Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) has never felt more optimistic about his relationship with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street. After a rocky road to love, things finally seem to be falling into place.
Beaming with pride, Todd confides in Billy Mathew (Daniel Brocklebank) that Theo is not only at ease with his sexuality but is even suggesting they take the next step and move in together. Todd is ecstatic and feels like he's about to get the happy ending he's been hoping for with Theo.
But the dream begins to unravel when Billy overhears Theo chatting to an old work colleague and claiming he's got a new woman in his life. Alarm bells ringing, Billy wastes no time confronting him.
Theo insists it's nothing, just a white lie told to avoid judgment from an irrelevant ex-colleague. He assures Billy that his relationship with Todd is genuine and that his old friend isn't worth sharing his truth with.
Later that evening, Todd and Theo are enjoying a rare peaceful moment over dinner at the bistro when an unexpected figure appears: Noah, a man from Theo's past. Noah approaches with a disturbingly familiar tone, handing Theo a leaflet and urging him to attend a religious meeting the next day in an effort to 'save his soul.' The mood instantly shifts. Todd, stunned and suspicious, watches as Theo politely but firmly declines.
The encounter sends Todd spiralling. Fearing Theo is being dragged back into the same toxic, oppressive environment he once escaped, Todd is crippled with anxiety. Theo insists he's fine and brushes it off, but Todd can't let it go.
When Theo heads to the community centre the next day, Todd takes a look at the leaflet – and is horrified. It's promoting a so-called 'faith healing' session, but Todd is well aware it's a guise for dangerous conversion therapy practices. Todd and Billy rush to the centre in search of Theo. What they find chills them to the core: Noah is in full flow, practising conversion therapy on a vulnerable young member of his congregation. More Trending
Then Noah drops a bombshell: Theo is 'somewhere safe.' Todd's panic and fury collide, and in a moment of raw emotion, he lashes out, knocking Noah to the ground. What Todd doesn't realise is that one of the attendees has filmed the altercation on their phone…
Back at No.11, the consequences catch up fast. A police officer arrives and informs Todd that he must come in for questioning and that Noah has officially reported him for assault.
Reeling from the situation, Todd is surprised when Theo tries to lighten the mood with a thoughtful gesture as he's planned a romantic movie night at home to cheer him up. Theo apologises for everything that's happened and reassures Todd that he's committed to him and their future. He even brings up the idea of finding a place together again, which fills Todd with comfort.

But with legal trouble looming and Theo's past threatening to destabilise their relationship, Todd is left wondering: can their love survive the pressure? Or has the return of old demons set the stage for heartbreak once again?

