Two dead in helicopter crash
The incident occured along the stretch of water between Illinois and Missouri earlier today (Thursday)

Video footage shows the helicopter falling from the sky, colliding with the barge, and bursting into flames near Alton.
The recording also shows huge plumes of black smoke billowing across the sky in the aftermath of the crash, with the wreckage of the helicopter strewn across the deck of the barge.
It's believed the pilot of the helicopter may have hit overhead power lines before losing control of the aircraft, and its been reported that the helicopter was carrying repair crews who had been working on overhead lighting.
Reports on First Alert 4 say multiple emergency crews responded to the crash and confirmed two fatalities.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will begin their investigation into the crash tomorrow morning.

Six people have died in a head-on collision while on holiday in Portugal. Four members of the same family, and a family friend, all died in the road accident when their car was in collision with another car as they made their way from Faro Airport to their holiday destination near the Spanish Border, while a Portuguese man driving alone in the second car also died. The family, understood to be from the UK, were travelling north from the Algarve towards Mourao in the district of Evora near the Spanish border, when the tragedy happened in the early hours of this morning (Saturday) on the IP2 main road in Castro Verde, when they were about halfway to their destination. The victims include two 20-year-old twins, their 55-year-old father and their 51-year-old mum as well as the 19 year old girlfriend of one of the twins, and a Portuguese man who was driving the other car. Sources said all four members of the same family killed were British passport holders, although the twins' parents originally came from Portugal, and were returning to the area for a summer holiday. (Photo by) The girlfriend of one of the boys, who also lost her life in the accident, is believed to be of Polish origin but also lived in the UK. It's not yet known where in Britain the family had been living or how long they had been living in the UK. The man travelling alone in the other car has been named locally as Ruben Goncalves, who came from a town in Portugal called Almodovar. He was travelling South on the IP2 while the family were travelling North, when their cars were involved in a head-on collision. The circumstances surrounding the fatal accident are being investigated by the Portuguese police. Olympic champion 'attacks boyfriend' in leaked airport video
Olympic gold medallist Sha'Carri Richardson was caught on CCTV footage seemingly having a heated altercation with her boyfriend, leading to her arrest last month. The leaked video captures the moment the USA's Paris 4×100m relay champion appears to forcefully grab and push her partner, fellow American sprinter Christian Coleman. The pair are seen walking along when Richardson, 25, suddenly reaches for Coleman's backpack from behind. During what looks like a fiery exchange, Richardson is seen shoving her 29-year-old partner against a pillar. Onlookers start to notice the commotion as the couple momentarily disappear from view. When they re-emerge, they're seen heading towards security, with Richardson continuing to be physical with Coleman. Richardson, who secured gold with Team USA in the 4x100m relay, landed in trouble after being arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, resulting in a 18-hour stay in custody before being let go. Coleman later stated he had no intention of pressing charges. Port of Seattle Police received information from Richardson that the argument kicked off over Coleman taking her headphones. "Richardson advised she did not assault him in any way and the dispute was only a verbal argument," the police report noted. Coleman stepped up to defend Richardson amidst the controversy, as Citius Mag reported his words: "For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round," he said. "I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love. It didn't affect me. Dog walker who 'pushed cyclist into canal' speaks up after furious response
A dog walker embroiled in controversy for allegedly shoving a cyclist into a canal in Greater Manchester has broken his silence. The incident, captured on the cyclist's camera, shows Klaudia Mitura, 34, halting abruptly on the Ashton Canal towpath in Manchester as a man seems to yell at her to 'slow down'. Klaudia is heard arguing about their dog, but the man snaps back 'yeah but you're on a f**king bike'. He then brands her 'a f***king idiot', and the video captures Klaudia tumbling into the water. Klaudia, from Manchester, insists she was pushed and was terrified she might 'drown' since her feet were clipped to the bike pedals, complicating her escape. The tale sparked a deluge of comments and reactions on the Manchester Evening News website and Facebook page, with readers fervently debating who was at fault. The dog walker, now eager to clear his name, has spoken up. The 35-year-old, who wished to remain anonymous, refutes the accusation of pushing Klaudia, alleging instead that she struck him with her handlebars. He explained: "After it happened, I turned around. I said to her 'are you okay?' She told me to f**k off. "She was stood up. She wasn't stood on a rock. The canal was waist high." He added: "She was totally in the wrong. I'm just a normal working guy like anybody else but at the moment I'm just being slandered."
