ITV The Chase's Jenny Ryan addresses 'incorrect' answer amid fix allegations
The Chase star Jenny Ryan, known as The Vixen, appeared on the Loose Women panel to address rumours surrounding "fix" allegations. It comes as viewers fumed following one episode where her "incorrect" response resulted in victory.
Jenny, who stars alongside host Bradley Walsh on the popular game show, found herself embroiled in controversy when a pair of knowledgeable contestants, Nick and Laura, gave her a genuine challenge during a tense final chase.
The pair had successfully gained 14 correct responses between them under their belt on the ITV programme, and although not a top score, it can certainly pile pressure onto the chasers to stay on top of their game to keep up.
The episode in question has continued to generate discussion among viewers and remains a divisive subject among those who tuned in, as reported by Bristol Live.
There was a lot of debate online, as a storm was created by fans after the two contestants left the show empty handed. Jenny seized the chance to explain the behind-the-scenes details that viewers hadn't witnessed.
At the time, allegations surfaced accusing Bradley Walsh of "rigging" the programme, with numerous people maintaining that Jenny's answer should have been deemed "incorrect".
During her appearance on Loose Women, alongside panellists including Kaye Adams, Coleen Nolan, Judi Love, and Nadia Sawalha, Jenny addressed the reasons she became entangled in the drama.
Judi started off the conversation, asking: "There was something really simple like a milk bottle that completely turned everything upside down."
Jenny spoke about how a seemingly harmless question sparked controversy amongst viewers, as she explained, "In the final chase I was asked a question about 'what colour is the lid on a bottle of semi-skimmed milk?'".
The panellists paused as they got in thought about the question, before launching into discussion as they unanimously decided on "green" as their response.
Jenny interrupted at that point as she gave a detailed clarification, "If you've got a plastic bottle from most supermarkets, I immediately thought of getting your milk delivered and it's red and silver on the top of a glass bottle."
Kaye responded stunned, as she decalred "Ohh is it," whilst Jenny continued: "So I went old school, so I gave the answer and production had to pause while everyone verified the facts and resolved the issue."
Jenny then emphasised the involvement of legal experts during The Chase recordings, as she noted "But thankfully we have lawyers on site when we're filming The Chase - who look after the contestants and the best interests of the chasers - and they agreed that it was an acceptable answer."
Coleen, curious about the result, inquired: "So was that in the final chase?" to which Jenny replied, "Yes it was," leading Coleen to probe further: "So did they lose?". With a wince, the quiz expert acknowledged, "Yes they did."

Emotional Myleene Klass claims she caught ex cheating on her with another celebrity at a party
MYLEENE Klass has revealed the shocking moment she caught her ex husband Graham Quinn cheating on her with another celebrity. The Loose Women star, 47, said she walked in on her ex and a famous woman in the industry "unzipping" each other's clothes. 6 6 6 Myleene said the heartbreaking moment happened in her own home at her birthday party while she and Graham were in a relationship. The singer, who did not name the mystery lady, said that while her life had "broken down in public", the woman he allegedly cheated with was continuing to "build a family brand". Speaking on We Need To Talk podcast, Myleene said: "I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony. "I've made peace with that situation now but for a long time it was very difficult to see their life… Not that I would wish that on a family. "I don't know, I feel conflicted. "But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. "And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with." Myleene said she kicked all of her guests out of the party including her ex's parents following the humiliating ordeal. She continued: "It was in my house, it was my party. They weren't having sex but they were unzipping each other. 'It's not what you think,' but it is what I think. It's the first thing they both said. "I kicked everybody out of the party including his mum and dad. Myleene Klass breaks down in tears on Loose Women over four 'nightmare' miscarriages "They went back to Ireland. And his dad said, 'He doesn't get it from me.' I was like, OK, I just remember that being quite a weird thing to say." Despite Graham's alleged infidelity, Myleene claimed he apologised and blamed the booze for his actions She said: "He said it was the drink. I have to take some accountability, first and foremost to my children. "My children have asked enough questions and it's never been a case of laying out my stall now, it's got to be as and when. "But here's the funny thing, school mums, people who just want to gossip, will go to your children before anybody else. "They'll tell them facts. But they've been raised by me and only me." Myleene started dating her bodyguard Graham while she was still in Hear'Say. The couple dated for around six years before having their first child, Ava, in 2007. Their next daughter, Hero Harper was born in 2011. Later that year Myleene and Graham were married, but just six months later he walked out on her and they were divorced in 2013. Myleene revealed that she spent her wedding day in floods of tears after he stopped her from "planning" a proper celebration. She said her ex believed the wedding was "turning into a circus" with "too many people". The TV said: "It was the most miserable… No one forgot this wedding because I literally cried the entire reception because it wasn't even really a reception. We had to haggle our way through with the restaurant, could we have some burgers and put the tables together? "There was no planning because I wasn't allowed to plan a wedding." Myleene is thought to be worth around £11 million, but didn't sign a pre-nup when they signed the knot. She recalled: "So we'd had the biggest row, myself and my ex, and he'd gone off, because I'd asked him why he wouldn't sign the prenup. I asked him to sign a prenup. "On the night of our wedding I asked again. "I just felt something was wrong and he didn't want a big wedding. "My best mate wasn't even at my wedding. They weren't allowed to come otherwise he wouldn't go through with it and it was just trying to claw, and hold on to those last moments." Despite the red flags, Myleene still went through with the wedding for the sake of her kids and persuasion from her Catholic mother. "I had a six month old baby and had my mother, she didn't want me to have children out of wedlock," she admitted. "He's Irish Catholic and I don't think his family were that happy that he'd had kids out of wedlock either. "So let's bring in good old Catholicism because that'll fix it." But just a few months later the pair separated after Myleene believes Graham was cheating on her again. She said: "I hired a tour manager and I took my babies with me; I took my friend with me; to where I knew he was working, to do a surprise. "And