post on X, he said: 'I better start learning how to dance. Honestly over the moon to be asked to be a contestant on @bbcstrictly – can't wait to learn and give it me best shot. Bosh.' Later on Thursday, reality TV star Vicky Pattison, who starred in Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach, was announced as the show's 11th contestant on ITV's This Morning. She said: 'I'm absolutely buzzing to be part of this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. 'I am not a natural dancer. However, it's such an amazing opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and to challenge myself in a completely new way, and I just really hope I don't make too much of a fool of myself.' Pattison said she had 'watched the show for years' with her grandmother, and added she found it 'really flattering' to be picked for Strictly. The star has previously been crowned queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and has presented Channel 4 documentary Vicky Pattison: Alcohol, Dad And Me. Skinner's appearance comes after he recently claimed he had received 'death threats' and 'vile comments about my children', following a series of social media posts claiming 'something's gone wrong' in the UK, and saying 'there is nothing wrong with being proud of where you're from'. In other posts, which drew criticism from some of his followers, Skinner said it is 'not far-right' to be 'flying your flag and loving your country', and he complained 'it ain't safe out there anymore' in London, saying the city is 'hostile' and 'tense'.
