Linkin Park Won't Perform ‘One More Light' Live, ‘Too Sad to Play' After Chester Bennington's Death
The title track of the band's final album with late lead singer Chester Bennington is off the setlist for their current tour.
Linkin Park won't perform One More Light live because it's 'too sad to play".
The title track of the band's final album with late lead singer Chester Bennington – who took his own life in 2017 – is off the setlist for their current tour as it brings up too many memories of Chester.
The band's co-founder Mike Shinoda explained to The Guardian newspaper: '[It was originally written] for a woman at the label that we worked with who passed away. Then after Chester passed, the world decided that it was about him. And so that's just too sad to play."
After Chester's death, Mike took time out from Linkin Park and tried to process his grief through writing the solo album Post Traumatic.
He explained he 'wanted to make Post Traumatic as a diary of how I felt for myself", [but also had the urge to play live] 'to provide an area for fans to commune and go: 'Oh, Mike is still here. We didn't lose everybody.'"
While Mike found the tour helpful, 'in the beginning", he could not wait to end it as it started to get 'exhausting", trying to deal with the grief of the fans.
He said: 'And then towards the end it was exhausting. I had started to … I don't want to say move on. 'Move on' to some people means not looking back and forgetting – that's completely not how I felt. I felt like I was coping well and I was able to get up in the morning and not think about it, and I was evolving from the terrible stuff that had happened. Then I would go to the show and spend 90 minutes with half the crowd crying. And I'm like, this is f****** exhausting. You know how therapists see patients all day and help them, but then they need therapy themselves? That's how I felt."

Kerala Cemetery Uses QR Code To Share Life Of The Departed: ‘Who Would Come To Scan?'
While many liked the idea of having a QR code on a tombstone, others shared their views on the downside of making personal information publicly accessible. Who doesn't wish to keep the memories of their loved ones alive forever? Frankly, we all do. Turning this into a reality, someone in Kerala came up with a thoughtful and unique way to do that. They added a metal QR code to the tombstone of their loved one, which would allow visitors to learn more about the life, memories and legacy of the person resting there peacefully. A page on Instagram shared a video showing a person scanning one of the QR codes at the cemetery. 'I saw something at the cemetery today… and I couldn't believe it", read the text over it. As the video panned, the person scanned the code, and immediately, a website popped up. The individual clicked on it and was directed to a page that not only provided basic information about the person, such as their name, date of birth, place of origin and a picture, but also included details about their profession and family. QR Code At The Tombstone Gave A Look At The Person's Legacy As the clip played further, the man glanced at the website, which included tabs such as bio, memories and a timeline of the person. 'His memory. His family. His legacy. Right there on my phone," read the text atop it. The website features some pictures of the man with his near and dear ones. This was not it. When the person scrolled further, they saw that the information of his spouse, children, grandchildren and even in-laws was provided on the website. Moreover, one can also learn about recent visitors, as there is a section where individuals visiting the tombstone leave their names. 'This isn't just a grave. It's a story that lives on," the text read towards the end of the video. Internet Is Divided Over The Idea Of Having A QR Code On Tombstones After the video was released, several users took to the comment section to express their varied views on the idea of having a QR code on a tombstone. While many like the idea, others expressed privacy concerns. 'I don't know about others…. But I need one such tombstone," said one user. Another added, 'Lovely concept." Someone pointed out the downside of this, writing, 'Already a privacy concern, while you are doing it, they are sharing the photos with the public, and it can be used in very bad ways with AI nowadays." Someone else said, 'But who would come to the graveyard to scan?" The clip has gone viral and has already been viewed over 1.6 million times. Mahesh Bhatt Says Parveen Babi Should Have Quit Films After 'Spiralling Into Madness'
Last Updated: According to reports, Mahesh and Parveen dated for nearly three years. Mahesh Bhatt has often spoken about his relationship with the late actress Parveen Babi. Parveen Babi was battling undiagnosed mental disorders in the 1970s. Mahesh Bhatt dated Parveen while he was already married to Kiran Bhatt. In a recent chat, the filmmaker opened up about the actress's 'spiral into madness'. During an appearance on The Himanshu Mehta Show, he said, 'Prior to coming to this interview, I was writing about her final spiralling into what is called madness. All attempts were made to make her see that once she had that kind of breakdown, there's no way she should try and fit herself back into this fiercely competitive space." He added, 'She should have withdrawn, as she had a physiological vulnerability. But I think once you have tasted this business, the high of the arc lights, it's very difficult to turn your back on it. But what happened to her was an unimaginable tragedy." Mahesh also recalled Parveen's words: 'Darr lagta hai (I feel scared)." He said, 'Behind closed doors, she was a simple woman from Junagadh, Gujarat, who wanted to put oil in her head and cook food at home. But the clothes she used to wear were very glamorous, so that she looked like a superstar. But on the inside, she was a simple girl." Previously, in a chat with BBC Hindi, Mahesh said, 'I saw her go through her collapse. I went through it with her. And when you see someone breaking down in front of you… I saw her leave in the morning for her shoot with her make-up on, but when I came back in the evening, she was shivering and sitting in a corner like an animal. She kept saying, 'Someone is going to kill me.' She was suffering from schizophrenia." The filmmaker said that the relationship ended on a painful note. He mentioned that while he tried to help Parveen, 'such kind of diseases take a toll". The filmmaker said that Parveen was nearly 26 years old when they started dating, and her condition was already severe. However, the actress started feeling better after meeting UG Krishnamurti, who told Mahesh, 'He told me that it is impossible for you to stay together because you will never leave movies and if she keeps doing movies, she will be destroyed." Mahesh and Parveen dated for nearly three years. Parveen Babi passed away on 20 January 2005, at 55. She died in her apartment in Mumbai. An autopsy stated that she died from organ failure and diabetes. DISCLAIMER: This news piece may be triggering.
