Run, do not walk, to these new $9 versions of Summer Fridays and Laneige lippies.
1. Laneige's Neo Blurring Powder to absorb oil and blur pores so effectively that you'll be like, "Oh...witchcraft??" Might be the only explanation for how this can matte-ify your complexion while still keeping it radiant and glowy like the fresh spring dew. ✨
Amazon, www.amazon.com
2. A pair of Bottega Veneta–inspired pilot shield sunglasses so close to the $699 version that reviewers are *spooked* by the attention to detail, down to the weight of them. These are already blowing up on TikTok so I'd personally grab them NOW before everyone descends on them.
Amazon
Promising review:"TikTok made me buy these!! One video did it for me and I RAN to Amazon. And yes, I bought ALLL the colors. They fit like a dream and are good quality. People that know their sunglasses thought these were the REAL THING! For the price, these are made EXTREMELY well and look hecka expensive. Get all the colors so you can wear them for every season." — Santana Davis
3. E.l.f. Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm for all the ultra fans of Summer Fridays, Rhode, and Laneige whose bank accounts are begging them to put a stop to the lippie madness. These new deliciously tinted, moisturizing, buildable glosses are just as buttery and decadent as the balms that inspired them, for a fraction of the price. (Brb, drowning myself in the "Strawberry Shortcake" and "Vanilla Toffee" flavors.)
Promising review: "Diva, stop letting these influencers sway you into spending your hard-earned (and scarce) beans on $20–$30 subpar lip balms — you're paying for the brand, and the quality is questionable. ELF KNOCKED THEM BOTH OUTTA THE PARK WITH THIS! SO BUTTERY, SO YUMMY, SOOOOOOO MUCH PRODUCT!!!!! i wasn't expecting the tube to be so generous in size, by far the biggest amount I've seen from the market. The flavors are divine, the color payoff is even better than Summer Fridays … and it's only $9, you cannot go wrong. I just can't fathom any balm being priced above $12, E.l.f. always hits and barely misses. 🩷💋" — SONIA
Price: $9 (available in Strawberry Shortcake, Blackberry Sorbet, Java Chip, Vanilla Toffee, Wild Cherry, and Yummy Gummy).

www.amazon.com
Psst — you can get this in the original Cheirosa 62 scents, *plus* three others!
Promising review:"Lately, I've been wanting to find a signature fragrance versus just smelling clean. I tried several perfumes, including high-end, and they just didn't seem to be a good fit with my body chemistry, or the smells just seemed to disappear. About a month ago, several ladies mentioned this brand on a group page and I decided to give it a shot. I've been testing it for a couple of weeks now and I am shook! It smells soooo good and EVERY TIME I wear it (especially if I layer the products in this set), I get complimented. EVERY SINGLE TIME! And my husband, who never notices when I wear fragrances, immediately came up to me, hugged me, buried his nose into my neck and told me I smelled amazing!" — LvrofAllThingsArt
6. A shockingly affordable "Glow Up!" Vitamin C Face Serum that packs a powerful punch — reviewers swear by this for reducing dark spots, brightening skin, restoring tone, and giving skin a more radiant, firm look. This particular serum's secret is the 3-O Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, which helps boost ~radiance~, in addition to the hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and vitamin E to help with hydration.
Promising review:"I've been using the Vitamin C Face Serum for a few weeks now, and I'm absolutely in love with it! My skin feels so much smoother and brighter, and I've noticed a significant reduction in the dark spots I've been struggling with. The serum absorbs quickly, leaving no greasy residue, and it has a lovely, light scent. My complexion is looking more even, and I can see a visible improvement in my skin tone. I also appreciate how gentle it is on my skin, with no irritation at all. This serum has quickly become a must-have in my skincare routine! Highly recommend for anyone looking to tackle dark spots and brighten their skin." — Patricia D.

