Her legal team stated that they had sought reimbursement for her legal expenses, as outlined in her contract, after she was subpoenaed by Lively's side earlier this year. Ferrer's attorneys claimed that Wayfarer refused to cover the costs unless she gave the company complete control over how she responded to Blake's subpoena.
Her lawyers further accused Baldoni of trying to control her 'through manipulation, intimidation, and other inappropriate conduct.'

Baldoni's attorneys have strongly denied the allegations in new court filings submitted on Monday, August 18. In documents obtained by People, his legal team argued that Ferrer's opposition was 'primarily an inappropriate attack upon Mr. Baldoni and his counsel relating to matters not before the Court and irrelevant.'
They further explained that the subpoena Ferrer received from Baldoni's side was a legitimate step to request documents either not previously provided or outside the scope of her February subpoena from Lively's team. Baldoni's lawyers dismissed her claim as 'without merit' and insisted that issuing a subpoena does not constitute harassment.
