Ronaldo, 40, previously said he was "1000 per cent sure" he would marry Georgina, who is mum to two of his children.
They met while Georgina, 31, was working in a Gucci shop in Spain in 2016.
The Spaniard was working as a sales assistant and revealed it was "love at first sight" - for both her and Ronaldo.
She told Italy's Elle magazine: 'The first meeting with Ronaldo was at Gucci where I worked as a sales assistant.

'Days later we saw each other again at another brand's event and it was then we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment. It was love at first sight for both.'
They have been together ever since and have two children together - Alana Martina, 7, and Bella, 3.
Georgina is also raising Ronaldo's twins Eva and Mateo, 8, and 10-year-old son Cristiano Jr.
The pair are now set to tie the knot following Ronaldo's proposal, with Georgina stating publicly: "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."

Georgina sparked engagement speculation back in April by posting a picture of a different ring on her finger.
And although she had to wait, her love for Ronaldo remained unwavering.

She told The Sun: "Being the partner of someone so famous is not easy but I would not change it for the world.
"What I feel for him is stronger than anything, any kind of pressure. Together we are stronger and there is a mutual admiration."
Ronaldo was always sure he would marry Georgina too, but he wanted to wait until the time was right.
He said: "I always tell her, 'when we get that click.' Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about.
"It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I'm 1,000 per cent sure that it'll happen."
Ronaldo and Georgina's family base is now in Riyadh, as he plays for Saudi side Al-Nassr.
Georgina posted her engagement update to Instagram from the Saudi capital.

Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it's not a problem in my life." Andy continued: "We're better off together and we're trying to work through our difficulties." The couple had been together for more than a year before their split. And at the time they unfollowed each other from social media. Andy even went as far as to erase all trace of Lou from his Instagram account. Since their reunion, the couple resumed their trademark loved up posts of each other. Andy had been playing football in France for two years before returning to the UK to play for Dagenham and Redbridge. One of the couple's arguments were in public and was witnessed by a restaurant worker. Things between the pair reportedly became heated, to the point where police were called. A worker at the Nikolus Tavern in Greece told The Sun on Sunday: "He [Andy] seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. They added: "It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset." The police spoke to Andy and later allowed him to return to Lou. The worker continued: "Police spoke to him. He was allowed to return, and the couple left after paying for their meal. Andy was very calm when the police arrived — he stood up and spoke to them outside the restaurant." In a joint statement given to The Sun, it read: "Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to "look after" us. The couple added: "As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter."
