One iconic A-list star looked completely unrecognisable with slicked-back hair and a brand-new outfit
An iconic Hollywood star looked totally unrecognisable with slicked back hair and heavy face makeup in new pictures shared online. The actor, who has won an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards, was recently seen with longer, greying hair that was messily slicked back.
Their face looked different with makeup and fine lines, and they rocked a white vest with a leather jacket and black trousers. The star, who recently did voice acting work for The Boy and the Heron, was seen looking serious while walking around a movie set and, at one point, talking to a crew member.

The Hollywood actor in question was wearing three Super Bowl rings and is none other than Christian Bale. He has been filming the upcoming David O'Russell film, Madden, in Atlanta.
Madden also stars Nicolas Cage, who was spotted in a fat suit and long hair, as Raiders head coach-turned-iconic broadcaster John Madden.
Comedian John Mulaney stars as Trip Hawkins, and British actress Sienna Miller as Al's wife Carol Davis. Christina star as the late Al Davis, who is the Oakland Raiders team owner and manager.
Christian has previously discussed his roles and opened up about playing Patrick Bateman in the iconic American Psycho. In a 2022 interview with GQ, he said he was fired from the film during pre-production despite being handpicked for the role.
"I had the book by my side, and I would read through it every single time because [author] Brett [Easton Ellis] had just had so many wonderful descriptions,' Bale said, describing how he approached the character.

'I didn't approach it like she said the other actors had, where they were talking about, 'What's his childhood?' or 'What's the reason he's become this?' I was like, ah, none of that really matters. He's just like this alien.'
He added: "As we were doing the scene, I started laughing, and she started cracking up. We were like, 'Oh yeah, right - this will work between us.''
However, not everyone was sold. The financiers didn't like the idea of Christian playing the lead and wanted a bigger star so he was booted from the movie but he wasn't ready to leave.

He continued preparing for the role and it (obviously) worked out. Christian said he "went a little bit psycho" himself and refused to step aside from the role.
"Even though other people were cast, other directors were on board, I just kept on prepping.' Eventually, the producers relented, and Bale reclaimed the part he never truly let go of.

Father and daughter found dead on Maine hike were long drawn to mountain, family says

A New York father and daughter whose bodies were found on a mountain in Maine earlier this week had planned the hike while on a work trip. Tim Keiderling, 58, of Ulster Park, was found dead Tuesday in the Tablelands area on Mount Katahdin. The body of his 28-year-old daughter, Esther Keiderling, was discovered Wednesday afternoon about 1,000 feet away, between two trails off the Tablelands, Baxter State Park said. Tim was a father of six and a grandfather of two. He and Esther were very close, Tim's brother, Joe Keiderling, said. They both worked for Rifton Equipment, a New York-based medical supply company. "Tim was utterly unique," the brother said in a statement Thursday. "Many young men and women remember him as an elementary school teacher who could hold them spellbound with wildly imaginative stories and escapades in the woods and fields of the Hudson Valley he called home." In his free time, Tim enjoyed tending and growing fruit, such as strawberries and blueberries, and was a beekeeper. His faith was important to him, his brother said. Tim was a member of the Bruderhof Communities, a Christian community in which people share all their possessions, including money, its website states. "At church gatherings, Tim was a regular contributor, not only as a lay pastor but as a gifted storyteller, bringing life and vitality to familiar Bible stories and making them relevant to the issues of the day," Joe said. "At home, he was the consummate host and loved nothing more than lively conversation and a great laugh." Esther was quiet but "deeply sensitive," Joe said. "She loved reading and writing, with a particular fondness for the poets Gerard Manley Hopkins and Edna St. Vincent Millay," her uncle said. She kept a WordPress blog and wrote posts on the platform Substack. On Saturday, she wrote a post on Substack that she and her father were in Maine for a sales trip and had planned a hike, WMTW reported. She said she was "a little nervous" about the hike because of everything she had read about the Abol Trail, according to the news station. Joe Keiderling confirmed to NBC News that the pair had traveled to Maine for work for trainings for therapists on adaptive equipment for kids with disabilities. He said they decided to take a weekend vacation and "climb a mountain that had always attracted them." The park said the pair went missing Sunday after they left Abol Campground to hike the summit. The trail's difficulty is listed as very strenuous on the park's website. Water is limited after the first mile, and the trail is fully exposed after two and a half miles, it says. Authorities launched an extensive search Monday after their vehicle was found parked in a day-use lot. A park official said Thursday that the medical examiner's office will determine how the pair died. There is no evidence of criminal activity, the official said, and investigators are trying to determine why the bodies were found apart.

Actress with a Bradley Cooper connection is unrecognizable in new glam role... can you guess who she is?

