Sunday's briefing: Just another game for Greenwood while Gyokeres faces sanction

Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres is facing disciplinary action for failing to turn up to pre-season training for Sporting Lisbon.
Andy Carroll has completed a surprise move to join Dagenham and Redbridge, while Sweden finished top of Group C at the Euros with a resounding 4-1 defeat of Germany.

Alex Greenwood admitted the big rivalry billing for England's final Euro 2025 group-stage encounter might hold more weight for their Welsh opponents than it does for her.
A win against Wales – the lowest-ranked team in the tournament – would be enough to book England a place in the quarter-finals. Wales need a victory of four goals or more, as well as France beating the Netherlands, to progress.
Wales captain Angharad James, who was asked if she wanted to knock England out, said: 'Of course you do. It's in our blood. It's in our DNA.'
But quizzed as to whether or not she felt the same sense of rivalry, Greenwood conceded: 'Maybe not as much. I think, for me personally, it's another game.'
Sporting sanction Gyokeres amid Arsenal interest
Arsenal's bid to sign Viktor Gyokeres has taken a fresh twist after Sporting Lisbon confirmed he is facing disciplinary action for failing to turn up to pre-season training.
Gyokeres, who scored 39 league goals to fire Sporting to the Portuguese title last season, is understood to be at the top of Arsenal's wish list. However, the two clubs are yet to agree a transfer fee.
Sporting president Frederico Varandas told Portuguese news agency LUSA: 'If they don't want to pay Viktor's fair market value, we'll be very comfortable with that for the next three years.
'If the geniuses who are devising this strategy think that this puts pressure on me to make it easier for him to leave, not only are they completely wrong, but they are also making it more complicated for the player to leave. No one is above the interests of the club. Whoever they are.'
Carroll completes surprise Dagenham move

Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Andy Carroll has agreed a deal to join Dagenham and Redbridge.
The 36-year-old, who played nine times for England, has made the switch to the National League South side on a three-year deal. Dagenham announced earlier on Saturday that they had been taken over by a Qatari consortium.
Carroll left Bordeaux last month following one season in the fourth tier of French football.
Sweden humble Germany with four-star triumph
Sweden secured an emphatic 4-1 win over 10-woman Germany to finish top of Group C – and line up a possible quarter-final against England.
Jule Brand fired Germany ahead after just seven minutes before Arsenal's Stina Blackstenius hauled Sweden back on level terms.
Smilla Holmberg then gave Sweden the lead with Carlotta Wamser dismissed for handball and Fridolina Rolfo scoring the resulting penalty.
Lina Hurtig completed the rout with 10 minutes remaining as Sweden claimed their first-ever victory against the eight-time champions at the Euros. It also marked Germany's biggest ever loss in the competition.
Poland beat Denmark 3-2 in the other game in the group.
What's on today?
Defending European champions England will look to avoid an early exit in their clash with Wales.
England know a win will secure their place in the quarter-finals while Wales need a big victory and help from France. The Group D fixtures kick off at 8pm BST.

Noni Madueke to undergo Arsenal medical TODAY ahead of sealing £52m move from Chelsea - as Gunners set their sights on Eberechi Eze NEXT

Noni Madueke will undergo a medical at Arsenal on Monday ahead of his £52m switch from Chelsea. The Gunners also look to be eyeing up a move for Crystal Palace 's Eberechi Eze as their next target. Arsenal and Chelsea are in agreement for the transfer of the 23-year-old Madueke, with a £52million deal close to being completed for the wide man. Personal terms over a five-year deal are already in place. The England international trained with his Blues team-mates on Thursday morning in New York ahead of their Club World Cup final victory against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday. Madueke was a regular for Chelsea last season, including playing the entirety of their Conference League final which they won against Real Betis. The Gunners have been looking to bolster their attacking options this transfer window, with a move to sign Victor Gyokeres close. The clubs are now close to agreement on a deal worth an initial £55m, with a further £7.4m in add-ons, while Gyokeres has agreed a five-year contract. Arsenal also been on the hunt for a winger - it is understood their preference was a left-sided wide man, but one who can play on either side, like Madueke, was also an option. The Gunners then approached the player and there were no hurdles in terms of personal terms and the negotiations with Chelsea went smoothly too. Madueke is left-footed and prefers to play on the right - a position occupied by Bukayo Saka at Arsenal. But he is also capable of playing the left and has featured there recently for the Blues. He will likely compete with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli for a starting spot in the Arsenal team next season. Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has acknowledged that Madueke is heading for the exit. 'Noni is in contact with a new club,' Maresca said. 'I guess that he's going to leave in the next hours. 'I said in one of the last press conferences that at the end, if players want to leave, at the end, it's difficult for the club and for the manager. 'Noni decided to leave, nobody told Noni he had to leave. If he is happy, we are happy.' Should Madueke's move go through without complication, he would be the fourth player to join Arsenal this summer - and second from Chelsea. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has already moved across London in a £5m deal, while former Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard and ex-Real Sociedad man Martin Zubimendi have joined him at the Emirates.

Football transfer rumours: Alejandro Garnacho rejects Al-Nassr move?

Alejandro Garnacho wants to leave Manchester United but is not too eager on moving to the Saudi Premier League, even if it means teaming up with Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Nassr approached the Argentina winger to suggest a change of scene and a massive wage but Garnacho wants to play in Europe. The same reportedly goes for his United colleague Marcus Rashford, with the England forward waiting for Barcelona to make a bid. One United winger finally getting to leave permanently is Jadon Sancho, who has joined Juventus for £17.3m, only £60m or so less than they paid for him four years ago. André Onana will miss the club's tour of the USA and the start of the season with a hamstring injury sustained in training. With the other options being Altay Bayindir, who wants to leave, and Tom Heaton, United may be forced to sign a new goalkeeper within their tight budget. Aston Villa are preparing to sign a new second choice goalkeeper. With Emiliano Martínez's future still up in the air Marco Bizot could arrive from Brest as backup and become No 1 by next month. The 34-year-old Dutchman arrived in England on Sunday and will reportedly move to Villa Park on a free transfer. After luring Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid from Liverpool, the Spanish side are trying to do the same with Ibrahima Konaté. The French centre-back has a year left on his deal at Anfield and that may bring a cheeky low offer. Konaté is said to be open to the move. Luis Díaz's repeated links to Bayern Munich and Barcelona mean Liverpool are considering replacements. One potential recruit is Real Madrid's Rodrygo. The Brazilian did not get many minutes under new head coach Xabi Alonso at the Club World Cup, something many see as a sign he is not fancied by the former Spain international. Arsenal were interested at one point but the imminent arrival of Noni Madueke from Chelsea should mean the end to their search for a winger. Meanwhile, reports in Germany suggest Bayern will target Arsenal's Leandro Trossard if they fail to sign Díaz. Evan Ferguson's next loan move away from Brighton will take him to Roma, where he has shaken hands on a season-long seal. The Irishman did not pull up any trees at West Ham, so will be hoping a new country will do him the world of good. Roma are also interested in signing Lens' Neil El Aynaoui, who is also a target for Everton.
