2 arrested in spring shooting that left 23-year-old dead in Etobicoke: police

Two teenagers have been arrested in a fatal shooting that left one person dead in Etobicoke in March, Toronto police say. Around 9 p.m. on March 26, police responded to a call about a shooting in the Martin Grove and Albion roads area, police said. When officers arrived, they found a man with injuries. The man, later identified by police as 23-year-old Awais Ismail Awais, was pronounced dead at the scene. In a news release Wednesday, police said they had arrested two people this week in connection with the shooting. The two accused, aged 18 and 19, have both been charged with one count of first-degree murder. They were scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing Wednesday morning, police said.
