A world famous F1 driver walked into a Home Depot in Broward County. Fans flipped
The massive store on Oakwood Boulevard hosted a famous visitor and things got a little cray, as per video posted by Only in Dade.
That would be F1 star Carlos Sainz Jr., in town for the Miami Grand Prix at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens all weekend.
The clip begins with Sainz, flanked by security guards, getting escorted to the front of the store, with excited looking customers taking his pic. A woman pushes a hat toward him to autograph with a Sharpie ('Please!'), but the Spaniard keeps it moving.
Outside in the parking lot, even more fans are gathered behind steel barriers, screaming his name and just basically freaking out.
A guard yells 'Back up!' as Sainz climbs into a waiting SUV.
So did the Atlassian Williams Racing driver just need a few tools? Naw. Turns out the 30-year-old was making a promotional appearance for Duracell.
Home Depot shoppers had already been alerted via social media that the first 75 people to buy a pack of batteries and bring their receipt to the Duracell booth on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. would score a wristband to meet Sainz.
The next time locals can catch the speed demon is at the Miami International Autodrome. Sainz will be in the F1 Sprint (half hour) race on Saturday and the actual main event on Sunday.
Didn't snag tickets to the grandstand? There's a free, four day F1 fan fest in Wynwood kicking off 4 p.m. Thursday, and you can watch the action safely on TV.

Why Jon Rahm's $18 million LIV Golf payday was ‘bittersweet'
Jon Rahm wasn't exactly in the mood for a victory lap Sunday when he claimed his second straight LIV Golf Individual Championship title and an $18 million bonus. When reflecting on his performance in Indianapolis this past weekend, the two-time major winner called the moment 'bittersweet' after falling short in a playoff for the second consecutive week and missing out on an individual tournament victory for the 2025 season. 'I know I'm supposed to be happy, it's a great moment, it doesn't feel great to finish the year losing two playoffs,' Rahm, 30, began. '… I'm sure over time I'll get over that, and I'll really appreciate what I've done this year. To be able to win the season without actually winning a tournament, I know I'll be proud of that.' 4 Jon Rahm spoke following his performance at LIV Golf's Indianapolis event on Aug. 17, 2025. Getty Images Rahm, in his second season on the Saudi-backed circuit, shot an 11-under 60 Sunday in the final round of the Indianapolis tournament, tying Sebastian Muñoz for the top slot. In a one-hole playoff on the par-4 18th at The Club at Chatham Hills, Muñoz sank a birdie while the Legion XIII captain carded a par. A similar scene unfolded the week before in Chicago, where Rahm was edged out in a one-hole playoff by Dean Burmester, who birdied the par-4 18th at Bolingbrook Golf Club. 4 Jon Rahm, a two-time major champ, did not win any individual titles on the LIV Golf circuit in 2025. IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect Despite those crushing finishes, the Spaniard managed to eclipse points leader Joaquin Niemann (223.68) — the individual victor of five tournaments this season — to claim back-to-back Individual Championship titles with 226.16 points. 'He's played incredible golf, and one could argue he was probably the more deserving guy to win this, but we have the point system that we have, and somehow, I don't know how I managed to pull through and get it done, so extremely proud of that,' Rahm said. 4 Jon Rahm posed with the LIV Golf Individual Championship trophy on Aug. 17, 2025. Getty Images Niemann, who competes on Muñoz's Torque GC club, said the result was 'kind of hard to swallow.' 'But at the end of the day, I think it is what it is,' he said. 'I feel like it's going to put something inside me to kind of work harder and try to be in this situation again next year and make it different.' Rahm pocketed $20.25 million from Sunday's finale at Indianapolis, $2.25 million for his second-place finish and $18 million for the season championship, according to Golf Week. The former world No. 1 joined the PGA Tour's rival in December 2023 for a multiyear deal worth a reported $500 million.

Brad Pitt Expands His Real Estate Portfolio In Hollywood After Home Invasion
is making another big move in the property market, snapping up a $12 million Hollywood Hills mansion from The Killers guitarist Dave Keuning. The purchase comes just a month after he boosted security at his $5.5 million Los Feliz home, which was targeted in a break-in during a wave of upscale burglaries in Los Angeles. Brad Pitt's newest real estate addition marks a fresh chapter in his ever-growing Hollywood property portfolio. Brad Pitt Snags Hollywood Hills Mansion For Less Than Original Asking Price The Spanish-style estate sits in the Outpost Estates neighborhood and features sweeping views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean. Inside, the new home includes six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, giving him plenty of space in his latest high-profile purchase. Keuning and his wife, Emilie, had initially listed the home for $13.99 million in June, but Pitt was able to close the deal for less. The purchase was finalized on August 5. The Daily Mail pointed out that the purchase comes just two months after Pitt's $5.5 million Los Feliz home was burglarized. The actor has a history of buying and selling significant properties in the area, including the $33 million Los Feliz mansion he sold to Aileen Getty in 2023. Inside The 'F1' Star's New $12 Million Mansion Pitt's latest real estate purchase comes with all the high-end touches you would expect from a Hollywood Hills property. The 8,385-square-foot home, built in 1989, features a kitchen outfitted with modern appliances, marble countertops, and a matching backsplash. A large center island anchors the space, which flows directly into an open living room for easy entertaining. Upstairs, a spacious balcony overlooks the backyard, where an outdoor swimming pool takes center stage. The space also includes a built-in barbecue and kitchen area, along with a comfortable lounge setup for relaxing in the California sun. The home's front entrance is reached by a brick pathway, leading inside to wooden floors, arched ceilings, and a hallway that opens to the living room and fireplace. The Film Producer's New Mansion Follows Break-In At Los Feliz Home Pitt's latest property buy comes just months after his Los Feliz home was hit in a late-night burglary. The Blast reported that the 61-year-old's estate became one of several high-profile targets in a wave of upscale home invasions across Los Angeles earlier this summer. Law enforcement confirmed the break-in took place in the Los Feliz neighborhood, and sources close to the case identified the property as Pitt's. Police say three suspects scaled a front fence at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, and got inside through a front window. The intruders reportedly ransacked the home and took an undisclosed amount of miscellaneous items. The total loss and the value of what was stolen remain unclear. The Oscar Winner Steps Up 24/7 Security After Home Break-In The Hollywood icon is not taking any more chances after his Los Feliz home was broken into. The Blast noted that while the LAPD continues to investigate, the star has brought in round-the-clock guards to protect his property. A source revealed that Pitt's security used to be present only when he was home, but now guards are stationed there at all times. While the cost of nonstop protection can be steep, the insider quipped that the father of six has "enough cash" to cover it. The same person explained that the break-in was made easier by the home's minimal barriers. Locals had reportedly voiced concerns over the lack of a strong fence or hedge, making the property more accessible. Brad Pitt Mourns Mother's Death While Grappling With Painful Family Rift Pitt is facing a heartbreaking blow, seeing as his mother Jane, affectionately called "Grammy," reportedly died at 84 without seeing any of his six children for nearly a decade. Per The Blast, sources close to him say the separation was agonizing, with much of the blame directed at Angelina Jolie. One person disclosed that Jolie's decision to keep the children away from their grandparents was "gut-wrenching," adding, "It's one thing if she wants no contact, but what about the kids?" Friends say Pitt is devastated that his children missed out on years with their grandmother and now fears his father, Bill Pitt, could face the same isolation. "Hopefully, this is a wake-up call. Life is too short and too precious," an insider said. What will be Brad Pitt's next big move?