Lattafa Khamrah Eau de Parfum for a luxury perfume at a stunning price point — this long-lasting, ridiculously beloved blend of rich vanilla, warm amber, and spicy cinnamon that has quickly won the allegiance of even the *biggest* self-professed perfume snobs. Reviewers comment again and again how wild the price is, considering this has the scent and presentation of a true luxury perfume.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa is one of those fragrances that immediately wraps you in warmth and comfort from the very first spray. If you're a fan of sweet, gourmand scents with a rich, spicy twist, this one's for yo u. The vanilla is soft and creamy, but it's beautifully balanced by notes of cinnamon and warm spice that give it depth and personali ty. The coffee note ('Qahwa') adds a subtle roasted richness, without overpowering the scent or turning bitter. It's more of a background warmth that rounds everything out, making it feel like a cozy café on a crisp evening.Performance wise? Outstanding for the price. This scent lasts hours on my skin and even longer on clothing. Overall, Khamrah Qahwa is an affordable gem that punches far above its price point." — Jessie Gonzales

"Because I have hated just about every facial sunscreen (especially you, Supergoop, lol) I've ever tried, the price for this product is honestly worth it. Doesn't feel greasy, oily, or silicone-y. Doesn't leave a white cast. Doesn't have a strong odor. It really just feels like I'm putting another layer of moisturizer on. If I go out with only this SPF with no makeup, my skin looks nice, dewy, and moisturized, but never oily or greasy. Most importantly, this keeps my rosacea in check!" — Christina Chetwood

19. E.l.f's Lash Xtndr Tubing Mascara, a GODSEND for anyone with thin or fragile lashes. This uses lightweight ~tubing~ technology to wrap around lashes and give them a natural-looking, smudge-proof extension so good it almost looks fake. The real boon, though, is how easily the "tubes" slide off in clean, easy swipes at the end of the day when you're washing your face — absolutely no smudging, over-scrubbing, or special eye makeup removal products required.
Check out a TikTok of the E.l.f. tubing mascara in action.
I am not a new human to the tubing mascara game, and in fact readily spent $26 on the famous OG blend from Blinc every time it needed replacing. I didn't even love it for the length half as much as the fact that tubing mascara like this genuinely never smudges, but can I just say — regardless of price, the E.l.f. tubing mascara formula blows all the others I've tried out of the water. It gives me way more length and volume than other brands, slides on so much more easily, stays put ALL day, and never, ever smudges. My favorite part, though, is how gently and easily it comes off with soap and water. In the past, other mascara removals have felt rough on my lashes, but this comes off so fast that I'm like ??? was I even wearing mascara a minute ago?? Anyway, I hesitate even writing this review because I want to gatekeep the hell out of this before it sells out, but the world needed to know. I'm a big fan of the brown shade (which is what I'm wearing above!), but it also comes in black and soft black.
20. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser you may just give "holy grail" status if you've got sensitive skin — this gentle but effective blend of niacinamide, ceramides, and prebiotic thermal water is designed to remove excess oil and cleanse pores while still preventing dryness and protecting your skin barrier.
Promising review: "I have sensitive skin, so finding a cleanser that works without irritating my skin can be tricky. This foaming cleanser was both gentle and effective. It left my skin feeling clean and refreshed without causing any discomfort, and it wasn't too drying. I'm really happy with the results and will definitely continue using it!" — PkH4207
21. A set of easy-to-build Lego daffodils to brighten up your bookshelf, end table, or kitchen with flowers that will always delight and never, ever fade.
Promising review: "I absolutely adore the Lego line of flowers. These daffodils are a wonderful addition to my flower vase. I love the use of different pieces for the flower parts, and that the directions also show you which pieces those are and what they came from. Very clever! www.amazon.com, Amazon
Promising review: "Love these drops. So effective, a little goes a long way. Great for a boost of hydration, especially in the colder and/or drier months. Great as a primer before makeup to smooth the skin. Such a value for a product that packs a punch. My skin hasn't looked better!" — Ken
23. Differin Acne Treatment Gel for prescription-strength acne care *without* the hassle of paying to see a dermatologist. This not only helps clear breakouts by helping with skin cell turnover to clear out pores and calm inflammation, but helps prevent them over time. The key to this is patience, patience, patience — a lot of reviewers mention seeing excellent results after the first month of use!
Head's up that you should definitely use sunscreen while applying this product and build up your use gradually, because retinoids are very strong! A lot of users also see a "purge," when their acne is temporarily worse as the product starts to take effect, so be on the lookout for that, too.
Promising reviews:"[This] has completely transformed my skin. I used to get hormonal acne every single month. I still get it now, but far less often and severely. Differin has really made a big difference in my quality of life. I have sensitive skin, so I only use it a couple of times a week and always over a light layer of lotion. When I first started using it, my acne did get worse for about a month, and then magically, one day, my skin looked amazing. It's worth a try for sure!" — Britt
24. A set of hypoallergenic gold-plated earrings you can mix and match to your aesthetic's content. Reviewers love how well these hold up over time, especially given the price!
Amazon
Promising review:"Love these huggies. So cute and so many people ask where I got them. Love that each one has a different design. The closure on it is fabulous, it clicks in. I have been wearing them for a few months now even in the shower and no tarnishing." — Nicole Forbeck
25. A delightfully affordable instant foot peeling spray for anyone ready to go full YEEHAW!! on that at-home pedicure. This not only helps gently remove dead skin, but moisturizes dry and cracked heels, so you'll really get some refreshing bang for your buck.
Promising review: "This product delivers exactly as promised and is incredibly easy to use. I suffer from dry skin and often apply various products to soften my feet. With this, I simply spray it on and immediately massage it in with my hands. The dead skin comes off effortlessly. There's no waiting time, and it's gentle on the skin. It leaves my feet feeling exceptionally soft. This has quickly become my new favorite thing." — KimT

