New on Netflix in June 2025 — every movie and show coming this month
Netflix has announced everything coming to the streaming service in June 2025 and it's a lot to unpack. So I'm highlighting five must-watch shows and movies that you need to add to your watchlist.
The biggest name by far this month is a familiar one: "Squid Game." The hit Korean thriller is back for its third and final season, and it probably goes without saying, but you don't want to miss it.
That's not the only returning show this month. "Ginny & Georgia" also returns for its third season, and the Shane Gillis comedy series "Tires" returns for season 2. Whether these are familiar names to you or not, they're undoubtedly the biggest names arriving on Netflix this month.
Aside from these top picks, I've got the full slate of everything new to Netflix this month listed below. Plus, we have a roundup of what's leaving Netflix in June 2025, so you have one last chance to watch.
Here's everything coming to — and leaving — Netflix this month.
"Squid Game" has been one of the biggest shows on Netflix — ever. The dystopian Korean-language thriller is a must-watch whenever new episodes arrive, and this final batch of episodes will be no different.
If you've never seen the show before, it stars Lee Jung-jae as Gi-hun, who starts the series as a down-on-his-luck divorced dad, estranged from his daughter and desperate for cash.

He finds an opportunity for cash, but gets far more than he bargained for and is drawn into a series of deadly children's games with a massive cash prize. He's trying to end the games once and for all, but his attempt was thwarted at the end of season 2. Now, he's the prisoner of The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and he might never be seen in public again.

"Ginny and Georgia" stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, a 30-year-old mother who, between child abuse and being a mother since her teenage years, is carrying a lot of trauma. It's caused her to flee more than one relationship or home at the first possible sign of danger.
That's been rough for her kids: Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca). But they've seemed to have found a home in Wellsbury, Massachusetts, and Georgia seems to have found a long-term partner in her husband-to-be, Paul (Scott Porter), who is the mayor of the town.
But that fairy tale ending for their story has been put on hold. Georgia was arrested for murder during her wedding. Can the Miller family handle that pressure? Or will it fracture Ginny and Georgia's already stressed mother-daughter relationship?
Stream on Netflix starting June 5
"Tires" stars Steve Gerben as Will, the manager of one of his family's struggling auto-repair shops. But he's not alone at Valley Forge Automotive Center. His obnoxious cousin Shane (Shane Gillis) messes with Will every chance he gets, as do, frankly, the rest of the staff.
Season 2 begins with things looking good for Will, though. A surprise marketing win has Will and Shane riding high and the shop doing well, but now they face new challenges.
This show is often more funny than good, but given that it's absolutely hysterical, it's still definitely worth watching.
Stream on Netflix starting June 5
"The Waterfront" stars Jake Weary as Cane Buckley. Cane's part of the Buckley family, a prominent North Carolina fishing family, led by Cane's parents: patriarch Harlan (Holt McCallany) and matriarch Mae (Maria Bello).
Things aren't going well for the Buckleys behind the scenes, though, and they're in danger of losing everything. That causes Harlan to turn to drug smuggling, and puts the Buckleys in bed with an up-and-coming drug lord, Grady (Topher Grace).
Based on the trailer, "The Waterfront" looks like a healthy mix of comedy, melodrama and crime. It also looks like it could be Netflix's next surprise hit.

This thriller stars Taraji P. Henson as Janiyah, a single mother whose day just keeps getting worse.
She's just been evicted and is struggling to care for her sick daughter. With nothing left to lose, she holds a bank hostage until she can cash a check and get money to pay for her daughter's medicine.
"Tyler Perry's Straw" also stars Sherri Shepherd as Nicole, the bank teller who has to stop Janiyah from doing something more drastic than she's already done. They're joined by Teyana Taylor as Detective Raymond, who empathizes with Janiyah and wants to bring her in without totally ruining her life.

