Cadbury said it had discontinued its dark chocolate fingers
One bargain hunter shared the find on social media writing: "Bournville dark chocolate fingers scanning at 45p at Sainsbury's in Crawley, West Green."
The savvy shopper added there was "plenty" of stock left on shelves when they were at the store.
It comes days after The Sun reported the popular dark chocolate snack was being axed by Cadbury.
The crispy biscuits were a popular item within Cadbury's Bournville range, which features dark chocolate products.
The dark chocolate snack originally launched back in October 2020.
In the past, the Fingers were praised for being less sweet than the ordinary Dairy Milk fingers.
A Cadbury's owner Mondelēz International previously told The Sun: 'We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business.
"Our Cadbury Bournville Fingers were discontinued this year.
They added: "However, we still have plenty of other delicious products for consumers to enjoy, such as our Cadbury Bournville Giant Dark Buttons and our classic Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Fingers.'
If you are keen to get your hands on Sainsbury's bargain find, you may want to act quickly.
Sainsbury's scraps in-store changing rooms leaving shoppers furious
It is likely the supermarket is selling the axed chocolate at a discount to help shift the product before it disappears for good.
You may only be able to shop this product in-store as it appears to be unavailable online.
With that in mind, it might be worth ringing your local branch ahead of time to avoid a wasted trip.

DISCONTINUED DARK CHOCOLATE
It comes as Brits have had to wave goodbye to a number of dark chocolate bars.
Toblerone axed the dark chocolate version of the bar earlier this year.
Mars axed its dark chocolate Bounty in 2023, leaving customers heartbroken.
At the time shoppers said the moves was "bad for their mental health".
Others were quick to share their pain with one fan saying: "Noooooo. Dark chocolate Bountys beat milk chocolate Bountys hands down.
And it's not only dark chocolate fans getting bruised, a number of beloved chocolate bars have vanished from shelves in recent years.
Nestlé confirmed two years ago that it had axed the Caramac bar, first launched in the late 1950s, due to "low sales".
But the treat has been spotted sporadically at bargain retailers since.
However, it's not all bad news sometimes iconic chocolate bars make a return.
Milky Way Crispy Rolls returned earlier after they were discontinued three years ago.

Speculoos biscuits are Lidl's alternative to the popular Lotus Biscoff cult treat. While the biscuits are already one of its supermarket staples, the doughnuts mark the latest edition to the Speculoos range. Despite being inspired by Krispy Creme's top seller, Lidl hasn't adopted the same eye-watering price point. Instead of forking out a hefty sum, the baked good retails for over half the price of its competitor's. While customers can expect to pay £2.95 for Krispy Kreme, this new alternative comes in at a far more palatable expense of £1.29 per doughnut. Sweet treat sends shoppers into frenzy In addition to the more palatable price point, they have also been met with rave reviews. After one shopper shared her find on the treat on the Food Finds UK official Facebook page, the post quickly blew up, gaining close to 1000 likes. One customer was quick to write: "I can confirm that they are exceptional." Other social media users shared this customer's excitement. Lidl's latest bakery offerings Lidl launched another new baked good earlier this month, which sent shoppers into a frenzy. The German discounters released a Strawberries and Cream Blondie which retailed for just 89p per slice. Shoppers were stunned to see the item on shelves, with one saying they "need it". Another fan simply commented "oh my days" after spotting the item back again. The Sun also reported this month that shoppers can bag themselves a free pastry across Lidl stores over the next few weeks. Lidl has brought back the popular Spin to Win offer on its loyalty app, which lets you spin a virtual wheel to win a baked treat. All you need to do is make a purchase in store, which could be as little as 1p. Shoppers will need to download the free Lidl Plus app and scan it after making their purchase. Once you've scanned, the Spin to Win offer will appear in the app. Then you are in for the chance of winning a host of prizes, including an apple turnover, chocolate twist, or even a slice of pizza.

