Morocco's Far-reaching Transformations, Fruit of Visionary Royal Leadership
In an interview with MAP-Brasilia on the occasion of the celebration of the glorious Throne Day, Doria highlighted the Kingdom's growing industrialization and the completion of world-class infrastructure, enshrining its status as a "reference" for foreign investors, such as the Tanger-Med port, "one of the most important on the continent", and the "Al Boraq" high-speed line, "the first of its kind in Africa".
The businessman also highlighted Morocco's breakthrough in the field of clean energy, saying that the Noor solar complex had enabled the Kingdom to stand out as a "global model of energy transition".
He also praised Morocco's "exemplary leadership" in the field of seawater desalination and the efficient and rational use of water resources, praising the progress achieved in food security, as the Kingdom has worked to modernize its agriculture to make it more resilient.
'Morocco, under the impetus of His Majesty the King, is facing global challenges with structured policies and sustained investments', he said.
For João Doria, these achievements reflect 'Morocco's commitment to resilient development in line with the SDGs', thanks to the decisive role played by His Majesty the King in guaranteeing this 'long-term vision'.
He further stated that Morocco is today 'a concrete model' of the success of well-managed reforms based on planning, dialogue and a forward-looking vision.
In this sense, Doria felt that his country could draw inspiration from many aspects of the Moroccan model, such as industrial, educational and environmental policies, the strengthening of logistics infrastructure, the promotion of research and innovation, and the enhancement of cultural heritage. These are all aspects which, in his opinion, 'resonate strongly with the internal challenges facing Brazil'.
'For countries of the Global South, the Moroccan model is inspiring: development does not necessarily equate with disconnect, but can be achieved through renewal based on identity, stability and ambition', he mused.
Referring to Morocco's unique position in the new geopolitical and economic dynamics, João Doria highlighted its 'privileged geostrategic location', recalling that the Kingdom plays an 'essential role as a link between continents' and promotes 'active diplomacy' focused on strengthening South-South cooperation.
He cited the Royal Atlantic Initiative as 'a concrete example of this integration ambition', which could strengthen economic, cultural and logistical ties with Latin American countries.

The Spanish outlet reports that Morocco has deployed an unprecedented array of ground and maritime resources along its northern coastline, focusing on intercepting makeshift boats and preventing migrants—many of them unaccompanied minors—from reaching the Spanish enclave. This enhanced cooperation comes amid growing pressure on Ceuta's borders. Over the weekend, despite the tightened security measures, several migrants attempted to cross. Three youths reportedly reached Spanish territory briefly before being apprehended and swiftly returned to Morocco. Spanish Civil Guard sources cited by El Mundo highlighted the effectiveness of coordination with Morocco's Royal Gendarmerie, particularly at the maritime border near the Tarajal crossing point—Ceuta's primary entry zone.
