This is set to keep her on the seemingly struggling ITV soap for at least another year amid the cast exodus.
A number of high-profile stars have left Coronation Street after a string of high-profile budget cuts.
However, one star has revealed that she is very much set to stay on the cobbles, and possibly behind the bar of the Rovers.
West End star Jodie Prenger, 46, first made her debut on the long-running serial drama as Glenda Shuttleworth in August 2022.
She rose to fame after winning the second series of The Biggest Loser in 2006.
This was before she beat out the likes of Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley to win the role of Nancy in the 2009 West End revival of Oliver as part of Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC Talent show, I'd Do Anything.
The actress soon swapped the stage for the screen as she secured a 'dream' role on the cobbles.
Jodie has now revealed that she's set to reprise her popular role in more episodes of the show.
She excitedly told Bella magazine: "I've just re-signed my contract! The poor things have got stuck with me for another year!
"I'm thrilled. I love it there. I used to always say to my agent, 'Would you ask if I can be on Corrie?'."
She added: "I was that crazy person outside, pitched in a tent, wanting to get in – and now I'm in!"
Coronation Street's Jodie Prenger reveals future of Platt family after fans feared another soap legend will quit
This comes following a string of high-profile exits including Helen Worth, who departed her long-running role as Gail Platt.
This was after a 50-year tenure on ITV screens which kicked off a series of other long-running cast members also leaving Weatherfield.
Former I'm A Celeb campmate Sue Cleaver left her role as Eileen Grimshaw behind, whilst Daisy Midgeley (played by Charlotte Jordan) flew abroad for a new life in the sun.
Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) was dramatically killed off, while fans are currently witnessing the decline of Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) from Dementia.
Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) also left the street to volunteer at a modern slavery charity in London after her partner Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) started fresh in Germany.
This is after ITV slashed the number of weekly episodes of their entire soap offering.
Emmerdale used to air six episodes per week, Monday to Friday with a double episode on Thursdays.
Corrie also aired six episodes per week, which were spread across Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with two episodes each night.
Now just five 30-minute episodes of each soap will air in what execs have labelled as the 'soap power hour'.

EastEnders' Jack makes a discovery about Oscar as tensions boil over

EastEnders' Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is on a mission to get to the truth after he witnesses a tense exchange between nephew Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) next week. Both Oscar and Howie are currently covering up huge secrets, which look set to be rumbled when local copper Jack starts searching for clues in forthcoming scenes on the BBC soap. Earlier this month, viewers saw Oscar knock Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) unconscious when he broke into No.20 to steal cash to pay off a group of thugs from his time in young offenders, who were threatening his family. Howie later uncovered evidence that proved Oscar was responsible for the robbery and Patrick's attack, but rather than turn the teenager over to the police, he blackmailed him into handing over the cash, which Howie kept for himself. With Patrick now back home, he has been struggling with anxiety over his attack. Riddled with guilt, Oscar has tried to ease his conscience by striking up a friendship with Patrick and helping out Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter). Next week, Howie is furious when he catches Oscar and Patrick playing dominoes. He's then further angered when Oscar accepts an invite to Patrick's stag do ahead of his wedding to Yolande. Howie later collars the youngster, demanding he stay away from Patrick. However, they are both unaware that Jack has been watching on in the distance. As the day of Patrick and Yolande's stag and hen parties arrives, Jack quizzes Oscar about his confrontation with Howie, but his nephew gives him short shrift. The corporation had already launched an inquiry into its flagship Saturday night family show amid claims two of its stars had used cocaine. It is understood that detectives from the Met Police are examining other allegations relating to the telly ballroom hit, which has been rocked by a string of controversies. Our latest shock revelation comes as the BBC prepares to launch Strictly's 23rd series next month - after officially announcing the line-up of celebrities including reality TV star Dani Dyer. A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'It's a significant new development in the BBC's recent string of crises that they have now got the police involved in investigating allegations surrounding Strictly. "This is a very dramatic turn of events. 'Despite all the show and its team have been through over recent months, it's hugely controversial that you've now got Scotland Yard detectives probing Strictly. 'This is their biggest prime-time family entertainment show, so it's not a good look for the BBC.' Strictly has been the subject of inquiries into bullying and inappropriate behaviour over the past 14 months. But this is believed to be the first time the BBC has been in contact with the police over allegations linked to the show. Strictly Come Dancing 2025 lineup IN FULL - including Game of Thrones star & famous YouTuber It is understood the matter was referred by the BBC after it launched an inquiry, conducted by external lawyers Pinsent Masons, into alleged drug use on the show. The Sun on Sunday reported two weeks ago how it was 'well known' that two Strictly stars took cocaine. It was claimed one accused another of being 'off their face' - saying: 'Have you seen their pupils?' It's hugely controversial that you've now got Scotland Yard detectives probing Strictly Source Lawyers were brought in after ex-Strictly star and opera singer Wynne Evans made allegations in a legal submission to the BBC in March. In relation to the drugs allegations, the BBC said a fortnight ago: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. 'We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. 'It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.' Plunged into crisis The BBC previously investigated bullying allegations by actress Amanda Abbington against pro Giovanni Pernice. Graziano Di Prima was fired over claims he kicked celeb partner Zara McDermott. Earlier this year Evans was dumped by the BBC after he was filmed making a 'spit-roast' comment to EastEnder Jamie Borthwick at the Strictly tour photocall. In June Borthwick was suspended after The Sun on Sunday revealed he made an offensive slur against disabled people and Blackpool. It was also claimed he filmed himself messing around with a sex toy in a Strictly tour dressing room. The BBC has also been plunged into a crisis over its cookery show MasterChef, with co-hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode fired. Meanwhile, corporation chiefs have also been probing claims of bullying on BBC Breakfast, including allegations about host Naga Munchetty's behaviour. Last night Scotland Yard said: 'On Monday 4 August, the Metropolitan Police received a third-party allegation. "The police investigation is in its early stages. No arrests have been made at this time.' We approached the BBC for comment.

Loose Women stars left ‘disappointed' at major change to show ahead of move to digital channel following ITV cuts

ITV'S Loose Women face a tight squeeze in a new 'broom cupboard' studio. The talk show's panellists are said to be disappointed by their new home — a third the size of their old one. 3 Loose Women panellists are said to be disappointed by their new home Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 3 Bosses aim to capitalise on the popularity of panellist Olivia Attwood Credit: Getty Advertisement 3 Sources say the Loose Women podcast does brilliantly on ITVX Credit: Spotify The move to London's Celebro from White City comes as the series is dumped on to ITVX as part of a daytime shake-up. It is switching to 30 weeks from 52, losing its 100-strong studio audience and its regular celebrity guests. A source said of the studio: 'Cast and crew are crestfallen. It feels like a broom cupboard. It's going to be very cramped. Advertisement "It feels like the show they've fought so long and hard to create is slowly being decimated. It's heartbreaking.' The studio audience is going so it is easier to upload the show on ITVX before it airs on terrestrial — as bosses see the hub as a rival to Netflix and Prime Video. Sources say the Loose Women podcast does brilliantly on ITVX and proves the audience is there. Bosses also aim to capitalise on the popularity of panellist Olivia Attwood who has 250million views across her streams. Advertisement An ITV source said: 'We have always said these programmes will find a new home in 2026. 'The studio is not confirmed, when it is we will communicate that news to our staff first.' An ITV spokeswoman said: "Loose Women is broadcast across ITV1 and ITVX and there are no plans to change that."
