The fire was first reported at around 4:25 p.m. in the 700 block of Kay Drive. Officials said a resident had been home at the time of the fire mowing their lawn.
The resident put the lawn mower up in the garage, went to take a break for a minute but returned to his mower and garage on fire. Firefighters arrived at the home and found the garage with heavy smoke and fire.
