Two Minute Drill for Aug. 21: Jaguars wrap up preseason at Miami; Buccaneers host Bills

Yahooa day ago
The final week of preseason NFL games has arrived. As has the first week of high school football. And we're just a week away from the state's first college football games.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Miami Dolphins, 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23
The Jacksonville Jaguars will head south on I-95 to play the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Given the Jaguars played their starters in their first two preseason games, we might not see much in this one.
However, the Dolphins are playing their ony home preseason game, and their offensive starters only played one series in Week 1, so it's likely we'll get a look at them.
For all the Jaguars storylines, check out the Florida Times-Union's website, jacksonville.com.
For the Dolphins, it's palmbeachpost.com.
Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23
The Buccaneers wrap up their preseason by hosting the Buffalo Bills on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
We haven't seen Baker Mayfield and company, so it's a good bet we'll get a peak at him and other offensive starters.

Pre-Snap Reads 8/21: Seahawks, Packers set for joint scrimmage

The Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers have a preseason game on Saturday afternoon, but the starters are getting their work in through a joint scrimmage in Green Bay. Will we have any melees and skirmishes commonly associated with joint practices? We'll have to wait to find out. Practice is underway as I write this and apparently Jalen Sundell is still getting the 11-on-11 starting reps over Olu Oluwatimi, who's been practicing over the last couple of sessions. I think the center competition has been won, but if they're alternating at any point maybe this goes down to the wire. Enjoy the belatedly put together links! Inter Milan & Albania Star Undergoing Medicals Ahead Of Torino Move

Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani is currently undergoing his medicals ahead of a move to Torino. This according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb. They report that the official announcement of the Albanian's transfer could come as early as this evening. The last few days have seen things finally get in motion for Kristjan Asllani to leave Inter. The Nerazzurri had made it abundantly clear to the 23-year-old that he would not be a part of the project. However, both Inter and Asllani have been waiting for suitable offers. In the last week two clubs have pushed to sign the Albanian international. Bologna and Torino have both been eyeing up a deal before the transfer window slams shut. Whilst the Rossoblu had tried to push through a deal in talks with Inter, the Granata convinced Asllani himself. Therefore, the former Empoli midfielder has chosen Turin as his next destination. Report – Lens Midfielder Had Agreement With Napoli Before Inter Milan Hijack

Lens midfielder Andy Diouf reportedly had agreed terms with Napoli before Inter Milan hijacked the deal. This according to French outlet RMC Sport, via FCInterNews. Inter Milan have been working to sign a midfielder in the final couple weeks of the transfer window. The Nerazzurri had made an offer for Roma's Manu Kone last week. Meanwhile, they have also targeted other midfielders such as Morten Frendrup and Mandela Keita. However, in a whirlwind pursuit Inter have wrapped up a deal for Lens midfielder Andy Diouf. (Photo by) According to RMC Sport, Inter are not the only club from Serie A to pursue Diouf. Furthermore, the French outlet report that Napoli did not only go after Diouf. They also looked to have an agreement with the player. However, the Partenopei did not seal a deal with Lens. Therefore, that gave Inter the opening to move in and hijack the transfer. They have settled upon Diouf as their reinforcement in midfield for the final couple weeks of the summer transfer window.