When Lindsay Lohan made her big return to acting in 2022 with the Netflix holiday rom-com, Falling for Christmas, fans all over the world hoped that she would not only continue to bring us new characters, but step back into some old ones, as well. Now that we are well into the 2025 movie schedule, and getting closer to the release of Freakier Friday (which brings her together with Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis again), she's been talking about coming back to the profession that made her famous while promoting the upcoming film. Now, Lohan's opening up about beauty standards in Hollywood. Even though Lindsay Lohan has already admitted to being a bit 'jealous' of the young stars who are coming up today, the former child star would likely confirm that one thing hasn't changed much, and that's the Hollywood beauty standard. People (and women in particular) in the entertainment industry are pretty much still expected to look as young, thin, and fashionable as possible when not in character, a fact that has led to much negative commentary about how stars like Selena Gomez, Kelly Clarkson, and many others look. In speaking with Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman (who has a role in Freakier Friday) for Elle Magazine, the topic turned to beauty standards when the Just My Luck leading lady noted that she's currently working on a line of beauty products (much like the aforementioned Gomez, whose Rare Beauty has made her a billionaire). That admission led to this quick exchange: Lohan: Everyone does Botox. Fineman: Last night at dinner, I was with somebody, and they're like, 'I've never had it.'And I was like, 'What? Are you kidding?' Lohan: Who are you? It's like, 'You lie.' I know a lot of people, even those who don't face near constant public scrutiny about their appearance, have had Botox. Many of us simply do not want to be wrinkled or to appear to have physically aged at all, despite the fact that everyone will do just that at some point. However, it hadn't really occurred to me that it would be so hard to buck the Botox trend in Hollywood that it's seemingly impossible to come upon someone in the industry who hasn't experimented with using the substance to erase as many wrinkles as possible at least once. Stars have begun to speak out about unrealistic beauty standards, and Lohan's co-star, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis has been among them. In 2023, after singer Karol G came out against her heavily retouched GQ cover, Curtis spoke up about how things like that hurt all women and contribute to us feeling ashamed of ourselves. Other stars have done similar things in recent years, like Florence Pugh discussing how harshly women's bodies are judged, Halle Berry talking about 'challenging' stereotypes of older women, and Demi Moore revealing the 'tremendous gift' of aging. Speaking of that beauty line that Lohan is developing, Fineman did ask for more info on how she takes care of her own health and beauty when the Mean Girls star admitted to being 'crazy about my skin and health.' Lohan added: Oh, God, I don't even know how to answer that. I drink this juice every morning. It's like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple. I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I'm a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything. My skin care is very specific. I'm trying out some serums now that I'm doing—I'm testing them. Also, I'm a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I'm into lasers. Honestly, all of that sounds fine to me except the lasers. They've been used to clear up a number of skin concerns, like acne and, yes, even wrinkles, but I'll just have to turn into an old bog witch eventually if that's the best way to stop one from looking old. And, you know what? I'm totally fine with that. It'll probably finally keep the neighborhood kids out of my yard once they get a look at me.

Netflix's YOU repeated atop Nielsen's U.S. ranking of streaming originals for the week of April 28, amassing nearly 1.8 billion minutes viewed across 50 total episodes. In its first week of eligibility, Netflix's The Four Seasons made its chart debut in the No. 2 spot with 1.3 billion minutes viewed/eight episodes, followed by Disney+'s Andor (with a new weekly high of 821 million minutes viewed across 18 available episodes), Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale (612 million minutes/62 available episodes), and Netflix's Ransom Canyon (504 million minutes viewed/10 episodes). ‘Ginny & Georgia' Season 3 Teases Arrest Aftermath and Mother-Daughter Drama: Everything We Know
Ginny Miller and Georgia Miller will return to Netflix for season 3 and fans will learn Georgia's fate after she was arrested during the season 2 finale for the murder of Tom Fuller (Vincent Legualt). Quick clips flashed throughout the trailer, including a moment when Ginny sat next to her dad, Zion Miller (Nathan Mitchell), brother Austin Miller (Diesel La Torraca) and stepfather Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) on a court bench, seemingly during Georgia's court date. Georgia, played by Brianne Howey, was arrested for the murder of Cynthia Fuller's late husband, Tom, who was in a coma during season 2. The full Ginny & Georgia season 3 trailer was released on May 8, 2025, and offered a closer look at what's to come. In one scene, Ginny lamented to Max about everybody at school staring at her while her mother awaited her murder trial. However, as Max pointed out, 'Your college essay writes itself.' Another scene showed Georgia's lawyer telling her that being found guilty of first-degree murder meant life in prison without the possibility of parole. The clip flashed to a courtroom, where a judge told Georgia, 'You will be on house arrest. You will be monitored with an ankle bracelet until trial.' As the tensions rose throughout the trailer, scenes flashed of Max telling her friends that she's worried about Ginny and Georgia experiencing a panic attack.
