He didn't have a ticket for the reunion concert in Manchester's Heaton Park.
Transport planner John, 42, said he had arrived in Manchester ticketless but with a "master plan' after borrowing a yellow high vis vest and litter grabber from work.
'I took it with me as a last resort.
'They'd been lying around in one of the warehouses so I borrowed them for a bit,' said the transport planner from Alfreton, Derbyshire.
'I was quite lucky.
'It was just unbelievable really.
'From a security point of view, it was easy to get in and they didn't check for any tickets.
'I was acting very casual and when I saw the security guys I started picking up litter around them, saying 'Mind if I grab that mate' and I walked through.
'I did a half hour shift of picking, filling a bag with beer cans and plates.
'It was well worth it.
Oasis kick off first Manchester homecoming gig after 16 years away
'I didn't get paid for the work but I got a free concert.'
Amazingly, the entrance John decided to infiltrate was front standing, meaning he was just feet from Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage.
Oasis kicked off their Live '25 tour in Cardiff last week before travelling to Manchester for five homecoming shows.
Three further gigs are set to take place at Heaton Park this week - on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday - before Oasis travel to London to perform for five nights at Wembley Stadium.

Robert is close to exposing killer John in Emmerdale – but a twist follows
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has had John Sugden's (Oliver Farnworth) card marked since he met him in Emmerdale. Robert has had his suspicions ever since he gate-crashed John and Aaron's (Danny Miller) wedding. Then he began to sense something amiss over Nate's death and he is now perilously close to uncovering the truth. The last time someone came close to outing John, they ended up in a coma. John is out to protect himself as investigations into Nate's murder get a little too close to home. He chose to frame Owen, the man who drugged Robert, telling others that Owen had confessed during a medical appointment with him. The next thing anyone knew, Owen turned up dead with a suicide note confessing to Nate's murder. While the village was awash with shock and John was confident that he had neatly tied things up with a bow, Robert's internal alarm system was going berserk. He arranged to meet with Owen's brother Steve who gave him a crucial bit of information – Owen had a solid alibi for the time of Nate's murder. Robert is on to John in a big way and is going full throttle in bringing John down. As Robert starts to scrutinise John, his next suspicion lands on the fact John has seemingly saved so many lives. He starts to probe how John saved Jacob's life, but Jacob rushes off mid-conversation. Pollard (Chris Chittell) fills in a few blanks for him, including just how many other lives John has saved – too many to be in the right place at the right time. Robert remains steadfast inn his mission and when he airs his opinion against John to Chas (Lucy Pargeter), he's not bothered that she won't hear a word said against him. Then the next opportunity to investigate falls into Robert's lap – John leaves his phone on the table. Robert grabs the phone and tries to unlock it, but despite having no luck getting in, he still strikes gold – as he hands the phone back to John he implies he's seen something, and he can see John is shaken. Why Tony Blair was unhappy with guitar gifted by Mexico's president
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair was reportedly keen to hold onto a guitar gifted by U2 frontman Bono, newly released official files reveal. The documents, from the National Archives in Kew, west London, show Mr Blair was eager to use the rules on ministerial gifts to acquire the instrument from the Live Aid campaigner once he left office. He did, however, question whether he would have to pay "the full purchase price". Under the rules, Mr Blair, who was prime minister from 1997 to 2007, was allowed to accept gifts worth over £140, but had to pay for them himself, less the £140 difference. No 10 officials suggested that the prime minister might want to take the same approach when it came to a white Fender Stratocaster, worth £2,500, from the Canadian singer Bryan Adams. But while delighted with those offerings, Mr Blair's enthusiasm waned for a similar gift from the president of Mexico. Of the acoustic Vargas guitar, which was presented to him by President Vicente Fox during an official visit to Mexico in 2001, he said: 'I don't actually use it.' Mr Blair is a noted music fan and played guitar and sang in a rock band called Ugly Rumours while a student at the University of Oxford. In 2000, rock legends Pete Townshend, David Bowie and Mick Jagger bought a 1957 Fender Stratocaster, once owned by Eric Clapton, in a charity auction and gave it to Mr Blair. However, the prime minister gave the guitar back so it could be auctioned again to raise more money for flood and drought victims in Africa. Appearing on the BBC's Desert Island Discs on 1996, Mr Blair chose a guitar for his luxury item. The files also show that the prime minister rejected advice that he should not keep a Pro Braided tennis racket given to him by the manufacturer, Slazenger. Officials feared that it was part of a 'marketing ploy' by the company and suggested it should be donated to a children's charity as 'you cannot be seen to endorse any product'. Mr Blair, however, instructed them to simply thank the company, adding: 'It is very churlish to refuse to use it.'