Brad Pitt's Burglarized L.A. Home Was Reportedly On The Market Before The Invasion
got the last laugh in his Los Angeles burglary drama! The Hollywood veteran made waves in June for joining the ever-growing list of celebrities whose L.A. homes have been robbed. While the incident could have negatively impacted the property's sale, it happened long after the actor placed the house on the market. Buying and selling properties is nothing new to Brad Pitt, who has an impressive million-dollar real estate portfolio. Unfortunately, his business success is overshadowed by his ongoing drama with his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, and his estranged children. Brad Pitt's 'Ransacked' Los Angeles Home Reportedly Has A New Owner According to new reports, Pitt placed his 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom Los Feliz property on the market before burglars broke into the home. The incident did not stop the property's sale as real estate sources claimed the house was in the process of getting a new owner. Pitt's L.A. home was reportedly in escrow in an off-market deal. Sources told TMZ the property received a wave of interest once news got out about the sale, presumably thanks to the actor's fame and the home's history. The property, nicknamed "The Steel House," was built in 1960 and became the home of famous stars like James Valentine of Maroon 5. The guitarist sold the house to the American heiress and activist Aileen Getty in 2019, who sold it to Pitt in 2023 for $5.5 million. The 'F1' Star Bought A New Home In Hollywood Hills News of Pitt's Los Feliz property follows his most recent real estate purchase. The Blast covered the story, reporting the Hollywood veteran had bought Dave Keuning's Hollywood Hills mansion. He bought The Killers guitarist's home for $12 million, almost $2 million less than the original $13.99 asking price. The purchase was reportedly finalized on August 5, two months after Keuning listed the property for sale. Pitt's new home featured six bedrooms and eight bathrooms alongside a picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles. It had several luxuries, including a massive pool area with a built-in barbecue, kitchen, a lounge, and more. More About The Entertainer's June Robbery Pitt increased his real estate portfolio two months after sources confirmed he had joined the list of celebrity burglary victims. Reports revealed three suspects scaled the front fence of his Los Feliz property at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. The burglars accessed the home through a front window, ransacking the place and making off with an undisclosed amount of miscellaneous items. The incident motivated Pitt to care better for his security, and he reportedly brought in round-the-clock guards. A source explained that the security guards were commonly present when Pitt was around, but the burglary proved they were needed more in his absence. They added that the home was easily robbed because it lacked minimal barriers and a strong fence. Inside The TV Personality's Real Estate Portfolio Pitt has garnered numerous properties in his name worth millions of dollars, with some located outside the U.S. Robb Report shared his impressive portfolio, revealing the actor had a stunning oceanfront estate in Goleta, just outside Santa Barbara. He reportedly purchased the home in 2000 for $4 million shortly after his marriage to Jennifer Aniston and has held on to the property for over two decades. Another of his most famous real estate purchases occurred in 2022 when he bought the D.L. James House in Carmel Highlands for $40 million. However, Pitt's most famous and controversial purchase is the Château Miraval, a 1,200-acre estate and winery in Correns, France. He and his former partner Jolie have been butting heads over the winery, leading to a tumultuous relationship between them and Pitt's estrangement from their children. Brad Pitt May Face His Ex-Wife's Wrath Through A Tell-All Memoir The drama between Pitt and Jolie might become the next best-selling book, as sources noted that "The Eternals" actress might release a tell-all memoir. The Blast reported that sources claimed "If Brad continues to push her, she may change course and spill everything." Other insiders echoed similar sentiments, noting the more Jolie spent on legal fees, the more she contemplated releasing a book. A source claimed a memoir would significantly damage Pitt's career after he barely managed to rebuild his image following his tumultuous divorce. They warned that if Jolie made good on her threats, Pitt might fail to win the public's forgiveness. The former couple's issues skyrocketed over their French winery after Jolie sold her shares to a third party without Pitt's approval. Will Brad Pitt be able to keep burglars away from his new home?