‘Flawless' crisp brand is making major change to fan favourites after 40 years

It's a big week for crisp lovers! We kicked off with Walkers unveiling two new permanent flavours, which was a big deal, as it's the first time in decades the brand's core crisp range has been updated. And now another iconic crisp giant has announced plans to launch new products, that are a twist on classics. Nik Naks, which have been a lunchtime staple since 1982, revealed new Twisters – a new spin on the existing crisps, but shaped to look like a whirling, twisting tornado. These will be available in two fan favourite flavours: Nice 'n' Spicy and Tangy 'n' Cheesy and the new look is a huge milestone for the brand. This is because it's the first time in its 40-year history that a different shape has been released. The new Twisters are going to be exclusively sold in Sainsbury's supermarkets from October and will cost £2.50 for a multi-pack of nine bags. If you've never tried Nik Naks before, this could be the time to do so, that way you'll be able to compare and contrast the differences when the new ones arrive. Made of corn, the original Nice 'n' Spicy option taste tangy and spicy, while the Cheesy ones bring a traditional cheese flavour. Shoppers have long been big fans of the former especially, with reviews on the Tesco website hailing the Nice 'n' Spicy crisps as 'small but mighty', 'flawless', 'delicious', 'different from other crisps' and 'the perfect snack'. One customer gave five stars, writing: 'Amazing taste. What can I say, Nik Naks have been an absolute favourite of mine since childhood and they haven't changed a bit. Still taste the same, my favourite flavour is Sweet BBQ, but I still love the tast of Nice 'n' Spicy ones. 'It's great value for money, the texture is crunchy and great.' Another reads: 'I love Nice 'N' Spicy – they're my go-to when I'm craving something with a bit of a kick. The knobbly, crunchy sticks are so satisfying, and the spicy flavor really hits the spot without being overwhelming. 'Perfect for when I want a bold, fun snack that's a little different from the usual.' Speaking about the upcoming launch, John McDougall, Nik Naks and Heritage Portfolio senior brand manager, said: 'The launch of Twisters marks a revolutionary moment for Nik Naks – our first-ever new shape! 'We've taken our iconic flavours and given them a playful new twist. We're so excited for snack lovers across the UK to try them – give them a spin!' More Trending If you can't wait for October, the new Walkers crisps have already been released, with new Sticky Teriyaki and Masala Chicken packs being sold nationwide. These flavours join Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar, Cheese & Onion, Prawn Cocktail, Roast Chicken and Smoky Bacon in the core line-up. Walkers claims the Sticky Teriyaki crisps are both 'sweet and tangy', and the flavour will 'hit your senses'. And the Masala Chicken ones are said to have a 'rich and creamy' taste, giving you a 'bite-sized' version of the UK's favourite Indian dish, Tikka Masala. Do you have a story to share? Government to raise business rates on properties valued over £500,000 from next year More than 100 large supermarket stores from Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons and Asda could become unprofitable Aldi and Lidl largely unaffected due to smaller store sizes Treasury says the move will fund permanent tax cuts for smaller retail and hospitality sites Potential closures could reduce local shopping options and harm town centre trade Shoppers could soon see their local supermarket on the chopping block as sweeping changes to business rates threaten the viability of more than 100 big-name stores. Under government plans, business rates will rise for properties with a rateable value (the estimated annual rental value of a property )of more than £500,000 from next year. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The move is designed to help fund permanent tax cuts for smaller retail and hospitality outlets, But for large supermarkets, it could be the tipping point that pushes them into the red and renders them unprofitable. Which stores could be affected? Industry sources say the shake-up will hit several of the UK's biggest grocery chains hard, according to The Financial Times. (Photo:) | Getty Images Around 50 of Sainsbury's 600 larger stores are expected to become unprofitable, while 'tens' of Tesco locations could face the same fate. Morrisons reportedly has 30 of its almost 500 branches at risk, and as much as 90% of Asda's roughly 600-store estate will be impacted by the higher property tax. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad By contrast, discount retailers such as Aldi and Lidl are expected to be largely protected, as they tend to operate from smaller sites. Analysts at Colliers believe less than 10% of Lidl stores will be caught by the new threshold. Why are the changes being made? The Treasury says the changes are about creating a 'fairer business rates system' that protects the high street and encourages investment. The new lower rates for smaller sites will not be subject to a cash cap, unlike existing relief schemes. But for communities, the loss of a major supermarket could be a serious blow. Large grocery stores often act as an anchor for local shopping areas, drawing in customers for nearby businesses. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Closures could force residents to travel further for food shopping, reduce choice, and weaken local retail competition. Sainsbury's and Tesco remain in a strong position overall, reporting profits of £420 million and £1.2 billion last year respectively. But industry insiders warn that higher costs will add to the mounting pressures of rising wages, supply chain inflation, and other new taxes.