Promising review: "This is the softest tank top I own right now. Hopefully it will stay the test of time but after three washes, it looks like new still. The cut is adorable and it's true to size." — Anna
27. A roomy sandproof mesh tote bag so you can take all your belongings to and from the beach *without* taking half the beach home with you. 🫠
www.amazon.com, Amazon

28. A pair of wide-leg high-waisted yoga pants for the *ultimate* in lightweight comfort — particularly since these are basically work pants in camouflage. Are they for yoga class or corporate nonsense?? That's nobody's business but yours and your booty's. 🥰

www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I use this not just to set my makeup but also to dampen my makeup sponge. I think it has made a huge difference in how my makeup looks and how much smoother it applies. www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com

But L'Oréal moisturizers continue to do what they have always done, moisturize and plump skin with collagen. This is the one I use for evening, and I use the same thing with added SPF for daytime. The scent of each is light and gentle and lovely." — Gail Lindhurst

If You Love The Look Of Expensive Brands A Bit Too Much, These 34 Cheaper Versions Will Save Your Bank Account

A tinted lip balm so close to the same magic as "Black Honey," TikTok's beloved $25 ~universal shade~ from Clinique, that it will genuinely startle you — especially when you see the price. This is a perfect, non-sticky "go-to" lippie that's just a step above the "no makeup makeup" look, giving the perfect subtly polished effect. (Brb, drowning myself in the "Strawberry Shortcake" and "Vanilla Toffee" flavors.) A high-quality, *just* compressive enough layering T-shirt reviewers love so much that a ton of them tried it and immediately ordered more colors to stock up. This shirt is double-lined but still feels lightweight on the skin, giving a sophisticated, expensive look with a casual feel. Reviewers compare it to Skims at a fraction of the price! A set of Victoria's Secret–inspired seamless "invisible" underwear so soft and stretchy your butt will want to *sing* when you slide them on. This is a true holy grail underwear that doesn't show, doesn't ride up, and somehow manages to look cute all at the same time. A Skims-inspired square-neck compressive body suit that's basically 10 outfits in one — you can rock it solo, wear it as a bodysuit tucked into jeans, or pair it with a hoodie or a jacket. Go, little base layer, gooooo! A three-pack of vintage-inspired polarized sunglasses for anyone who needs to stock up on a few "these look like Ray-Bans, but I won't cry into my Baja Blast if I accidentally leave them in the Taco Bell parking lot" pairs. These are especially handy because you can match the subtle prints to whatever 'fit you're wearing! A set of golden bracelets giving ~quiet luxury~ vibes at "I want to pay rent this month" prices. Reviewers especially love these mix-and-match sets because they look like expensive versions from Cartier — the middle one is giving the $8,000 "Juste Un Clou" and the studded one is giving the $6,000 "Love Bracelet!" Essence's Drop of Sunshine Bronzing Drops, aka the more affordable version of the beloved $39 Drunk Elephant version. This buildable, hydrating formula is an easy way to add a ~sunkissed touch~ to your beauty routine without breaking the bank (or compromising your skin!). An affordable, Lululemon-esque longline sports bra so comfy, supportive, and versatile that reviewers love it both for outdoor workouts, gym use, *and* errand running. This is designed to be supportive without being too compressive, with lightweight fabric that keeps you breezy in the heat. A ribbed button up tank top with some real Abercrombie & Fitch energy to perfectly straddle that line of "professional" and "I am 100000% going out after work today, and a martini glass will be involved." A plated clover bracelet that's a neeearrr perfect lookalike of the beloved $4,600 Van Cleef version, and will quickly earn its spot as one of your "effortless everyday" pieces you slide on before you leave each morning. And a dainty gold-plated station necklace, another home run from jewelry brand Pavoi so close to the real diamond versions from Quince and Dorsey that run $400+ that it'll turn all your everyday looks into ~quietly expensive~ looks. A pair of Buff Bunny-inspired booty-highlighting biker shorts for anyone who wants to add some fun prints and colors to their favorite ~asset~ when they're on the move, for a fraction of the usual $48 price. An Anthropologie-inspired reversible quilted throw blanket you can get in all kinds of fun, lively sprints that will startle your boring couch into having a personality, or give your bed a *much* needed reset. MagicMinerals AirBrush Foundation, your new favorite alternative to Dior's (discontinued!!) Airflash that lives up to the hype — one quick spray of the foundation on the included brush, and it glides so smoothly and subtly over your skin texture that you'll feel like a makeup artist did it for you. Reviewers in their thirties, forties, and