Burger King fans rejoice after fast food chain announces the return of beloved summer menu item
The burger chain's fan-favorite drink is returning to participating locations nationwide on Monday, July 14, due to popular demand.
The icy blue drink made its debut last year and instantly became 'the most popular frozen beverage' on the menu in years.
Burger King's announcement on Instagram was flooded with comments from eager fans who are glad the drink is 'finally' coming back.
'OMG!!! Finally!!! Dreams do come true!!,' an Instagram user wrote, adding they hope it will cost $1.99.
'They need to make these permanent they're the best drink burger king ever had,' an Instagrammer wrote on a post created by Snackolator.
With approximately 19,000 restaurants worldwide, the drink's return is one of many offers restaurant chains are competing against in the 2025 summer fast food war.
Prices for small, medium and large sized Clouds start at $1.49, $1.79 and $2.29, with the option to added a cold foam cloud topping for an additional 70 to 80 cents.
Frozen Cotton Candy Cloud beverages debuted at Burger King in April 2024
The cotton candy-flavored treat is not the only offering dropping at participating Burger King restaurants next week.
The restaurant chain is also bringing back its classic iced coffee and debuting its all-new Mango Peach Lemonade.
Fans can also enjoy Burger King's new BBQ Brisket Whopper, the offering to kick off its new 'Whopper by You' platform.
The platform is designed for fans looking to dream up and submit ideas for Whopper creations.
'As the brand known for "Have It Your Way," we want to continue letting our Guests tell us what they want – and when it comes to our iconic Whopper sandwich, they have a lot of ideas,' said Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King US&C.
The platform could potentially lure in fans who aren't afraid to get in touch and express their creative sides.
Burger King also threw shots at McDonald's earlier this year after the chain announced it would extend operating hours at restaurants.
It comes as the chain has been fighting to boost dwindling sales.
Burger King has suffered financial difficulties since 2008 and mass closures
Burger King's fall began in the 2000s, as franchisees started closing underperforming restaurants.
Sales declined after the recession in 2008, and its profits have yet to return to its prime.
Franchisee TOMS King filed for bankruptcy in January 2023 and received bids from companies wanting to purchase 82 of 90 restaurants.
Meridian Restaurants Unlimited quietly closed and sold 70 Burger Kings after filing for bankruptcy protection two months after TOMS King.
This year appears to be no different for Burger King, which suffered a 1.3 percent sales decline in this year's first quarter.
Its financial difficulties also come while facing a lawsuit alleging its ads exaggerated the size of Whoppers.
McDonald's, a prime competitor and the world's largest fast food chain, has also been struggling for many quarters, including a 3.6 percent sales dive in the first quarter of this year.

Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field were celebrating a special occasion this week, which prompted the former Take That member to lead a singalong with the crowd at a gig Robbie Williams recorded a special video message for Ayda Field at a concert in Sweden earlier this week. She later branded him a "romantic t***" when responding to the gesture that had involved the audience. Robbie, 51, and his wife Ayda, 46, celebrated their wedding anniversary yesterday after having tied the knot in 2010. The singer-songwriter however is away on his Britpop tour at the moment so he spent the evening at a gig in Stockholm. The former Take That member performed for fans at Stockholm Olympic Stadium last night. During the concert, he recorded a something for Ayda, who didn't appear to be with him, and got the crowd to help with his message. Ayda, who has four children with Robbie, shared the video on Instagram yesterday. It shows her husband, wearing a co-ordinated red outfit, leading the crowd as they sing an anniversary version of 'happy birthday' at the stadium. Led by Robbie on stage, the audience are heard singing: "Happy anniversary to Ayda, happy anniversary to Ayda, happy anniversary dear Ayda, happy anniversary to you." The crowd cheered at the end of it as Robbie added: "Yeah!" Former X Factor judge Ayda teased over the footage when she shared it on her Instagram Story last night. Tagging Robbie in her post, alongside a series of heart emojis, she wrote in the caption: "Awe. You romantic t*** :)." Robbie had paid tribute to Ayda, who didn't seem to be on stage at the time, before serenading her for the video message. Footage shared by a fan on social media showed him speaking about having been married to her for 15 years. He told the audience at the stadium: "It is my wedding anniversary. 15 years of wedded bliss everybody and I love my wife very, very, very much." Addressing Ayda, he said: "I would like to continue to be married to you, if that's okay?" Ayda marked the special occasion with a post on Instagram yesterday, which was also shared by Robbie. It featured numerous photos of the couple, taken over the years, and she paid tribute in the caption that accompanied them. She wrote: "15 photos for 15 years of love, laughter and just the right amount of madness … I DO. Forever and a day … I will walk over that bridge with you HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BOO #ilovemylife #mrandmrs #forever AWxx." Following the concert, Robbie wrote in a message to fans that he shared this morning: "All the love in Stockholm last night ... Until we meet again Sweden." He signed off the post as 'Rob' and included a red heart emoji in the caption. He launched his Britpop tour at Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland back in May, before heading to venues in locations such as the Netherlands, Italy and Spain. He's due to next perform in Germany on Sunday as part of the tour, which is scheduled to conclude with a concert in Turkey in October.

