GTA 6 goes live on PlayStation store after 2nd trailer released
Grand Theft Auto VI is now available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store, igniting a wave of excitement and disbelief across the gaming community.
The listing, which went live shortly after Rockstar Games released the game's second trailer, includes new key art, screenshots, and the game's official logo.
Though no pre-orders have opened yet, the move signals a major step toward the long-awaited launch of Rockstar's flagship title.
The listing also reveals that GTA 6 will go live globally at 4 AM UTC on 26 May 2026, the date itself remaining firmly set for 2026.
So far, the game is only listed on PlayStation platforms, with no corresponding entry yet available on the Xbox Store—a detail that hasn't gone unnoticed by fans.
Rockstar has not commented on when Xbox users will be able to wishlist or pre-order.
The absence of pre-orders is slightly unusual but not unexpected.
Based on Rockstar's release patterns, GTA V pre-orders went live shortly after its second trailer, while Red Dead Redemption 2 saw pre-orders begin a month after its third.
For GTA 6, it appears Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive are holding off—possibly until a third trailer or a formal marketing beat hits later in the year.
With more than a year remaining before launch, the current focus appears to be on stoking anticipation rather than starting transactions.
Still, for fans who've waited a decade since GTA V, the simple act of wishlisting the next chapter in the franchise feels like a milestone.
For now, PlayStation users can bask in the feeling that GTA 6 is no longer a rumour or a leak—it's visible, tangible, and slowly inching toward reality.

Thousands of PlayStation accounts banned as Sony targets Russian users
Sony has launched a sweeping crackdown on PlayStation accounts linked to Russian users, suspending thousands of profiles amid efforts to enforce regional restrictions. Since officially exiting the Russian market in 2022 following geopolitical tensions, Sony has barred access to PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) and other digital services in Russia. Despite the ban, many Russian gamers continued accessing PS Plus by using foreign addresses, payment methods, and VPNs. In response, Sony has recently stepped up enforcement, using IP address tracking to identify accounts accessing the service from Russian territory. This intensified action has led to widespread suspensions, affecting both new and long-standing accounts with valuable games and subscriptions. Many Russian players report losing access without warning or explanation, with some having invested substantial amounts in their libraries. Sony's move is seen as a measure to comply with international sanctions and uphold its regional service restrictions, signaling a firm stance amid ongoing geopolitical challenges affecting the Russian gaming community.

Sony forecasts flat profit this year as tariffs bite
TOKYO: Sony said on Wednesday it expects operating profit to rise 0.3% to 1.28 trillion yen ($8.7 billion) in the financial year ending in March, after factoring in a 100 billion yen hit from US President Donald Trump's trade war. The estimated tariff impact does not reflect this week's trade deal between the United States and China and the actual impact could vary significantly, Sony said. Sony's shares reversed a more than 3% fall from the morning session to rise over 2% in afternoon trading after the results. The Japanese conglomerate has transformed from a maker of household electronics such as the Walkman to an entertainment behemoth spanning games, movies, music and chips. President Hiroki Totoki has strengthened his grip over the conglomerate, taking the CEO role last month. Sony is preparing for a partial spin-off of its financial unit as it focuses on entertainment. The spin-off, which would leave Sony with a stake of less than 20%, will take place in October. Sony sold 2.8 million PlayStation 5 (PS5) units in the fourth quarter, a 38% drop compared to a year earlier. Operating profit at the gaming unit fell by 12.5% over the same period. Sony raised PS5 prices in Europe and Britain last month, citing higher inflation and exchange rate fluctuations. Sony expects profit at the games business to increase by 16% this year due to higher sales of first-party games. Sony posts 10% profit rise in Q1, beating estimates 'Ghost of Yotei' is set to launch in October, following the success of 'Ghost of Tsushima' which has sold 13 million units on PlayStation and PC. Industry observers expect 'Grand Theft VI' to boost the console business but Take-Two Interactive said this month it has delayed the game's release to May 2026. Sony's operating profit including financial services rose 16% to 1.4 trillion yen in the year ended March, beating analyst estimates.

New GTA VI trailer captured entirely in-game from Playstation 5
Rockstar Games just dropped the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it's raising eyebrows for all the right reasons. Despite initial assumptions that the trailer leaned heavily into story mode, Rockstar has clarified that it features 'equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.' What's more impressive? The entire trailer was captured in-game using a PlayStation 5, no cinematic trickery, no pre-rendered fluff. The visuals are a full-throttle flex of the hardware's power and Rockstar's technical prowess, showing off exactly what players can expect when the game finally lands. 'The trailer was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5,' Rockstar confirmed, which makes the seamless visuals even more jaw-dropping. Whether it's chaotic car chases, moody neon cityscapes, or tight character animations, everything seen in the footage is pulled directly from what the console can generate in real time. The result is a showcase of GTA's next-gen evolution, blurring the line between cutscene and control. Set for release on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be a milestone entry in the franchise. But fans will need to exercise a little more patience. Shortly before releasing the trailer, Rockstar announced that the launch date has been delayed. Originally slated for late 2025, the release has now been pushed to May 26, 2026. While disappointing to some, the studio insists it's a necessary move to meet their own high standards. 'To deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve,' they explained, the team needs the extra development time. Although delays are never easy for an eager fan base, Rockstar's history of producing landmark titles suggests the wait will be worth it. And if this new trailer is any indication, what's coming is not just another GTA game, it's a generational leap.
