Emmanuel Macron And Brigitte's Unconventional Romance
The couple's unconventional relationship began when Brigitte was Emmanuel Macron's drama teacher at La Providence, a private school in Amiens, in 1993. At the time, Emmanuel Macron was 15 and Brigitte, then married with three children, was 40.
Their connection deepened when the teenage Emmanuel Macron asked his teacher to help him rewrite sections of a play. 'Little by little, I was won over by his intelligence," Brigitte later admitted. Despite rumors circulating about their romance, Brigitte encouraged a 17-year-old Emmanuel Macron to complete his schooling in Paris. Before leaving, Emmanuel Macron famously vowed, 'Whatever you do, I will marry you!"
True to his word, Emmanuel Macron married Brigitte in 2007 when he was 29 and she was 54, in the upscale town of Le Touquet. The ceremony was attended by Brigitte's three children and Emmanuel Macron's parents. Addressing his new family and guests at the time, Emmanuel Macron toasted, 'Each and every one of you is a witness to these last 13 years… You have accepted us. You have made us what we are today… I want to thank you for loving us the way we are, and I want to thank Brigitte's children because this has not been easy for them."
Brigitte once told Elle France, 'There are times in your life where you need to make vital choices. Of course, we have breakfast together, me and my wrinkles, him with his youth, but it's like that."
Emmanuel Macron's Political Rise
After their marriage, Brigitte left her teaching career to support Emmanuel Macron's political ambitions, becoming his main consultant when he served as finance minister in 2014. In 2017, at just 39, Emmanuel Macron became France's youngest-ever president.

Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube owner to suspend content in France
The firm behind Pornhub, YouPorn and RedTube is suspending access to the adult content platforms in France from Wednesday, in a move that media said was in protest against a requirement for porn sites to verify that their users are 18 or older. "I can confirm that Aylo has made the difficult decision to suspend access to its user-uploaded platforms (P-rnhub, YouP-rn, RedTube) in France. We will be using our platforms to directly address the French public tomorrow," a spokesperson for Pornhub said on Tuesday. Aylo owns the affected platforms, as well as several other adult entertainment brands. Arcom, France's digital and audiovisual communication regulator, can request that porn websites are blocked and levy fines if it deems their age verification systems are insufficient. "If Aylo would rather leave France than apply our laws, they are free to do so," Clara Chappaz, France's junior minister for artificial intelligence and digital technology, wrote in a post on social media platform X. Arcom has said that 2.3 million minors access porn websites every month even though legally they should be blocked from them. Adult content platforms have come under fire elsewhere in the European Union. EU regulators said last month that several sites, including Pornhub, would be investigated for failing to comply with rules to protect children.