'Chimp Crazy' star sentenced to nearly 4 years in prison for lying that primate had died
A Missouri woman who starred in the HBO documentary series 'Chimp Crazy' has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison after she lied that a movie star primate that she was accused of mistreating had died. Tonia Haddix, 56, was also ordered Thursday to serve three years of supervised release after her 46-month prison sentence ends. Haddix, who ran a primate facility the St. Louis suburb of Festus, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of perjury and one of obstructing justice. It all started nearly a decade ago, when the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sued, saying she was keeping several chimps in 'confined in cramped, virtually barren enclosures' at the now-defunct Missouri Primate Foundation facility. Among the chimps was Tonka, who appeared in the 1997 movies 'Buddy' and 'George of the Jungle.' Actor Alan Cumming, the British-born actor who starred in the movie 'Buddy' alongside Tonka, also begged for the primate to be moved. Haddix signed a consent decree in 2020 agreeing to send four of the chimps to a Florida sanctuary. The order allowed her to keep three others, including Tonka, at a facility she was to build. But after a judge found that was not complying with the agreement, authorities arrived in 2021 and removed the remaining chimps, except for Tonka. Haddix claimed Tonka had died and that she had cremated the remains, according to court records. 'I wanted to keep trying to save Tonka if l could. But then he just died on his own, so there was no saving him,' she said, according to court records. But Tonka was alive. In 2022, PETA removed him from a cage in the basement of her home in Sunrise Beach, Missouri, near the Lake of the Ozarks. Haddix told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 2022 that she lied to protect Tonka from 'the evil clutches of PETA.' She also admitted what happened in the third episode of 'Chimp Crazy,' which premiered last year, saying, 'Tonka was literally on the run with me.' Just last month, investigators found another chimp locked up in the basement of her home in Sunrise Beach in violation of court orders, documents in the case said. She was arrested, and her bond revoked. 'Defendant has shown no remorse for her criminal conduct, and has continued to challenge and defy this Court's authority, and she should face a significant punishment as a result,' prosecutors wrote. Her lawyer, Justin Gelfand, asked for mercy in court filings, saying she suffered abuse as a child and then endured several rocky marriages as an adult. 'This life taught her a clear lesson: humans are unpredictable and are not frequently safe or trustworthy," Gelfand wrote. "In the face of these harsh realities threaded throughout her life, Haddix came to form secure attachments with animals.' PETA praised the sentence in a news release, saying that Haddix now 'can't hurt another chimpanzee.'