'Brutal' film based on harrowing true story finally comes to Netflix

A movie about a real-life wrestling family that left its star Zac Efron 'messed up' is about to be released on Netflix. First hitting screens in 2023, The Iron Claw told the story of the Von Erichs, a family of professional wrestlers who were 'cursed' by tragedy. Despite the sons of wrestling company owner Fritz Von Erich achieving great success', the family also faced many struggles. The synopsis for the film teased this of its plot: 'The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.' Mindhunter star Holt McCallany played the family's patriarch, while Zac Efron played Kevin Von Erich, Jeremy Allen White was Kerry Von Erich, Harris Dickinson was David Von Erich, and Stanley Simons played the youngest son, Mike Von Erich. Produced on a $15.9million (£11.9million) budget, the film ended up grossing over $45million (£33.7million). 'Zac Efron really gives it his all in this heartbreaking wrestling film about the Von Erich family. The biopic details the complexity of the family,' Screen Rant wrote in its review. 'As a wrenching American heartland saga, The Iron Claw is certainly compelling, and to anyone unfamiliar with the Von Erichs' history, each jolt of fresh anguish delivered to the family will be startling,' The Hollywood Reporter shared. 'It's a messy movie about messy lives, occasionally in ways you wish it wasn't. But The Iron Claw is also a story of redemption… That's partially why Efron's performance is the one that sticks with you,' Rolling Stone added. Meanwhile, viewers called it a 'deeply emotional story about brotherhood and loss', adding you didn't need to be a wrestling fan to enjoy the movie. For fans of the movie – or those yet to have watched – it will soon be added to Netflix, with subscribers able to tune in from August 9. Some may remember photos of the staggering transformation Efron, who found fame as a teenager starring in High School Musical, undertook for this project. He faced a gruelling diet and training schedule, gaining around 15lbs in pure muscle. Speaking to Metro at the time, Durkin was asked whether he felt guilt over, or sympathy for, what his actors were doing to get up to shape. 'I didn't, because I respected what they did but I also left it to them, to go on their own journeys for whatever they wanted to do physically to get into the shape they felt was right for the character,' he said. 'We never talked about getting to a certain size or anything like that, I didn't want to put any sort of framework on [what] they should be hitting – so, they did the work they wanted to do, and obviously, signing up for a role like this, that's a part of it. 'But I appreciated every second of it, and I saw the effort and the hard work, we're all working to get to the same place and the same page.' Efron later revealed he needed to undergo stem cell therapy to treat a back injury he sustained while filming The Iron Claw. Posting about the treatment on Instagram, he shared: 'I fully commit to my roles, which I love.' However, he went on to explain that even after months of physical therapy, his back was still 'messed up' and he had to seek other treatments, which he explained had made a noticeable difference. Hailing from Texas, the family's actual surname was Adkisson, but every member who worked in wrestling took on the ring name Von Erich. Since Fritz made his debut in 1953, 10 members of the family have been professional wrestlers. Between 1952 and 1969, Fritz and his wife Doris had six sons. By the time he died of cancer aged 68 in 1997, five of his sons had predeceased him. The couple's first son – Jack Jr. – died in a freak accident when he was just six years old in 1959. More Trending In subsequent years, David died from enteritis in 1984 at age 25, and Mike, Chris, and Kerry all died by suicide, respectively in 1987 at age 23, 1991 at age 21, and 1993 at age 33. Kevin, Fritz, and Doris' only surviving son retired from wrestling in 1995. Doris died in 2015, with the cause of death never being publicly revealed. Myleene Klass caught ex-husband cheating on her with a celebrity

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Myleene Klass has revealed that she once caught her husband, former Hear'Say bodyguard Graham Quinn, about to have sex with a celebrity on her birthday. The presenter, 47, was reflecting on her past in an emotional podcast that saw her open up about her previous marriage. The star was married for two years to her Irish bodyguard from her band Hear'Say, initially meeting in 2001, marrying in 2011, and divorcing two years later in 2013. Speaking about their relationship, she revealed that she caught him about to sleep with a 'famous person' while in her own home for her birthday. 'I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony,' she told Paul Brunson on the We Need To Talk podcast. She said that the pair were taking off each other's clothes and immediately tried to claim that it wasn't what it looked like: 'I'm in my house, it's my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. ''It's not what you think'. But I'm like, 'It is what I think.' It's the first thing they both said. When asked how she reacted, she said: 'I kicked everyone out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland and his dad said: 'He doesn't get it from me'. 'I was like 'Ok'. I remember thinking that was quite a weird thing to say.' She said that he later blamed the 'drink'. 'I've made peace with that situation now but for a long time it was very difficult to see their life… Not that I would wish that on a family,' she said. 'I don't know, I feel conflicted. 'But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. 'And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with,' she said without giving any details about the person she caught him with. She said that despite the cheating, she still went through with the wedding. The star admitted that she cried throughout the whole day because she was just devastated. In May 2024, she said on Loose Women that she nearly jilted her ex-husband on her wedding day: 'I was in the bath the night before I got married – which most of us know, didn't end well, in fact [it went] so badly that the priest even offered to annul the wedding. It was that quick!' she said. 'I was in the bath and I was just sobbing because something didn't feel right, I just knew it wasn't right. And my girlfriend, now my girlfriend of 18 years, at the time she just said, 'The car is outside.' Like Thelma and Louise, we could just go.' 'At the time I didn't feel I could go, I had two children, and I had this wedding, you know, we had the cathedral and we had the priest and it was just everything was there.' The pair were granted a quickie divorce in a hearing that allegedly lasted just 100 seconds. She added for 12 years she has raised her children as a single parent, emotionally and financially. Myleene's ex-husband is Graham Quinn, who she met in 2001 when she was still performing in the band Hear'Say. More Trending Graham was a bodyguard for the band and Myleene said that she met him at a 'vulnerable' time in her life and felt he was a 'protector'. On 21 October 2011, Klass and Quinn married, with sixteen people in attendance. Four and a half years since her divorce, the star met Simon Motson, who was introduced to her through a friend. The couple shares a son named Apollo, born in 2019. Got a story?
