Love Island's Shakira: Her age, job, Instagram and more revealed

We're just 48 hours into Love Island series 12 and already there's been so much drama after OG Islander Shakira was given the difficult decision of choosing a new guy to couple up with after her original man Ben was 'stolen' by bombshell Toni.
Last night's episode [10 June] saw her settle into the role of main character as she went around talking to the boys to see who she made a connection with. And by the end of the evening when host Maya Jama returned Shakira ended up coupling up with Harry, leaving fellow Islander Sophie single and dumped from the Island.
Though this little bit of drama may be over for now, we still suspect Shakira is going to have a big role in the series and so this is everything you need to know about her.
Shakira is 22 years old making her one of the youngest Islanders in the villa this year alongside Tommy who is also 22.
Shakira is from Burnley in Lancashire.
Shakira works in marketing, but on the weekend she also earns extra dollar by dressing up as a Disney princess for kids' parties.
Ahead of going into the Love Island Villa, Shakira told ITV she wanted to find a man who is "is tall, charming, witty, with big arms, a good smile and just really funny." She also revealed her icks include: "Bag hygiene, like bad breath. I can't deal with it. Garlic breath or onion breath on a date is a big no-no."
Over the last few years Shakira has been very active on her TikTok. Back in 2022 she created a dedication video for her parents and their marriage. As part of this she revealed her parents were still together, had been married for 20 years and had six children.
Ok so after doing a deep dive in her TikTok, in the last few years there's been a number of videos Shakira has shared where she does indeed appear to be vaping.

Over on TikTok her handle is @shakirakhannn and she has nearly 50,000 followers on the social media site. On TikTok she posts a lot of makeup and outfit videos as well as funny skits she does alongside her friends.
It's only been a few days in the Villa and already Shakira has had an eventful time. She was the first to enter the villa alongside Megan. During the initial challenge where the girls had to pick someone to couple up with based on their dating profile, Shakira picked taxi driver Ben.
The pair seemed to have a connection, however, Ben was taken off Shakira's hand by new bombshell Toni that very first night. Toni picked Ben to couple up with as soon as she entered the Villa, which left Shakira single.
Host Maya Jama then gave Shakira the very difficult task of having to find a new connection or risk being dumped the next day. She then spent all of Tuesday's episode talking to every boy to see who she had a connection with.
When Maya returned that evening three boys - Harry, Blu and Conor all wanted to recouple with Shakira. After a lot of deliberation Shakira chose to couple up with Harry leaving Sophie single and therefore dumped from the Island.
