Social media users are proving why nothing beats a Jet2 holiday. What's that?

USA Today5 days ago
As of late, the internet seems to be in agreement on one thing: nothing beats a Jet2 holiday.
A 2024 television ad for the British airline Jet2 recently resurfaced on TikTok, sparking thousands of users to share their own videos with the audio.
Set to the tune of Jess Glynne's 2015 song "Hold My Hand," the ad cheerily declares, "nothing beats a Jet2 holiday."
It goes on to detail a discount of £50 per person on flights — which totals £200 for a family of four, the ad points out.
The clip has been used over a million times across several audios available on TikTok, with users superimposing the sound over funny moments.
Even the voice actor behind the viral audio and the airline itself have weighed in on the trend. Here's what to know.
What is a Jet2 holiday?
Jet2 is a British airline company. In 2024, it released a television ad titled "nothing beats a Jet2 holiday."
The original clip, which has more than two million views on YouTube, promotes a discount on flights using a series of clips of a family on vacation.
In British English, it is common to refer to a vacation as a holiday.
Voice behind 'nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' weighs in on virality
Zoë Lister, a voice actor from the United Kingdom who narrates the viral clip, has leaned into the success on social media.
"Chances are if you have a social media account and you live in 2025 on planet Earth, you've heard my voice," she said in an Instagram video this month.
Lister said since the audio gained popularity, she has received messages from people all around the world asking about Jet2 holidays.
On July 21, Lister and Glynne, the artist whose song is used in the original ad, met up for an appearance on air for Capital UK radio station.
"One more thing off our 2025 bucket list" Jet2 commented on the post.
'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' trend explained
TikTok users have taken over the sound for funny moments that exude the opposite of vacation relaxation — from clips of unwanted rodents and creepy crawlers to activities like axe throwing and surfing gone wrong.
Here's a look at some of the videos.

However, others praised the 'incredible' and 'emotional' balcony scene. After slamming those who voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, she allegedly butted heads with co-star Gal Gadot over their differences regarding the Israel-Palestinian war in Gaza.

Her beauty hack is no longer under wraps. UK-based makeup influencer Sam Begum is dividing the Internet with her head-scratching yet speedy makeup routine: a full face of cosmetics applied to a piece of plastic wrap at night, then slapped on her face in the morning. Videos of her technique have racked up nearly 10 million views on TikTok in recent weeks. The next morning, she finishes the routine by reversing the plastic and placing the side with the cosmetics on her face. Is ‘Top Boy' returning for season 6? Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 26, 2025, 20:30 IST Last updated July 26, 2025, 15:43 IST Fans of the gritty British crime drama Top Boy are buzzing with questions about whether the Summerhouse estate will return for a sixth season. After the explosive finale of Season 5, which Netflix labeled as the final chapter, speculation is rife about the show's future. Here's everything we know so far about Top Boy Season 6. Has Top Boy Season 6 Been Confirmed? As of now, Top Boy Season 6 has not been greenlit by Netflix. The streaming giant, along with the show's cast and creative team, confirmed that Season 5, which premiered on September 7, 2023, was intended to be the final chapter. In a joint statement, lead actors Ashley Walters (Dushane) and Kane Robinson (Sully) emphasized that 'every story must have an ending,' signaling their intent to wrap up the series after five seasons. The decision to end the show came primarily from the cast and creators, not Netflix, with Walters noting in a GQ interview that continuing indefinitely didn't feel right for the story's authenticity. Despite this, Netflix initially expressed interest in extending the series, but the creative team's desire to end on a high note prevailed. However, the door isn't entirely closed, as fan demand and unresolved storylines could pave the way for new developments. Why Did Top Boy Season 5 Feel Like the End? Warning: Spoilers for Top Boy Season 5 ahead! Season 5 delivered a definitive conclusion for the show's central characters, Dushane and Sully. Both met tragic ends, with Dushane succumbing to his injuries and Sully's fate sealed in a shocking finale. These conclusive endings make it unlikely for Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson to return as leads in a potential Season 6. The season tied up many loose ends, but it also left some questions unanswered, particularly the identity of Sully's shooter, which has fueled speculation about future stories. The show's creator, Ronan Bennett, and co-director William Stefan Smith have emphasized that ending after five seasons aligns with the British tradition of concluding shows early to maintain quality. This decision was echoed by actress Jasmine Jobson (Jaq), who told the Royal Television Society that ending the series was fitting given its heavy subject matter.