up especially swear by this lightweight but effective formula, and love that it's ridiculously easy to use. A plated, jewel-embedded ring you can buy yourself as a little treat if the $1,250 Cartier Love Ring is decidedly out of your budget. Dare I say this version is ... prettier than the designer one? Etude's delightfully multipurpose Dear Darling Water Tint, which a lot of reviewers compare to Benefit's Lip Tint. This smudgeproof formula is designed primarily to be a natural-looking, weightless lip stain, but reviewers use it as a blush as well! A pair of pretty pastel wireless over-the-ear headphones crafted to look like AirPods Max, so you can still enjoy the comfort and chic style of their iconic headphones without shelling out hundreds of dollars. These feature premium cushion padding, a built-in mic with the ability to take calls, 10 hours of playtime per charge, and surprisingly decent noise blocking for the price. A multipurpose blush stick reviewers compare to the $18 Pixi Beauty version — this version may be cheaper, but it's also easily buildable, blendable, and perfect for that light, dewy, "kissed by a happy pink cloud" look. A square-neck lettuce trim "going out" top that a lot of reviewers compare to an expensive mall brand, but muuuuch more affordable. And thank goodness, because once you fall for its comfy stretch and effortless cool, you're going to want it in WAY more colors. A super lightweight, loose-fitting high neck muscle tank for fans of the Lululemon version at a *much* lower price point. This is a breezy *dream* thanks to the quick-dry fabric, the cross-over pleat in the back, and the slight petal hem at the bottom. And another Lululemon-inspired piece, a charming and oh-so-comfortable tennis skirt with built-in shorts similar to the Align style. The secret inner pocket on these is perfect for stashing keys and tennis balls, and the shorts are designed with a four-way stretch so they won't ride up. L'Oréal Paris Makeup True Match Lumi Glotion designed to enhance your skin's natural ✨ glow✨ just like the pricy Drunk Elephant drops — perfect for anyone who wants a lightweight alternative to foundation or just a lil' extra low-effort, ethereal shimmer in their lives. A ridiculously soft oversized hoodie reviewers compare to $$ brands like Skims, Aritzia, and Abercrombie. You know how on TikTok sometimes people say "this hoodie hoodies" like it's a noun and a verb? Enter this cult-favorite, reviewer-beloved hoodie, which does, in fact, hoodie. A pair of ~Dreamlux~ leggings made with an oh-so-buttery soft material reviewers compare to Lululemon's Align ... but WAY cheaper. If you're looking for a reliably squatproof, comfy, compressive legging, look no further than these. And a pair of elevated, effortlessly chic wide leg petal sweatpants that look like they fell out of an Anthropologie ad. Reviewers love how cozy and breathable these are, and that the style is perfect for indoor lounging *and* outdoor errands. A set of Bala Bangle-inspired wrist and ankle weights to get your ~fitness~ on — these serve all the same cuteness and function without the $55 price tag. Not to mention, this has a TON more colors available to match your 'fits. An iconic spaghetti strap sundress with built-in shorts perfect for romping around in the warm air *and* for saving a few bucks — this compares very closely to a more expensive mall brand version. A Lululemon-esque adjustable mini belted pack (aka ~fanny pack~) you can wear around your waist or shoulder for a lightweight bag alternative that you won't lose, since it is literally attached to you. A lot of reviewers mention how genuinely *stunned* they are by how much this little bag can secretly carry. A bodycon lounge dress perfect for fans of Skims looking to spare themselves a few bucks — this versatile, figure-hugging dress has just the right amount of compression to mimic the iconic style and stay oh-so-comfortable for long periods of wear. Catrice's Magic Shaper Face Cream Palette as an $8 alternative to the $88 (!!) Makeup Forever Palette. This includes a range of highly-pigmented, super blendable shades to help you contour, highlight, and bronze on days when your Gcal just say "GO GO GO" all the way down. (Psst — this is the same brand behind the TikTok-famous $6 Under Eye Brightener, so you know they mean business!) An affordable cult-favorite luxury-scented candle with a scent reminiscent of Le Labo's Santal 33, and a throw so satisfying that reviewers can't stop gushing about it. If you're in the market for a signature scent for your space this fall, look no further than this jasmine, oud, and sandalwood blend. An oh-so-classic pair of slip-on pointed toe ballet flats reviewers *love* as a cheaper alternative to the beloved Vivaia and Rothy's version, especially since these are also designed for all-day wear without any painful break-in periods. A suuuuper easy to use Beachwaver B1 Rotating Curling Iron with automatic curling technology similar to the $599 (!!) Dyson Airwrap that not only creates (LITERALLY) effortless curls, but is designed with a ceramic heat barrel that makes them hold up the whole day.

