Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal drew a sharp comparison between the two countries.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have risen after the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which left 26 people dead. In the middle of the outrage and ongoing debate, Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal shared a strong message on LinkedIn where he urged people to stay focused on India's growth and resilience.
'Every few years, the clown across the street sets himself on fire – just to prove he's still in the circus," he wrote. In his post, he drew a sharp comparison between the two countries stating how far India has come in the last few decades while taking a dig at Pakistan's current state.
'In 1947, two nations were born from the same soil. Today, one is launching satellites. The other is launching jihad," he continued, further urging people not to get distracted by such provocations. 'Noise is not power!" he said.
Anupam praised India's growth and confidence especially in how the country responded to the recent attack with Operation Sindoor. 'India just demonstrated that she is not an aggressor but will neutralize when provoked & escalate if required. This is the maturity of a nation on the brink of greatness," he said.
Anupam's message wasn't just about defence and foreign policy. He used the moment to shift the focus back to building the future. 'Let's not waste time on war-mongering. Let's build the Indian Dream – where merit & hard-work decides our future," he stated.
The entrepreneur concluded his post with, 'The Armed Forces just reminded the world that India is sovereign, self-reliant, and decisive. Now it's our turn. Let's get back to work. Jai Hind."
Not just Anupam but many television celebrities have also reacted to the government's strong response to the attack. Stars like Hina Khan, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Avinash Mishra and Aly Goni have voiced their support for the armed forces. They have condemned Pakistan's continued support for terror groups that have been targeting India for decades.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation following the India-Pakistan ceasefire. In his first statement after Operation Sindoor, he made it clear that the operation has only been put on hold for now. What happens next will depend on Pakistan's actions.
The Prime Minister further stressed that India is watching Pakistan closely. He firmly stated that 'terror and talk cannot go together" and added that 'terror and trade cannot go together" either. He also said, 'water and blood cannot flow together." With this, he sent a clear message about the country's stand on cross-border terrorism.

Jairam Ramesh slams PM Modi for ‘failing to protect dignity of India and Indians'

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government and accused it of "failing" to protect and safeguard the dignity of India and Indians abroad. This comes after a video of an Indian student handcuffed and pinned to the floor at an airport in the United States went viral on social media. The Congress MP Jairam Ramesh again criticised the Modi government after United States President Donald Trump announced the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan. In a social media post on X, Jairam Ramesh wrote, 'The Modi government is continuously failing to protect the honour of India and Indians. For the first time in history, a foreign head of state announced a ceasefire between India and Pakistan in India's absence. US President Trump is constantly claiming to enforce a ceasefire by pressuring India. For the past year, Indian citizens and students living in America have been repeatedly mistreated, but Prime Minister Modi is maintaining silence, or it should be assumed that he is unable to muster the courage to speak.' The Congress leader demanded that Prime Minister Modi immediately talk to President Trump and appeal for intervention in the "mistreatment" and "atrocities" being committed against Indians in America. The social media post reads, "He is the Prime Minister of India, it is his most important responsibility to protect the honour and dignity of India and Indians. We demand that Prime Minister Modi should immediately talk to President Trump and appeal for intervention in the mistreatment and atrocities being committed against Indians in America." Congress leaders have been attacking and questioning the government over Trump's self-claimed intervention during the India-Pakistan conflict. US President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for stopping hostilities between India and Pakistan after New Delhi's effective response to Islamabad's aggression following precision strikes on terror infrastructure. India had conducted Operation Sindoor early on May 7 and hit terror infrastructure in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Supriya Sule sidesteps question on buzz over NCP factions reuniting

The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) [NCP(SP)] working president Supriya Sule on Tuesday (June 10, 2025) avoided a direct response on the speculation about the rival NCP factions coming together, saying she was busy with other responsibilities and had no time to discuss the party affairs. Asked if she is remembering "dada" — her cousin and rival NCP head Ajit Pawar — on the Nationalist Congress Party's 26th Foundation Day on Tuesday (June 10, 2025), the Lok Sabha member told reporters that she has six brothers and she remembers them every day. To a query on whether she will call Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to wish him on the party's Foundation Day, Ms. Sule said, "I speak to all my brothers on different occasions." The NCP, founded by Sharad Pawar, split in July 2023 after nephew Mr. Ajit Pawar joined the then Shiv Sena-BJP coalition government. The party name and its clock symbol was given to the Ajit Pawar faction, while the one headed by the former Union Agriculture Minister was christened NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar). There has been speculation that the two factions could be looking at burying the hatchet and reuniting. To a query on a section of the NCP(SP) having the same feeling and Mr. Sharad Pawar saying all decisions regarding the party will be taken by her, Ms. Sule said, 'I have had no time to discuss the party affairs with party leaders or meet my family for the last 15 days. Everyone has the right to express their views and opinions in a democracy,' she added. "NCP is an organisation founded by Sharad Pawar and is functional for 26 years. Everyone, whether they are with us or not, has contributed to the growth of the party. There was team work. I am remembering R. R. Patil, who is no more," she said. Ms. Sule recently led a multi-party delegation and travelled to some of the foreign countries to convey India's stand following Operation Sindoor. The Parliamentarian said she will be leaving in the afternoon for New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet members of multi-party delegations which travelled abroad.