This Hollywood star's latest transformation is so good, she's almost impossible to recognize while on set with Nicholas Cage, Christian Bale and Kathryn Hahn. As she transformed into her role as Carol Davis in David O. Russell's upcoming sports drama film Madden, the actress looked straight out of a different era in a glamorous and retro look on Monday. For the role, she sported a voluminous, curly blonde wig, beaded necklaces and a glimmering dress with a 60s inspired print. Her character's wardrobe couldn't be more different from this performer's free-spirited, boho style, which makes identifying her just a bit more challenging. Are you able to recognize this A-lister, whose breakout role was playing Daniel Craig 's love interest in the 2004 film Layer Cake? Hint: Some of her most notable films include Foxcatcher (2014), American Sniper (2014), The Lost City of Z (2016), Live by Night (2016), and American Woman (2018). It's Sienna Miller, of course! This marks the first time she has been seen in character as Carol, who was married to Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis from 1954 until his death in 2011. Rumors that she was in talks for the role were first reported in April by Deadline. While the Raiders are now in Las Vegas, the team has remained in the Davis family since Al passed. Carol is now 95-years-old and is part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, after inheriting the team from her spouse. Their only child, son Mark Davis, 70, also inherited the organization and is now owner. After the team officially moved to Sin City's Allegiant Stadium, Carol helped christen the venue by lighting the Al Davis Torch Memorial ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders' inaugural game back in 2020. 'There's only one person that can possibly light it, and she's agreed to do it, that's the first lady of the Raider Nation -- my mom,' Mark told ESPN at the time. 'I get chills thinking about it. I get goosebumps thinking about it. Probably tears thinking about it. But there's nobody that could have lit it other than her,' he continued. 'Because it's really a tough time in the country, but also here in Nevada, we don't want to seem that we're celebrating or anything of that nature. But to have my mom light that torch means so much, and I think it will mean a lot for everybody in this valley, so I'm excited.' The biopic boasts an all-star cast, with Cage starring as Madden, Bale playing Al Davis and John Mulaney playing Trip Hawkins, the founder of Electronic Arts. Previously, Will Ferrell and Hugh Jackman were in early negotiations in the role for Madden while Tom Hanks was in discussions for Davis. Principal photography for the film began on April 24, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Slicked-back Christian Bale bats away his Dark Knight image to play NFL great Al Davis in Madden biopic

Christian Bale was more cantankerous coach than caped crusader as he appeared on set this week for his latest film. The actor - famed for his roles in Batman and American Psycho - was seen shooting scenes for the NFL-themed biopic, Madden, in which he will play the late Oakland Raiders owner and manager Al Davis. For the shots, the 51-year-old Hollywood star had balding hair slicked back and wore a leather jacket and white T-shirt. The David O Russell movie boasts an all-star cast, with Nicolas Cage starring as John Madden, the Raiders coach and NFL broadcaster who gave his name to the Madden NFL video game. John Mulaney plays Trip Hawkins, the founder of Electronic Arts, while Sienna Miller plays Madden's wife. Al was the managing general partner, principal owner and de facto general manager of the Raiders for 39 years, from 1972 until his death in 2011. On Monday, Sienna and Kathryn Hahn were spotted for the first time in their elegant retro attire as they got into character. Sienna, 43, was particularly glammed up with voluminous blonde curls, beaded necklaces and a glimmering dress with a 60s-inspired print. Kathryn - who plays Virginia Madden - was outfitted in over-sized sunglasses, a chic pea coat and striped turtleneck. Sienna is playing Carol Davis, who was married to Oakland Raiders owner Al from 1954 until his death in 2011. While the Raiders are now in Las Vegas, the team has remained in the Davis family since Al died. Carol is now 95 and is part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, after inheriting the team from her spouse. Their only child, son Mark Davis, 70, also inherited the organization and is now owner. After the team officially moved to Sin City's Allegiant Stadium, Carol helped christen the venue by lighting the Al Davis Torch Memorial ahead of the Las Vegas Raider's inaugural game in 2020. 'There's only one person that can possibly light it, and she's agreed to do it, that's the first lady of the Raider Nation - my mom,' Mark told ESPN at the time. 'I get chills thinking about it. I get goosebumps thinking about it. Probably tears thinking about it. But there's nobody that could have lit it other than her. 'Because it's really a tough time in the country, but also here in Nevada, we don't want to seem that we're celebrating or anything of that nature. 'But to have my mom light that torch means so much, and I think it will mean a lot for everybody in this valley, so I'm excited.' Like the Davis couple, Virginia was married to John Madden from 1959 until his death in December 2021. They have two sons. In early 2022, Virginia returned to the RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland to pay tribute to her late husband at One More Monday Night in Oakland: A Celebration of John Madden. 'When John passed, I said, "I want to have a gathering at the coliseum," ' she said. 'I know he's up there and I know he's smiling down on all of his players that are here and all of you people, the fans that supported him for so many years.' A synopsis of the Madden film on IMDb reads: 'After being forced into retirement by the Oakland Raiders, fiery former NFL head coach John Madden teams up with a mild-mannered Harvard programmer to rewrite his fading legacy by building the world's first football video game.'