I knew there'd been somebody in that room. "Weirdly even then… Christ. The baby was so little and that was trial by papers. It was horrific. "There's nothing you can't throw at me now ever that I can't come through and I've lost babies, I've been to court, I've lost a house. That divorce and the mud that was slung and the kiss and tells… taking all of that on…" Myleene believes her ex had been planning to leave her after she found out that he had purchased a house without her knowing. She continued: "One pop star rang me up and she was like, 'I think I've got your money, it's in my safe'. "He'd hidden the money because he was way down the line. They say you don't leave when you leave, you've gone already. "He'd actually got a house. He had a secret house that he'd bought already. "You don't just buy a house like that. When that came through I was reeling from it." The most shocking moment came when Myleene claimed he wrote down a figure on a post-it note, which detailed how much he wanted in the divorce. The singer said: "On the day he decided it was over, he pushed a little Post-It note across the table with the figure he wanted. I was just like, how have you figured this out?" She added: "All I will say to you is I've raised my children single-handedly, financially, as a sole parent for 12 years." Myleene is now engaged to Simon Motson, who she met four and a half years after her divorce. On Valentine's Day, 2019, the television presenter revealed that she was pregnant with her third child - her first with Simon. She gave birth to baby boy Apollo on August 1, 2019. Myleene previously talked about her divorce from Graham in an interview with Woman magazine, where she said she felt "so betrayed and so crushed". 6 6 6

Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter reveals which stars are at risk from brutal ITV cuts
Journalist Janet Street-Porter has revealed which panellists are safe and which ones are at risk amid huge cost-saving cuts at ITV Loose Women favourite Janet Street-Porter has shed light on the looming cuts coming to ITV which are set to impact several daytime shows. Panellist and journalist Janet, 78, has insisted that none of the 'older' Loose Women panellists will be going anywhere, hinting that if jobs are to be cut, it will be the newcomers or younger stars who appear on the ITV show. "There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite of what some people have said," Janet insisted. "In fact, the reserve is true. ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relates to us." Janet added: "I think Loose Women has become a programme that is trusted by a lot of women because we talk about the issues that they are concerned about - whether it's female health, domestic violence, or how politicians don't really understand working women. "I think the show has managed to connect women who wouldn't otherwise have a voice. And it's delivered with a lot of laughs because we don't take ourselves too seriously," she told Bella. It comes as Loose Women is facing its biggest shake-up in decades, with dramatic changes that have left fans and cast members reeling as insiders fear the ITV favourite could be axed altogether within the next year. The iconic lunchtime chat show, known for its bold debates and A-list guests, is expected to cut celebrity interviews completely from January as part of sweeping budget cuts across ITV Daytime. The move comes just months after bosses announced the show would only air for 30 weeks of the year rather than its usual 52, slashing production time nearly in half. Now, with viewing figures predicted to tumble even further, sources claim Loose Women is 'on borrowed time' as ITV pivots its focus to sister shows Lorraine and This Morning. Over its 25 year history, Loose Women has welcomed some of the world 's biggest stars to the panel - from Naomi Campbell and Janet Jackson to Dame Joan Collins and even former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. But sources claim the show will no longer feature famous faces promoting their projects because there won't be enough staff to manage guests behind the scenes. Instead, those high-profile bookings will now reportedly be prioritised for Lorraine and This Morning, leaving Loose Women to rely solely on its panel discussions of the day's news and lifestyle topics. 'Not having guests is a big blow for both the presenters and viewers at home,' an insider revealed. 'The celebrity interviews are often one of the highlights of the show and bring a unique energy you don't get on other programmes. It feels like a strange decision to cut them altogether.' Behind the scenes, the panel - including long-serving stars like Nadia Sawalha, Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan - are said to be 'deeply upset' by the changes. Loose Women has already axed its live studio audience, a move that has left both the panel and crew heartbroken. Nadia Sawalha admitted she was 'totally devastated' at the loss of the audience and spoke out in support of her close friend and warm-up artist Lee Peart, who lost his job as a result. 'The audience is so important for the show,' Nadia said. 'What a lot of people don't realise is that we're self-employed. Every contract is a new contract - I could be let go tomorrow or in five years. It's brutal.' She added: 'Hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue. A lot of my friends and colleagues on this show and at ITV have been there for decades, and I can't tell you how upsetting it was to see people walking around numb with shock and fear about what they were going to do.' ITV bosses have blamed 'insane inflation' and rising costs for the daytime cuts, which have also seen Lorraine halved to 30 minutes and reduced to term-time broadcasts. In May, ITV confirmed that production of Good Morning Britain will shift to a dedicated team at ITV News, while Loose Women, Lorraine, and This Morning will merge behind-the-scenes teams to save costs. But industry insiders warn that these measures will likely spell the end for Loose Women. An ITV spokesperson said: 'The Loose Women team is still working on the show and its content for next year.' On screen, viewers will see huge changes to the daytime schedule. Lorraine is the worst hit. It will run for 30 weeks, not 50 weeks a year, and will be slashed from an hour to 30 minutes each day. Loose Women will stay at the same running time but will also be cut to 30 weeks. This Morning will remain the same length and frequency. The Loose Women panel, including Coleen Nolan, GK Barry and Frankie Bridge, are also expected to see shifts dwindle, especially those who live outside London and charge for travel and hotels. Glam squads are also expected to be axed with stars expected to use in-house make-up. Meanwhile Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes, to run from 6am to 9.30am. For the 22 weeks of the year Lorraine is not airing, it will go on until 10am. Speaking about the huge cuts, an insider recently told The Mirror: "It's not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it's impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same. "Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it's just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward."
