reached out to him at the last minute. 'Apropos of celebrity drinkers of our tequila,' Palihapitiya wrote. 'I just got a text from Bezos. Sent my plane with a case of our tequila to Venice as a wedding present,' he said, adding 'Congratulations Jeff+Lauren!'.
Palihapitiya and his "All-In" podcast co-hosts launched the $1,200-per-bottle tequila on June 21 in Los Angeles. The 750 ml bottles, shaped like poker chips, sold out within hours, according to a TechCrunch report.
The tequila delivery came during Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's lavish three-day wedding celebration on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, which reportedly cost around $50 million. While the exact number of bottles sent to Bezos was not disclosed, flight tracking data showed a flurry of private jets landing in Venice for the wedding.

Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, are staying at the Aman hotel, a luxury 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal with a view of the famous Rialto bridge.
