I Have Questions About the Official ‘Fantastic Four' Pizza

I Have Questions About the Official ‘Fantastic Four' Pizza

Gizmodo7 hours ago

The food tie-ins with Marvel's next movie offer some very curious choices.
Giving the foodie world a spin is Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and here's a preview of the upcoming snack tie-ins at major chain restaurants and snack companies. If you thought that AMC Theaters' Herbie popcorn robot was peak—well, let us introduce you to a four-quadrant pizza inspired by Marvel's First Family being released at Little Caesars.
What's so audacious about the flavors of each section is what they say about Marvel's Fantastic Four heroes. Obviously pepperoni and jalapeño is Johnny Storm because of his flame powers, and Italian sausage and bacon gives a rocky texture like Thing. But between pepperoni and cheese, we're seeing that Sue could very well be just plain cheese since there's no visible ingredients (get it, invisible woman) and Reed is pepperoni. I mean the cheese is stretchy but it's all over the pizza, so it sorta works if you stretch your imagination.
The perplexing pizza pie conundrum is almost as hilariously bonkers as Fantastic Four blue milk.
Yes, blue 'Fantastic Berry' flavored milk.
From the makers of the Star Wars 'May the Fourth' branded blue milk, TruMoo is now hawking berry-flavored half gallons for families or the curious childless nerd. Personally, I'm more of a vanilla blue milk fan so not even Pedro Pascal catering calcium could get me to drink this. Each half-gallon features a different member of the Fantastic Four team. And what better to go with milk than cereal?
Retro-style cereal boxes are back for a variety of General Mills grocery store aisle faves. These are less interested in having each member of the team correspond with an element of each cereal but we love the throwback art. The cereal boxes are perhaps the tamest of the tie-ins because the other breakfast and snack food offering is a special edition Pop-Tarts release which brings back a retired flavor.
Fans of frosted blue raspberry will be happy to see its comeback in special packaging and Marvel comics designs, alongside classic flavors frosted strawberry, frosted brown sugar cinnamon, and frosted s'mores. Watch this ridiculous ad, which takes the wild Pop-Tart mascots and turns them into substitute superheroes 'The FanTASTEic Four' who are no help at all when Galactus is coming and you're in need of a frosted bite.
Adding on to the fantastically weird are the Snapple Fantastic Four flavor releases. Included in the lineup are Mister Fantastic on the apple flavor (because a Pedro Pascal a day would keep the doctor away); the Thing's kiwi-strawberry juice; and the Storm siblings' peach tea juices. We'll leave you with a look at the Sue Storm bottle design:
Do any of the tie-ins entice you? Let us know in the comments.

Liv Morgan injury update: WWE Women's Tag Team Champion suffers shoulder injury

A WWE champion appears to have suffered a serious injury. Liv Morgan — one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions — suffered a legitimate injury during Monday Night Raw on June 16, and she could possibly be sidelined in the future. Advertisement Morgan faced Kairi Sane in a singles match at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Early in the contest, Morgan approached Sane when dropped to her knees for a single-leg takedown. Morgan went face first on the mat as did her right shoulder. Morgan immediately yelled in pain and rolled out of the ring as the referee blocked Sane from performing any other move. Morgan went down and held her shoulder as medical personnel came to check on her. The match was eventually called off as Morgan was escorted out of the arena. Sane was declared winner by forfeit. What injury did Liv Morgan suffer? WWE commentator Michael Cole said Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder. While it's unknown how it could affect a wrestler, it typically is an injury that can sideline athletes for months. Advertisement What determines the timeline of return depends on the severity of the injury and if surgery happens. Without surgery, the Mayo Clinic says, the shoulder would improve "over a few weeks," but if surgery is performed, full recovery can take five to six months. Regardless, it looks to be a tough break for one of the workhorses in the women's division. Morgan is currently a record four-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion alongside Raquel Rodriguez. The duo won the titles at Raw After WrestleMania on April 21 and they lost them to Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch one day earlier at WrestleMania 41. Recently, it had been hinted Morgan would have a storyline with current Women's World Champion Iyo Sky and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, who returned to programming on June 9. The two-time Women's World Champion has suffered shoulder injuries before. In 2023, she missed six months of action after she dislocated her shoulder in a match with Rhea Ripley. It was revealed to be a labrum tear and she required surgery. Advertisement The biggest stories, every morning. These chefs and restaurants are the 2025 James Beard Award winners

Chefs and restaurants were honored on Monday night with James Beard Awards, one of the US culinary community's highest accolades. Bûcheron, a French American restaurant in Minneapolis, was named best new restaurant during the awards ceremony, which was held at the Lyric Opera in Chicago. The outstanding chef award went to Jungsik Yim, whose New York City restaurant Jungsik also holds three Michelin stars for Yim's 'New Korean' cuisine. Another top honor, for outstanding restaurant, was awarded to Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colorado. The cuisine focuses on the flavors of the northeastern Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia through the lens of Colorado. In addition to various restaurant and beverage categories, the awards also honor the best chefs in regions across the United States. Many of the evening's honorees highlighted the role of immigrants in American culinary culture. That message was underlined at the start of the ceremony by James Beard Foundation CEO Clare Reichenbach. 'America's food scene has never been more dynamic, more diverse and exciting, and in large part we owe that dynamism, that vibrancy, to the immigrant communities that lead and underpin this industry in every way,' said Reichenbach. 'We get to taste the world because of them.' Chef Nando Chang, of Itamae AO in Miami, won the best chef award for the South. 'As bittersweet as this moment is for many immigrants in America, I want to say I could not be prouder or feel stronger to be a part of this beautiful country,' said Chang, a Peruvian American of Chinese descent who said he came to the US in 2001. This year's slate of awards featured three new categories in the beverage realm: best new bar and awards for outstanding professionals in beverage service and cocktail service. The new categories are part of an expansion over the next few years aimed at 'acknowledging the beverage industry in a more holistic way,' according to the James Beard Foundation. Identidad Cocktail Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico, earned the inaugural best new bar award. Arjav Ezekiel of Birdie's in Austin, Texas, won the outstanding professional in beverage service award, and Ignacio 'Nacho' Jimenez, of Superbueno in New York City, won outstanding professional in cocktail service. The 2025 awards come five years after the 2020 ceremony was abruptly canceled amid the Covid-19 pandemic's upending of the restaurant industry as well as criticism of the awards' lack of diversity and inclusion of chefs accused of abusive behavior. Since then, the James Beard Foundation has made efforts to address that criticism with a new code of ethics and changes to awards program policies and procedures. The nonprofit James Beard Foundation was established in 1986, shortly after chef and TV personality James Beard's death. The first awards ceremony was held in 1991.
