For something with a bit of a more blue hue to it, Amazon also has a sale on its Homcomodar Extra Large Rugs for Living Room, which was £52.99 but is now £40.26 in a 24% off sale. Back at Dunelm, the Smudge Rug has received a rating of based on 52 reviews.
One happy reviewer said: " Lovely rug which looks more expensive than it was. Tonal colours fit well with my decor. Thin but comfortable underfoot. As others have already commented, the rug sits flat on the floor straight from the packaging.
"I have 2 dogs and after a couple of weeks, the rug is standing up well to their antics and a quick vacuum has it looking like new again. So far am very impressed."
Another heaped praise on the rug and said: "Beautiful, light and fresh looking, mixture of green and cream , hint of grey and small smudge of bronze."
While another shopper had this to say: "Looks and feels lovely. Just what we were looking for. The natural colours colours of this rug go together perfectly with our colours scheme. Yet another great purchase from Dunelm."
But one buyer pointed out they had a slight issue with the rug. In their review, they wrote: "This rug looks lovely in my lounge against the sage green feature wall. It is a little thin, but I'm ok with that as its really to add colour to the room".
While another wished it had another colour tone to it: "Great colours, wish it had a bit more orangey in it but perfect for my colour scheme. It's a little thin but only for a home office."

But overall, many shoppers were pleased with their purchase. "Exactly as shown in photos. Lovely subtle colours and looks to be hard wearing," one reviewed. "Brightens up my room. Great for spring/summer look. Not thick and woolly but thinner and hard bearing," another said.

Update issued on Cardiff transport strikes ahead of busy gig weekend
Update issued on Cardiff transport strikes ahead of busy gig weekend The strike action would have come at a time of several high-profile events in the city Strike action that would have seen hundreds of city bus drivers walk out has now been suspended as the result of a revised pay offer. The industrial action in Cardiff was supposed to take place from August 17 and was due to run for three weeks, ending on Sunday, September 7. The strike actionby 450 Unite members working for Cardiff Bus was due to an ongoing dispute over pay conditions. The bus service is the primary bus provider for the Welsh capital and its surrounding areas like Barry and Penarth. If it went forward the industrial action would have fallen on days of major events in the city like gigs by Tom Jones, Will Smith, and Basement Jaxx at Cardiff Castle. Working conditions were also a major bone of contention among union members as Unite alleged that timetabling issues left workers unable to take proper breaks and staff often faced long walking times to reach the break facilities. In a previous update, Cardiff Bus had said it had offered to raise the pay rates by 5.86% but union members had rejected the offer as it left drivers below levels in the rest of the UK. Never miss a Cardiff story by signing up to our daily newsletter here. However Cardiff Bus bosses have confirmed the strike action has been postponed after a revised pay offer was put forward. Unite will now be holding another ballot on the revised proposal, which will take place from August 15 to August 29. The union has confirmed all strike dates are currently on hold as the bus company has now put forth an "improved pay offer" to its members and has also proposed changes to working conditions. These changes include longer breaks and improved sickness terms. Unite regional secretary Peter Hughes said: "Cardiff Bus has returned to negotiations and put an improved offer on the table. "Unite has therefore suspended strike action to allow members to be balloted on the proposals." Bosses at Cardiff Bus are now urging workers taking part in the ballot to accept their revised pay offer. Craig Hampton-Stone, managing director of Cardiff Bus, said: "We were pleased to hear of the suspension of the planned industrial action from Sunday to allow for another workplace ballot to be undertaken. "I would urge all taking part in the ballot to accept the latest revised offer." Cardiff Bus has confirmed that its usual services will continue. Dragons' Den star Theo Paphitis warns of mass closures if shops are squeezed even more at Budget
DRAGONS' Den TV star Theo Paphitis has warned of mass closures if shops are squeezed even more at the Budget. The retail magnate said the high street would not survive further tax hikes after already being hit by hefty business rates. After backing Labour, he now highlights the 'immense burden' compared to online giants paying 'next to nothing'. Over 17,000 shops are tipped to shut this year. And speculation has grown Chancellor Rachel Reeves will pile on the pain. Writing in The Sun, Mr Paphitis says: 'After everything the high street has been through, asking it to carry even more weight would be the final straw for many. 'The government must ensure that no shop pays more in the upcoming Autumn Budget.' The Ryman boss took aim at a business rates system 'for a different age' where retail pays 20 per cent of all the receipts. Warning of a High Street hammer blow, he said: 'The loss is not just economic - it chips away at the social fabric, reducing spaces where people meet, work and spend time. 'Once a shop shuts, it is far harder and costlier to bring it back, meaning each closure represents a long-term wound to the health of the high street.' 1 High street chain with 185 stores launches 70% off closing down sales ahead of 25 shops shutting

Stylish garden furniture that is easy to store and 'looks amazing' now reduced by 30%
If space is at a premium in a garden and storage is an issue too, then garden furniture that is thoughtfully designed and can be folded to be packed away as compact as possible is very appealing. But the Compact Wooden Folding Dining Set, now reduced by 30% from £199 to £139.30 by Dunelm is not just practical, it's pretty too, with one happy buyer stating: "Really pleased with this set of table and chairs, looks amazing on my patio." The dining set has four folding chairs and the table folds up too, taking up so little space when it is not needed, and the impressive design doesn't stop there, with one buyer explaining: "Easy to stack away and love the table wheels, means I can move it without asking for help." Constructed from eucalyptus wood, the Compact Wooden Folding Dining Set comes with four folding chairs and a folding table, can be wiped cleaned with a damp cloth and is described by Dunelm as arriving at a home 'part-assembled'. Alternatives to the Compact Wooden Folding Dining Set are the Habitat Hector 4 Seater Rattan Effect Patio Set now half price to £150.00 in the company's clearance sale and the CASARIA® Sydney Wooden Garden Dining Table and Chairs Set that seats four and also folds away but boasts 'made with materials from well-managed forests, recycled materials and/or other controlled wood sources' now reduced by 15% to £174 from Amazon. Back to Dunelm and the complements keep coming for their Compact Wooden Folding Dining Set, with one reviewer saying: "A super patio set and just the right size, chairs are comfortable and the table is strong and sturdy and a lovely shade of wood, have had lots of compliments from my family and friends on it." The value for money was also a feature of the purchase that reviewers mentioned, with one saying: "Excellent value quality hard wood absolute bargain at half price!!!" and another adding: "Great quality and good value. Great set and very happy with purchase. Perfect for small garden." The recurring more negative feedback for the set was its assembly - many buyers say it is easy to put together but some point out that the instructions are poor but the furniture is worth the effort for most. One customer says: "Very nice looking set but the instructions for the table assembly are really unhelpful and could be better. However we love the size and the chairs are so comfortable you don't even need cushions apart from decorative obvs .Definitely recommend but you need patience to put the table together."
