Mark Chapman will be first of new trio to host Saturday's Match of the Day
Chapman is part of a three-person presenting line-up alongside Kelly Cates and Gabby Logan, who will work on rotation this season following the departure of former lead presenter Gary Lineker.
PA understands Chapman will be the first of the trio to host the flagship Saturday night show.
It is understood Cates will host a programme on Wednesday consisting of UEFA Super Cup highlights and a look ahead to the new Premier League season, while Logan will host Match of the Day's Sunday night programme this week.

The BBC announced on 15 January that Cates, Chapman and Logan would be the new presenting team.
The news came following weeks of speculation about who would take over from Lineker after he said last year that he was stepping down.
The 64-year-old had long intended the final Match of the Day of last season, on 26 May, to be the last time he would present the highlights programme but he was planning to stay on to front the BBC's live coverage of the FA Cup and 2026 World Cup.
Earlier in the month however he announced he was bringing forward his departure following a social media row in which he shared a post about Zionism featuring a depiction of a rat, historically used as an antisemitic trope.
Lineker, the BBC's highest-paid presenter and host of Match of the Day since 1999, apologised unreservedly for the post but said it was 'best for all concerned' if he left completely.
Cates, the daughter of former Liverpool forward and manager Sir Kenny Dalglish, has been a presenter with Sky Sports since rejoining the broadcaster in 2016, fronting coverage of the Premier League.
Cates is continuing in her role with Sky Sports. Chapman has been broadcasting for more than 25 years and has been a regular presenter of the BBC's Sunday night Match of the Day programme in the past.

Former gymnast Logan became one of the first female sports anchors to break into terrestrial television and has covered several Olympic Games, the World Cup and the Commonwealth Games during her time at the BBC.
She has presented Match Of The Day in Lineker's absence on many occasions, and was also a key part of the BBC's coverage of the last two Women's Euros in 2022 and this summer, with England emerging triumphant on both occasions.

Jack Grealish joins Everton on season-long loan from Manchester City
Everton have completed the signing of England winger Jack Grealish on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The 29-year-old has been looking for an exit from Etihad Stadium after making only seven Premier League starts for Pep Guardiola's side last season, seeking regular football ahead of next summer's World Cup. 'I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton – it's massive for me, honestly,' Grealish said. 'This is a great club, with great fans. 'As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew there was only one place that I wanted to go. On social media, I've been flooded with messages from Everton supporters, so there's that side of it as well and that's another reason why I chose Everton. ‘Surreal' - Ireland's Nathan Collins on decision to hand him Brentford captaincy
Ireland defender Nathan Collins has opened up about the decision to hand him the captain's armband at Premier League side Brentford. The centre-half has been given the honour by new Bees boss Keith Andrews, who previously worked with Collins when he was Stephen Kenny's assistant in the Ireland coaching team. Collins described the moment he was told he would lead the top-flight side as 'surreal.' The 24-year-old former Cherry Orchard, Stoke City, Burnley and Wolves man joined Brentford for a club record €26million two summers ago and has played 77 times for the club so far. He said: 'It's a proud moment for myself, for my family, for everyone that's put the work in for me since I was a kid. 'It's a real surreal moment and a moment that I'll remember forever.' Collins paid tribute to his new club boss, saying: 'I've known Keith a long time, he's been my coach for many years in the Irish set-up as well, so I've known him a long time. 'Any conversations I've had with him have been fluid, and very open and honest, and once he asked me I was buzzing, I couldn't, I'd never say no to an opportunity like that. 'Brentford has given me plenty of opportunities. From day one, when I came in, I've gotten along with everyone here. 'I could have a conversation with any member of staff, any player. The club has given me plenty of opportunities, so to do this is unbelievable.' Collins has plenty of influences to tap into as he embarks on this latest stage in his career, and he has experience of his own in wearing the armband. Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrímsson has turned to the Leixlip native in the absence of Seamus Coleman. He said: 'I'd like to think I can be a natural leader on the pitch and just do what I do. 'I feel like there will be a bit more responsibility off the pitch and just keep the standards high, etcetera, and nothing will have to change too much. 'I've been fortunate enough to have some unbelievable captains. Even from my time at Stoke I had Ryan Shawcross, I learned a lot from him, I had Ben Mee at Burnley, Ruben Neves at Wolves and I obviously had (Christian) Norgard here, which are four unbelievable captains. 'I've learned loads and to this day I still talk to them a lot. So anything I have, any questions, I can just bounce off them. 'Luckily for me, there are still enough leaders in the squad now that I can use. 'I feel like we need leaders all over the pitch. People lead in different ways and that's normal, but to have so many in the squad with such a young, exciting squad, it's a real good balance. 'With this group I have, with the mates I have, my family, everyone backing me and behind me, I'm hoping it will be easy.'
