Greyson Sigg has decided to withdraw from the tournament midway through the pro-am because his wife went into labor. The nearly $4.5 million golfer is going to become a dad. This could be one of the best reasons for exiting the competition, if not the best.
In his place, Zac Blair, the nearly $8 million golfer, takes the field. He participated in the Charles Schwab Challenge but missed the cut just like Sigg, carding rounds of 72 and 70.

Sigg proposed to his wife Katie, the daughter of Georgia's golf coach Chris Haack, back in September of 2021. He posted a beautiful photo of himself and his fiancée flaunting the ring on her finger.

"Finally did the damn thing! Looking forward to life with my best friend ❤️. Couldn't have done it without my @clubcar. #committotheG" He captioned. They married exactly one year later in September of 2022 in Highlands, North Carolina.
Sigg is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he was teammates with Sepp Straka, the Truist Championship winner. While at Georgia, he etched his name in the program's history by recording a 71.93 scoring average, ranking sixth‑best all‑time.
Since turning professional in 2017, Sigg has competed in 117 events and made the cut in 64 of them. He has amassed nine top‑10 finishes, including one top‑5.

Sepp Straka withdraws from BMW Championship due to a 'private family matter'

As was the case a week ago, there will be one player missing from the field among the qualifiers on the PGA Tour. Last week, Rory McIlroy didn't play the FedEx Cup Playoffs 2025 postseason opener in Memphis. This week, the 10th-ranked player in the world, who is a two-time winner this season, will miss out on the action at the BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. Why is Sepp Straka going to miss the BMW Championship? In a statement released by the PGA Tour: Straka is fifth in the FedEx Cup Playoffs standings. He tied for 17th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Sunday. He's also currently sixth in the Ryder Cup European team rankings. Straka won The American Express and the Truist Championship earlier this season. He's one of six golfers to have won at least two events in 2025. He has six top-10s this season and in his PGA Tour career, he's collected four wins.

Sepp Straka (personal reasons), No. 5 in FedExCup, withdraws from BMW Championship

Sepp Straka has withdrawn from this week's BMW Championship, the second of three FedExCup playoff events, because of personal reasons. The Tour said that Straka, No. 5 in the FedExCup standings, was attending to a 'private family matter.' Straka's manager added in a statement that Straka intends to compete at next week's Tour Championship. Up to No. 10 in the world rankings, Straka has enjoyed the best season of his career, with two victories, including in a signature event at the Truist Championship. He is also likely to be a part of the European Ryder Cup team for the second time. The BMW features 2,000 points to the winner – quadruple the points of a regular PGA Tour victory – but Straka's position entering the penultimate event makes him a lock for the winner-take-all finale at East Lake. Because of the new FedExCup payout structure, any drop by Straka after this week could result in a significant loss of earnings. The top points-getter at the end of the BMW earns another $5 million in bonus money. Straka, at No. 5, would be in line for a $1.45 million bonus. Straka tied for 17th last week in the playoff opener in Memphis.
