Noel and Liam Gallagher make last-minute Oasis change hours before reunion tour

The line-up in the first printing of the Oasis programme named a female singer, but she wont be on stage after all following a last-minute change hours before they're due on stage
Oasis have had a very last minute change to their line up - with a member of the band named in the tour programme no longer heading out on the road.
The Mirror reported yesterday how the main Oasis line up was as expected with Liam Gallagher as the frontman and Noel Gallagher on guitar alongside close pals and regulars Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell. The new drummer is Joey Waronker, who performed with Liam Gallagher and John Squire last year on a tour.

But in the tour programme there is also a list of additional musicians playing with the band and they are; Christian Madden on keyboards, Jess Greenfield on backing vocals, Alastair White on trombone, Steve Hamilton on saxophone and Joe Auckland will be playing the trumpet.

Jess would have been a rare female member of the group but the Mirror understands she will no longer be on stage.
A source close to the band said she was only listed in the earlier drafts of the programme and will not be going on tour.
'The band are not using backing singers anymore. Noel has worked loads with Jess in the past but after final rehearsals were done and the set list was drawn up it made more sense for Noel to do the backing vocals for Liam on the songs. It's a shame for Jess but it's likely there will be other opportunities for her with Noel in the future. They just didn't need her in the end."
In February on the podcast Behind The Curtain Jess was asked about the Oasis reunion and said: 'I found out pretty much when everyone else did. I'd heard rumours and then I heard for definite two days before through someone else. Yeah It was definitely a shock.

'I'd love to go. Hopefully Wembley cos it is Wembley. It's amazing and the last time they performed those songs properly was in the Nineties when I was a teenager and I didn't go to the gigs back in the day.

'So it will be nice to see it as an adult. I'm really looking forward to it.'
Trumpet player Joe Auckland, saxophonist Steve Hamilton and Trombonist Alastair White have also worked with Noel in his band The High Flying Birds, whilst Christian Madden plays keyboard with Liam. The programme also lists Bonehead as playing both guitar and piano on tour.
Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together in public today, since the band split nearly two decades ago in Cardiff today. There will also be dates in Manchester, London and Dublin as part of the tour.
The band are thought to have rehearsed in the stadium this week although Liam has played down the suggestion when people were asking him about certain songs in the setlist.
Fans began to queue to go into the stadium last night, with the earliest people there getting their tickets upgraded to VIP status.
The band will finally take to the stage tonight, having split in August 2009. In a video to promote the comeback last year, Liam was heard saying: "When we both come together, you have greatness."
Noel then says: "I know my brother better than anybody else. This is it, this is happening."

Oasis fans slam pubs outside Oasis gig venue over 'horrific' price increase

Oasis fans have been enjoying drinks in Cardiff's many pubs as they prepared to watch Liam and Noel Gallagher take to the stage Oasis fans were less than impressed with the prices of pints in and around Cardiff's Principality Stadium. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher finally made up after feuding for 16 years, with the two swiftly announcing a huge reunion tour in a shock announcement made last summer. And on Friday night (July 4), over 70,000 fans descended upon the Welsh capital city for Oasis' very first gig of their tour as they chanted and cheered for the brothers. Before heading into the venue, which was charging £8.20 for a pint, many fans enjoyed a few pre-drinks at the pubs surrounding the stadium. ‌ ‌ Some fans complained of the price increase at nearby Wetherspoons pubs, where a few drinks were £2 more expensive. The pub chain confirmed to The Sun they raised the prices at three of its Cardiff city centre pubs. "We can confirm that prices were increased in three of our Cardiff city centre pubs during the Oasis concert," they said. "The police categorised it as an event day, which meant the pubs were required to have additional door supervisors. "In addition the pubs employed more staff than usual for the concert. Wetherspoon continues to offer value for money prices." One concert-goer even took a picture of the drinks menu and shared it with others on social media, writing: "Prices at Cardiff City Centre Wetherspoons today for Oasis opening night - horrific, shocking, butters." Another fan complained about the price of drinks at the Cardiff Marriott, writing: "Nice of @CardiffMarriott to introduce dynamic pint pricing for the gig today, 18% increase on a pint of beer #Oasis #Cardiff." ‌ Once fans are inside the stadium, support act Cast will play first at 6pm following by Richard Ashcroft at 7pm and Oasis taking to the stage at 8.15pm. Oasis fans have been forecasted to buy 8,667,600 pints during the tour, with 2,219,458 of those pints getting chucked in the air in celebration. The Oasis reunion was initially so secret that Liam and Noel told just eight people, with friends and family not in the loop. ‌ That all changed with the announcement of the tour in August last year. The pair posed for several photos together confirming the band's long-awaited reunion on Tuesday, saying: "The great wait is over." Ticket sales then led to chaos as millions of fans around the world scrambled to get them. The band will finally take to the stage tonight, having split in August 2009. In a video to promote the comeback last year, Liam was heard saying: "When we both come together, you have greatness." Noel then says: "I know my brother better than anybody else. This is it, this is happening."

One of the band's most famous songs, Wonderwall, was the penultimate track on their 23-song set list, performed as part of the encore. And as he belted out the immortal line: "There are many things that I would like to say to you", he added: "But I don't speak Welsh." The humorous ad-lib was just one of his interactions with the crowd on the evening which drew a smile. Earlier in the evening, in a nod to the huge prices fans had to fork out to be at the show, he'd asked the fans in the crowd: "You alright, you all having a good time? Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for the ticket?" During the final song of the evening, Champagne Supernova, Liam thanked Oasis fans for "putting up with them". He said: "Right then beautiful people this is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years. "We are hard work, I get it. Champagne Supernova, nice one for coming out." Fans filtering out of the stadium last night gave glowing reviews to our reporters, describing it as "the best gig ever", "ten out of ten" and "worth every penny." Others described it as "absolutely amazing" and "an emotional, out of body experience". Critics also lauded the performance of the band, with five star reviews given across the board.
