What time does the Super Bowl start and end?
You may know that the kickoff for the 2025 Super Bowl will be held this Sunday, but do you know what time it will start and end? With a game as anticipated as this, knowing where and when to watch is critical.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a highly anticipated Super Bowl match-up at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9. The Chiefs enter the contest following a Jan. 26 win over the Buffalo Bills. That came a few hours after the Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Bowl with a comprehensive win over the Washington Commanders.
But while millions of fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the big game, some may not know exactly when the Super Bowl will start and end.
Below, we'll break down everything you need to know about the Super Bowl schedule, from kickoff to the very end of 2025's big game.
What time does pre-game Super Bowl 2025 coverage start?
The pre-game coverage for this year's Super Bowl will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Fox. According to Fox Sports, both Fox NFL Sunday and FOX NFL Kickoff will combine to provide five and half hours of pregame coverage, analysis and predictions. Curt Menefee is set to host the special edition broadcast heading into the game.
What time is the Super Bowl kickoff?
Kickoff for the game is set for approximately 6:30 p.m. ET. The game will air on Fox, Tubi, Fubo and the platforms detailed below.
If you're looking for a TV streaming service option that doesn't require a contract but still gives you an easy way to watch the NFL games, Fubo could be worth exploring. The service offers comprehensive sports coverage, combining NFL games on Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network, in addition to NCAA football channels.

What time does the Super Bowl halftime show start?
The Super Bowl halftime show is expected to begin sometime between 8 and 8:30 p.m. ET, according to Fox Sports. This is just an approximate time range, however, based on the average game lasting around three to four hours, so stay tuned to the progress of the game. Kendrick Lamar will headline this year's show.
You can watch the halftime show, and other major games and sporting events, via a subscription to Sling TV. With the Orange + Blue tier package, you can watch ESPN, ABC, NBC, and Fox. This plan comes with 46 channels with local NFL games, nationally broadcast games, and a major 50 hours of DVR storage, so you don't have to worry about recording too much football.

How long does the Super Bowl game usually last?
The length of the big game will largely depend on what happens (and doesn't happen) on the field. However, according to Sports Illustrated, the average game length for Super Bowls played from 2004 to 2024 was 3 hours and 38 minutes. If that average holds for 2025, viewers can expect the game to conclude around 10:08 p.m. ET.
While that average may be what viewers can expect from this year's big game, NFL games frequently last much longer. Fortunately you won't have to miss a minute of the action with Hulu + Live TV. This service includes 90 channels, including NFL games and Fox broadcasts. Subscribers also get access to NFL preseason games and studio shows. The service also include ESPN+ and Disney+, making it particularly valuable for the full household.

Steelers Could Make Huge Splash With Former Aaron Rodgers Teammate
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to be a legitimate contender during the upcoming 2025 NFL season. With Aaron Rodgers now onboard, there are major expectations for the team this year. Now that Rodgers has signed with the Steelers, the team should go all-in on winning this season. He's on a one-year deal, which could mean that the team has a one-year window to win a championship. Keeping that in mind, there is a new potential move that has come available for Pittsburgh to make a big splash to improve their chances of contending for a Super Bowl. Photo byCould the Steelers consider pursuing a splash move for one of Rodgers' former teammates? That option has become available for the team. Read more: Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Has Chance at Massive NFL Milestone Jacob Camenker of USA Today has named Pittsburgh as one of the top potential landing spots for recently released and former Green Bay Packers star cornerback Jaire Alexander. "The Steelers are loading up for a potential Super Bowl run after signing Aaron Rodgers to a one-year deal. Could they target Alexander, his former teammate, to help provide depth and talent at cornerback?" Camenker wrote. "Pittsburgh already added two veteran corners to its roster during the offseason in Darius Slay and Brandin Echols, but at this stage in his career, Alexander is better than both. The Steelers could consider signing him and having him split playing time with the 34-year-old Slay to keep both healthy long-term." Alexander has had injury issues that have derailed his career. He has played in just seven games in each of the last two seasons. However, the numbers that he produced in just seven games last season show the amount of talent that he possesses. He racked up 16 tackles, a fumble recovery, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and seven defended passes. Read more: Bills Attempted to Pull Off Major Trade With Packers: Report Taking a low-risk, potentially sky high reward on Alexander would be well worth it for the Steelers. At the very worst, the team could just move on from him following the 2025 season. Should things work out, Alexander would take the Pittsburgh defense to the next level. His playmaking would be a welcome addition, and his sticky coverage would be valuable in an AFC North division with high-powered offenses. It may not be something the Steelers are interested in, but Alexander would make a lot of sense as a late offseason target. For more Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.

WATCH: Former Ohio State player throws out first pitch at Detroit Tigers game
Now that the NFL draft is over and the first-timers that were selected have gone through rookie minicamp, the entire rosters of NFL teams can get on with the status quo of starting to get other camping opportunities underway, all leading up to fall camp and the start of the season. Former Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams was one of the 14 Ohio State football players taken in this year's draft, and he landed in an uncomfortable spot if you will, up in Michigan with the Detroit Lions when they selected him with the No. 28 pick in the first round. He isn't the first -- nor will he be the last -- former Buckeye to play his professional ball at TSUN (Chris Spielman anyone), but he'll have to make a good impression or perhaps face the wrath of those who loved to root against him in college. Advertisement One way to do that is to make the rounds in the community, and Williams was doing just that over this past weekend by not only attending a Detroit Tigers baseball game but by throwing out the first pitch. It wasn't a seed thrown to the plate, but rather a smooth and soft delivery that at least won't get any viral moments, though it was a bit high. If you haven't seen Williams' first pitch against the Cubs on Sunday, get a look here thanks to the Detroit Tigers' "X" (formerly Twitter) account. There are several former Buckeyes getting comfortable in their new environments and cities in the NFL, and as more of these moments are made available, we'll continue to bring them to you. 'Confidence Meter' Full For Commanders' Jayden Daniels In 2025
'Confidence Meter' Full For Commanders' Jayden Daniels In 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels is coming off one of the best rookie seasons ever, and that means expectations are high entering Year 2. Advertisement After a 12-win season and NFC Championship appearance, the next step is logical - a Super Bowl. For a quarterback in his second season, that is quite the bar to reach, but the franchise has made moves to help propel him to that bar. Deeob Samuel and Laremy Tunsil come in, and now, with the expected improvement that quarterbacks take from Year 1 to Year 2, Jayden, for some, is close to entering elite status. While we think that is a little premature, Bleacher Report's Damien Parson, in assessing the confidence meter of second-year quarterbacks on a scale of one (no confidence) to 10 (supremely confident), Jayden's is reading a 10. "The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year had one of the best seasons by a first-year quarterback in NFL history," Parson writes. "Barring anything catastrophic, Daniels is expected to play at a high level again in 2025. One caveat: Nothing is for certain. Advertisement "C.J. Stroud experienced a sophomore slump last season, but his offense took a step back as a whole. Daniels and the Commanders need to avoid the same thing from happening in the nation's capital." Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden DanielsEric Hartline-Imagn Images We don't disagree. We know what happened to Stroud last season, but there is enough around Daniels to cushion the fall if it were to happen. Granted, replicating his efforts last year will be seriously tough, but playoffs and a deep run are now the minimum expectation for a franchise that was in the NFL wilderness just two seasons ago. How times change. And the reason for that is the confidence meter for Daniels propelling this team towards glory is high. Advertisement As it should be.