Hulk Hogan's daughter posts humiliating U-turn after sharing shock conspiracy theories about wrestling icon's death
Hulk Hogan 's estranged daughter Brooke has made a dramatic U-turn over her 'foul play' claims - after sharing conspiracy theories about the WWE icon's death. Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, died on July 24 from a cardiac arrest, according to a Florida medical examiner's office. The 71-year-old previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, the report from the District Six Medical Examiner also said. However, despite his previous health issues, Hogan's daughter Brooke took to social media in the days that followed to seemingly accuse the authorities of foul play. She shared an article by Hogan's friend Bubba the Love Sponge, which read: 'Quick cremation without autopsy raises questions about Hulk Hogan's death.' In response, Hogan's ex-wife Sky Daily hit back at her estranged stepchild's claims - and now Brooke has taken to social media to backtrack from them herself. Brooke then backtracked from her previous claims amid hopes of an autopsy on her late father She wrote: 'Everyone stop trying to say Sky 'shaded me'. I don't feel like she did at all. I thought post was respectful and classy and I have said in EVERY interview that she was always nice to me. 'Me and her don't have beef as far as I know. I was told he was cremated without an autopsy which of course freaked me out - but he has not been cremated and she's doing the research. 'I don't think anyone thinks theres foul play suspected but the man had a very complicated medical history. 'Hearing what was coming out was shocking to me, given that I've seen MULTIPLE near-perfect blood panels of my father's and then all of a sudden everything's different? Anyone would want answers. And she's doing just that. Stop twisting stuff, people'. In the wake of Brooke's wild claims, Daily had spoken out about the conspiracy theories and urged those outside of the family not to take them seriously. Referring to 'misleading media stories created by faceless AI accounts' and 'people not close enough to truly know what was happening,' Daily urged followers to be 'patient' as news continues to trickle out about Hogan's fatal heart attack. However, Brooke did reveal that Hogan's body is yet to be cremated and credited Daily with the delay - amid hopes of a potential autopsy on the WWE icon. 'I'm glad to see that my dad has not been cremated and that Sky is waiting because of family questions,' Brooke wrote on her Instagram story Thursday morning. 'With all of the speculation and uncertainty of my dad's death, I want to personally offer to pay for an autopsy if that's what it takes to get it done. My dad's dignity and legacy deserves it.' However, according to TMZ, officials have been given no indication that Daily is seeking an autopsy report at this moment in time. Earlier this week, Brooke shared an article by radio personality and Hogan friend Bubba the Love Sponge, which read: 'Quick cremation without autopsy raises questions about Hulk Hogan's death.' Brooke added a caption: 'Exactly.' The Clearwater Police Department attempted to squash any outlandish theory about Hogan's death as they said: 'As previously stated, there are no signs of foul play or anything suspicious about the death'. Hogan was pronounced dead at a hospital less than 90 minutes after medics arrived at his home in Clearwater to answer a call about a cardiac arrest on the morning of July 24, police said. The report said the cause of death was 'natural.' Bubba's allegations include that Hogan's body has already been cremated, somebody could have injected something into the wrestler's dialysis port while he slept to induce a heart attack and questions around why an autopsy wasn't carried out. Bubba, whose real name is Todd Clem, did not offer facts to substantiate his stunning claims, which stem from a report in the Tampa Bay Times from July 31 that says Hogan was 'doing therapy' when he collapsed at his home in Clearwater Beach on July 24. The report says paramedics told staff at Morton Plant Hospital that Hogan had just returned home from surgery and was 'currently waiting to start dialysis'. Clem claims nobody knew the wrestling icon was due to begin dialysis. In a bid to revive him, medics reportedly gave Hogan drugs that can treat excessive levels of potassium, a sign of kidney failure. These can lead to cardiac arrest. Hogan was also given two milligrams of Narcan, the drug that can quickly reverse opioid overdoses. There is no indication that Hogan had overdosed. However, The Tampa Bay Times also revealed the Pinellas County Medical Examiner did not perform an autopsy on Hogan because his death was not deemed to be suspicious. According to his death certificate, Hogan is going to be cremated at the Bay Area Crematory in Clearwater. A specific date for that has not yet been announced. Yet, it appears his widow has now halted plans to move forward with the cremation in order to allow Brooke to have an autopsy conducted amid the speculation shrouding Hogan's passing.