Is 'War of the Worlds' the worst movie of 2025?

It's got an epic title, a big-name star as its lead and a major studio behind it. But since it was released on Amazon's Prime Video on July 25, 'War of the Worlds" has become an all-time ratings bust. The new adaptation of H.G. Wells' book was ranked as one of the worst films of all time by the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. The film stars Ice Cube as Homeland Security surveillance and threat assessment expert Will Radford, who uses government technology to spy on, and later help, his children amid an unfolding alien invasion. Radford is at his desk the entirety of the film, watching events unfold in front of him on a computer screen. Eva Longoria, Michael O'Neill, Olivia DeLaurentis and Clark Gregg also star in the movie, which was directed by Rich Lee. On Rotten Tomatoes, the sci-fi movie has a paltry 3% rating on the "Tomatometer," which tracks critic reviews, and 21% on the "Popcornmeter," which tracks audience reviews. Rotten Tomatoes' 'Worst Movies at All Time' list ranks 'War of the Worlds' 88th. The 2002 sci-fi thriller ' Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever" is No. 1. The only other title from 2025 to make the list is Sylvester Stallone's 'Alarum.' Just one critic, Jordan Hoffman of Entertainment Weekly, gave "War of the Worlds" a certified fresh ranking, writing, " It's certainly stupid, but it's also a great deal of fun." Most others described the film as the worst take on Wells' 1898 novel about Martians invading Earth. Past adaptations include the Orson Welles-directed CBS Radio broadcast in 1938, a Gene Barry-starring 1953 Technicolor film and Steven Spielberg's 2005 film, which starred Tom Cruise. Lee 'butchers the classic sci-fi parable on humankind's colonialist ills and creates an obnoxiously dull, utterly braindead (arguable bootleg) exercise in capitalist, surveillance state propaganda,' wrote one Rotten Tomatoes critic. Some online noted that they felt like the movie's tagline — which is 'It's worse than you think' — is an appropriate way to summarize their reactions to the film itself. Lee and the cast have not publicly addressed the reaction. Neither Universal Pictures, which produced the film, nor Amazon Studios, which distributed it, responded to requests for comment. (Universal Pictures is a division of NBC News' parent company, NBC Universal.) But as with some other films that receive poor reviews, the reaction to "War of the Worlds" has also made it buzzy. Many viewers have transformed Ice Cube's reactions in various scenes into memes and GIFs. The film has solidified a place on the online database Know Your Meme. The website attributes the rise in online traction to a July 21 post on X from the user 'PoorOldRoloTony,' who shared a clip from the film. The user wrote, 'War of the Worlds (2025) is the worst adaption of the source material to date. It had no ideas beyond the found footage approach.' The post had been viewed 1.9 million times as of Tuesday. Users across TikTok and X have also continued to poke fun at the acting, dialogue, oversimplified device hacking and heavy-handed messaging about mass government surveillance and conspiracy theories. 'Sounds like Ice Cube is reading directly from a script that he had never seen before...,' a TikToker wrote in the text of their video, which featured a clip from the film. The video has been viewed 1.1 million times. One TikToker even impersonated Ice Cube, recording themselves dressed as him and reciting lines from the movie. Some viewers have also criticized the movie's placement of Amazon products, including scenes that feature a Prime Air delivery drone and a character receiving a $1,000 Amazon gift card. Vetz, a YouTube channel that ranks and review movies, cited the product placement as one of the main reasons the film ranks on its 10 worst movies of 2025 list. 'The worst product placement I've ever seen in my life,' said Joel, a reviewer for the channel, which has 261,000 subscribers. On the popular movie tracking platform Letterboxd, the film averaged just 1 star from the roughly 90,000 people who logged having watched it.

