Body found in Georgian Bay identified

West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) got a call that someone discovered personal property near Georgian Bay close to Parry Sound.
The OPP's marine unit began investigating the nearby waters on Friday at around 8 a.m., but it wasn't until the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit began their search that they located a body in Georgian Bay.
Police say the deceased person has been identified as a 27-year-old from Etobicoke.
The Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario - Ontario Forensic pathology Service (OCCO-OFPS) is assisting, and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later time.
