Liverpool in talks with Crystal Palace over move for Marc Guehi
Arne Slot's Reds have been busy since winning last season's Premier League, with Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez among the summer arrivals.
Liverpool have also seen a £110million bid rejected in recent weeks for unsettled Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, but defensive reinforcements appear to be the current priority.

PA understands the Anfield outfit are in discussions with Palace over a deal for England international Guehi.
The 25-year-old captained the Eagles to victory against Liverpool in Sunday's Community Shield at Wembley and is out of contract next summer.
Guehi starred in England's run to the Euro 2024 final and will want regular game time ahead of next summer's World Cup.
Liverpool are hopeful that the former Chelsea defender wants to join them but sources have denied reports that personal terms have been agreed.
PA understands Liverpool are also interested in 18-year-old defender Leoni from Parma and are in talks with the Serie A side.
The Italy Under-19 international spent time with Padova and Sampdoria before moving to Emilia-Romagna last year.

Caoimhin Kelleher is a doubt for Brentford's Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. The Ireland goalkeeper missed last weekend's pre-season friendly draw with Borussia Monchengladbach, although the nature of his injury was not disclosed. Speaking ahead of his first Premier League game in charge of the Bees, former Ireland coach Andrews admitted that the Corkman was touch and go. 'But, overall, we're in a pretty good place on that front.' Andrews added that he was pleased overall with his goalkeeping options - and that he was delighted to take over shortly after the arrival of a player he was very familiar with from his time as Stephen Kenny's assistant. 'The goalkeeping situation happened before I became head coach,' he said, 'but I'm happy with who we got in for obvious reasons. Caoimhin Kelleher is a goalkeeper I rate very highly.' Kelleher joined Brentford early in the summer from Liverpool for a fee that could rise to over €20million. He played 46 times for over the last two seasons for the Anfield side, where he played back-up to Brazil netminder Alisson. Newcastle agree £40m fee for Aston Villa winger Jacob Ramsey
The 24-year-old is due to travel to the north east for a medical after a deal in the region of £40million was agreed, it is understood. The prospective sale of Ramsey, who has made 167 appearances at Villa Park, will represent pure profit for Villa, who are walking a UEFA financial fair play and PSR tightrope and need to sell. If the medical goes without problem and personal terms are agreed in the next 24 hours, Ramsey could be a Newcastle player by the time they visit Villa Park for Saturday lunchtime's Premier League opener. Villa boss Unai Emery is not expected to see much, if any, of the financial proceeds as the club's spending is under the close eye of UEFA after they were fined £9.5m for breaching regulations. They are keen on re-signing Paris St Germain midfielder Marco Asensio, who spent the second half of last season on loan. Ramsey's arrival at St James' Park will boost spirits after a difficult transfer window for Eddie Howe's side.