Prime Video's YA Frenzy: Head Of TV Talks Strategy With Updates On ‘TSITP' Spinoff Potential, ‘We Were Liars' Season 2, ‘Off Campus', ‘Fourth Wing' & More

Prime Video is slowly but surely cementing its authority in the young adult genre. The streamer's incredibly popular adaptation of Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty returned for its third and final season earlier this month to stellar viewership. From Season 1 to Season 3, the premiere week-audience has tripled. More from Deadline 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3 Splashes On To Prime Video With 25M Viewers In 7 Days Post-Premiere 'We Were Liars' Cast: All The Famous Faces In The Prime Video Adaptation Prime Video Buys Raoul Moat Documentary 'Rampage' TSITP is no doubt a juggernaut for Prime Video that, unfortunately, has to come to an end. But make no mistake, YA will continue to be alive and well at Amazon. In fact, the series returns in the middle of what feels like a moment for Prime Video's YA slate, which has been growing slowly but surely over the past few years. The streamer is currently home to titles including We Were Liars, Motorheads, Maxton Hall and Overcompensating, with more on the horizon including Legally Blonde prequel Elle, series adaptations of Elle Kennedy's popular Off Campus college romance novels, and Rebecca Yarros' fantasy epic Fourth Wing. There are also titles in the works that aren't specifically YA but target a similar demo including The Better Sister, which launched in May, and upcoming works like The Girlfriend and Mike Flanagan's Carrie adaptation. Prime Video's Head of TV Vernon Sanders tells Deadline it's all part of a plan to build an ecosystem of content that keeps the fans top of mind. RELATED: There's a 'sense of community we're trying to build at Prime Video that it's not just the destination to watch content, but it's a chance to connect with storytellers, creators and for audiences to build relationships with one another. So that's our ultimate goal, and we're seeing this summer the real fruits of those labors start to pay off,' he said. In the interview below, Sanders talks more about the YA strategy at Prime Video and shares updates on several anticipated titles including many listed above. DEADLINE:TSITP VERNON SANDERS: We knew that we had what we hoped was going to be a giant hit coming in Season 3. Credit to our PR and marketing teams who teamed up on a women-led campaign that started in spring and has spread through the entire summer. We were extremely excited to see the results on The Better Sister, which was a big hit for us. We've been really pleased with the build-up, whether it's We Were Liars or Overcompensating or Motorheads. We have The Runarounds coming later this year. We have The Girlfriend. All of these were really strategically placed throughout the year. This women-led campaign has really sort of brought it all together. There was a giant event in New York where we brought the cast of not only our U.S.-led series and movies, but we also brought our international cast. So we had the cast of Culpa. We has Maxton Hall, which is another hit. We've really created what we think is this fan-led community, which is really sort of humming along. So I think smart scheduling, and also this fan/customer-led campaign, has really ignited us here. We're very, very excited by the results. DEADLINE: SANDERS: I think we're unique in that Prime Video has, obviously, all the roots of that Amazon helped build. The company got started by selling books. Our relationships with readers and authors, I think, is quite unique. I think we may have stumbled upon a little bit of a recipe that's really worked for us. Great adaptations lead to more book sales. More book sales lead to more conversation. That leads to success for all of us. I think it's about the voice, and so it doesn't have to just be an author who is adapting or a writer who's adapting or a showrunner who's adapting. We're also leaning into creators. We're trying to find those folks who just have something to say and and have had some success really resonating with that audience. So whether it's Megan Park or Benito Skinner — we're super excited by the results we've seen by from Overcompensating. Josh [Schwarz] and Stephanie [Savage] have had incredible success, and they're bringing that success to us. Julie Plec … Mike Flanagan is doing an incredible adaptation