
MoEHE to hold 2025-2026 back-to-school activities

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) is preparing to launch its annual 'Back to School' event for the 2025-2026 academic year on August 25 and 26 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
The event will be attended by ministry leaders, educational cadres, students, parents, and the public. This event is part of its efforts to create a stimulating educational environment that ensures an effective start to the new academic year.
The event's programme includes a series of diverse educational and motivational activities. The Training and Development Center is organising training workshops targeting school leaders, teachers, students, and parents, with the participation of a select group of trainers from inside and outside Qatar, including Dhabia Al Khalifi, Dr Abdul Rahman Al Harami,Wadha AlAdhba, Dr Abdul Nasser Fakhro, Jawaher Al Mana, Ahmed Yousef Al Maliki, Ramzan Rashid Al Naimi, Maryam Al Zubair, Latifa Al Kuwari, and Alaa Al Asfour.
The programme also includes organising a 'Teachers' Projects' exhibition, which highlights the outcomes of the 'Innovation Leaders' initiatives and the 'Tamheen' programme.
On the sidelines of the event, participating teachers and school leaders will be able to experience the journey of obtaining a professional licence via interactive digital screens. This will be done in light of the updated and enhanced procedures for obtaining the licence, which are considered a fundamental step in the path of professional development and supporting educational competencies.
This year's edition features the participation of educational expert Dr Yasser Al Hazimi, who will deliver a lecture to the general public on the first day titled 'Psychological Balance and Quality of Life'.
The second day will witness the annual educational meeting, through which the ministry seeks to highlight the most prominent strategic directions for the new academic year. The meeting will include an inspiring and motivational segment presented by Ramzan Al Nuaimi titled 'Innovation: The Path to Survival and Excellence'.
The main stage will also host the 'Information Challenge' segment with Mohammed Adnan and Abdullah Al Ghafri, in addition to entertainment shows and public competitions presented by broadcaster Abdullah Al Halabi and the puppet 'Hessa', in addition to segments dedicated to children presented by the Mowasalat Company (Karwa) .
This edition also witnesses the participation of a number of distinguished partners who contribute to enriching the attendees' experience.
Alef and Al Rawnaq bookstores offer the latest school supplies at special discounts, KidZania offers children the opportunity to explore professions, while Mowasalat (Karwa) provides a virtual reality experience for driving school buses.
Corners have been designated for arts, drawing, and handicrafts, in addition to a special corner for people with disabilities, enhancing the comprehensive educational nature of the event.
Ooredoo, a leading telecommunications and information technology company in Qatar, will also participate through direct interaction with the audience by sending introductory and encouraging messages to attend the event, in addition to organising competitions at its dedicated pavilion, and presenting valuable prizes to winners of the 'Information Challenge'.
Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, director of the Public Relations and Communications Department, stated: 'Through this year's Back to School event, the ministry is keen to strengthen its partnership with the community and provide a uniquely stimulating environment for students, families, and all members of the educational system, which will contribute to motivating them to engage in learning with a spirit of enthusiasm and confidence.'
She also invited the public to participate in the activities of this event, which represents a distinctive start to a new and distinguished academic year .
The ministry is also keen to participate in the Back to School event organised by Msheireb Properties, through the 'Education Stage' booth, which witnessed a remarkable turnout and interaction from our students, both male and female, and the active participation of our teachers, both male and female. Teachers are present daily from 4pm to 10pm at Galleria Msheireb to provide interactive activities that develop students' skills and renew the pledge to continuous learning. The events continue until August 29.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education affirmed that these activities are part of its commitment to providing a positive educational and psychological environment for students from day one, contributing to the development of a generation that is aware and passionate about education and learning, capable of contributing to the comprehensive development process, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
