Inside Hrithik Roshan's Diet: Protein-Packed Meals, Comfort Foods And Mindful Cheat Days

News182 days ago
Hrithik Roshan's chef Shubham Vishwakkarma reveals the actor's natural protein sources, balanced meals, comfort foods, cheat-day indulgences that fuel his ripped physique in War 2.
Hrithik Roshan's chiseled look in War 2 wasn't the result of a quick transformation. Behind the superstar's ripped physique lies years of discipline, a rigorous workout routine, and a carefully designed diet plan. His personal chef, Shubham Vishwakkarma, who has been working with Hrithik since 2022 alongside trainer Swapneel Hazare, reveals to Health Shots what really goes on in the actor's daily meals from his favorite protein sources to his cheat meals and comfort food.
Unlike many Bollywood celebrities who swear by intermittent fasting or OMAD (One Meal A Day), Hrithik follows a structured eating pattern.
'He eats every 2.5 to 3 hours and wraps up dinner by 9 p.m.. After that, he fasts until morning," says Shubham. This approach ensures his body gets steady fuel for muscle recovery and energy without overloading the system.
A Day on Hrithik's Plate
At 51, muscle gain and recovery require a strategic balance of macronutrients. According to Shubham, Hrithik's meals always include protein, carbs, fiber, and healthy fats.
Some staples on his plate include:
Proteins: Eggs, chicken, white fish, Greek yogurt, lentils, rajma, chickpeas
Carbs & Fiber: Oats, quinoa, jowar
Healthy Fats: Nuts and seeds, which the chef calls non-negotiable
'His diet is tailored to support lean muscle growth while keeping his energy levels high," Shubham adds.
Cheat Meals with a Twist
Even the fittest celebrities indulge and Hrithik is no exception. His go-to cheat meals strike a balance between indulgence and mindfulness.
'Tandoori chicken, BBQ chicken, a no-carb burger, or a jowar-based pizza, these are the kind of foods he enjoys. They satisfy his cravings but don't undo his progress," says the chef.
Despite the perception that stars stick to fancy diets, Hrithik's comfort food is surprisingly simple and homely.
'Moong dal, bhindi bhaji, jowar roti, and a bowl of dahi that's what sir loves most. But when it comes to indulgence, BBQ chicken or pizza always win," reveals Shubham.
A Healthy Sweet Tooth
And yes, Hrithik does have a dessert he swears by: a protein-rich brownie, which doubles up as a guilt-free snack.
Foods He Avoids
There are also clear no-go items on his diet chart. Hrithik stays away from:
Refined sugar
Seed oils
Gluten
Mushrooms ('He simply doesn't like them," laughs Shubham)
The Takeaway
Behind Hrithik Roshan's enviable physique is a diet that's consistent, balanced, and realistic. It's not about extremes but about eating the right food at the right time and enjoying comfort meals in moderation.

Kriti Sanon opens up about dealing with social media hate and trolling: ‘It's just people venting their bhadaas'

Kriti Sanon has talked openly about navigating social media in a time when people constantly monitor celebrities. The actor acknowledged that she chooses not to give too many comments, whether favorable or unfavorable. Kriti acknowledged that she has learned not to take the flurry of comments seriously when discussing how she handles them. 'I don't pay heed to comments or what people are saying because I feel like someone's taking their own life's 'bhadaas' on someone else. So I don't really take it seriously" she told News18, adding that trolling is more an expression of the critic than the target. She laughed and explained why she doesn't participate in anonymous comments. 'I feel that if I don't know you, am I really gonna respond to what you say? If you say something nicely to me, no. So no, I feel like with social media, I try using it for the good part of it, which is like, I like connecting with my fans. And I like connecting with people beyond just films. I also feel like filmein ek saal mein do aati hai, matlab shayad hi 3 aajaye. Kabhi kabhi ek bhi nahi hoti ek saal mein. So it's nice to have a constant connection with your fans through social media platforms. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Many Malaysians don't know about this! iOS Credit Read More Undo But other than that, I feel like no one's really gonna remember you for your social media," she explained. 'So no, I feel like social media—I try using it for the good part of it, which is like I like connecting with my fans… But other than that, I feel like no one's really gonna remember you for your social media," she said. US Second Lady Usha Vance Reveals Her Favourite Colour And Netizens Love Her Answer

Second Lady Usha Vance shared her love for red with schoolchildren. Second Lady Usha Vance drew smiles during a school visit this week when a student asked her a simple but thoughtful question: 'What is your favourite colour?" In a video clip shared by Fox News, Vance paused, smiled, and said, 'That is an excellent question." She then pointed to her outfit and explained why red is one of her favourites. 'You might notice I am wearing a red dress today," Vance told the students. 'That is because it is one of my favourite colours and also my three-year-old's favourite colour. She actually made me change this morning into this outfit so that we could match." 'EXCELLENT QUESTION!': Second lady Usha Vance tells a group of students why red is one of her favorite colors — and how she's not the only one in her family who loves red. — Fox News (@FoxNews) August 21, 2025 Vance added that the choice seemed even more fitting when she noticed that the schoolchildren were also wearing red. 'It's a good choice," she said, 'because all of you are wearing red too, and now we are all in school colours." The event, part of Vance's outreach as second lady, offered a glimpse of her personal side. Alongside her husband, US Vice President JD Vance, she has been making public appearances since the new administration took office. She went on to earn a degree in history from Yale University before studying at Cambridge as a Gates Scholar, completing an MPhil in early modern history. In 2010, while pursuing her law degree at Yale, she met J.D. Vance during a student discussion group on 'social decline in white America." That exchange would later shape parts of her husband's bestselling 2016 memoir Hillbilly Elegy, a book on his childhood in the white working-class communities of the Rust Belt, which was adapted into a 2020 film directed by Ron Howard. view comments First Published: August 21, 2025, 23:42 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. War 2 Extended Week 1 India Box Office: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani starrer grosses dismal Rs 231 crore gross in 8 days

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani among others, ended its extended week 1, dropping again. The movie has roughly added Rs 5 crore gross more at the India box office, to end with collections of Rs 231 crore after 8 days. The Hindi version of War 2 is propelling the collections while the dubbed versions are down and out. War 2 won't be able to make most of the open week that it has. If the film got a favourable word of mouth, the collections in week 2 would be exceptional. Alas, that has not happened. A final India gross of Rs 275 crore is also not guaranteed based on the poor trend. In the post pandemic, YRF has just had two resounding blockbusters in the form of Pathaan and Saiyaara, and a hit in the form of Tiger 3. The other movies are all flops and disasters. What's interesting is that YRF, despite more failures than successes in the post-pandemic era, has profited well. Saiyaara has been their biggest money-spinner, taking care of all the other losses. The Day Wise Gross India Collections Of War 2 Are Are Under Day India Gross Collections Thursday Rs 59 crore Friday Rs 67 crore Saturday Rs 38 crore Sunday Rs 36 crore Monday Rs 9.50 crore Tuesday Rs 10.50 crore Wednesday Rs 6 crore Thursday Rs 5 crore Total Rs 231 crore gross in 8 days War 2 Has Resulted In A Loss Of Around Rs 30 Crore For YRF War 2's losses are around Rs 30 crore for YRF, unless they bear a part of the losses incurred by the Andhra distributor. If they do bear a part of the losses that the Andhra distributor incurs, then the biggest loser of the movie will be Hrithik Roshan, who took a lower upfront amount than his prevailing market value, so that he could have a share in the profits if the film works. Since the movie hasn't worked, he won't get any backend profits.