of Carrie. We love working with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter on Elle, which we think is going to be something that's going to surprise everyone. So it's really about the voice and building community, and that's what we're focused on for this part of our strategy. DEADLINE:Overcompensating. SANDERS: We are hopeful. We've got some Season 2 writers rooms happening on several of our spring and early summer launches. We were always proud of Overcompensating, [and] just the reception of it has really, really given us even more encouragement. So stay tuned. DEADLINE: TSITP Might we expect spinoffs in the future? SANDERS: That was probably wishful thinking for me at the time, and Jenny has stayed really focused to getting these seasons right. We're pursuing new and different things with Jenny right now. She's presented some some other things that are related to this. So once the full season is launched, we'll get into conversations, and we'll ask her to pick from the many things that she's surfaced. But we've moved away from those conversations. DEADLINE: We Were Liars? SANDERS: Well, that's one of the shows where the writers are hard at work, working on what a Season 2 would be. We've been really excited by the results we've seen there, and it's one of the shows that I hope will have some positive news to report soon. They're hard at work in presenting us with material on a Season 2, and there's been quite a clamor from fans of that show to keep the story going. So we'll see. DEADLINE: Motorheads. SANDERS: We were just really wowed by the idea of the show. We were launching NASCAR this summer, and so having a show that actually spoke to fans of that genre [was an asset]. It was really just the characters. We feel like we lucked out getting into business with those showrunners as well. We are conscious of not wanting to repeat ourselves. So there's a real breadth to what we're trying to do. We're always trying to make sure that we've got some shows that are earnest. We've got shows that have some darkness to them, [like] We Were Liars. And Motorheads has just really sort of resonated with us and struck us. What I've been excited to see on that show in particular is we've got such great completion rates. So folks who start that show tend to watch it all the way through, and that's a great sign. So thanks for asking about that show. We're quite proud of it. DEADLINE: Red, White & Royal Blue. SANDERS: The film team would kill me if I revealed anything, so I'm gonna leave that to them, but that movie was an inspiration for all of us on the series side. It was so well done, and we took a lot of lessons and cues from that in terms of what we were doing. DEADLINE:Off Campus SANDERS: I will share that we've been obsessively watching dailies, and we're really excited by what we're seeing. We should be getting our first cuts in the not-too-distant future, and that show is definitely going to be launching in 2026. So it won't be this year, but it will definitely be next year. DEADLINE: SANDERS: As I said, this is a part of our strategy. We're also focused on young men, and we've had a lot of success with animation and some of our big tentpoles [have been] a real beacon for young male audiences. But for young women, I think it's not only wanting to build a great library that if someone comes in for a show, they are sort of brought into a whole world of options and great stories that has all the elements. So, romance, horror, surprise. We're excited about our adaptation of Fourth Wing, which we're really working hard at. If you look at that, it has so many elements to it. It's got a more smorgasbord of genres inside that. But I think the thing I'm most focused on, thanks to the teamwork between our marketing teams and our PR team, is this sense of community we're trying to build at Prime Video that it's not just the destination to watch content, but it's a chance to connect with storytellers, creators and for audiences to build relationships with one another. So that's our ultimate goal, and we're seeing this summer the real fruits of those labors start to pay off. DEADLINE:Fourth Wing? SANDERS: We don't have news to report yet, so I won't be breaking anything here, but we're hard at work. We love our relationship with Rebecca Yarros, who has been incredible, and we're going to get this one right. So that would be my promise to the fans.
