Gaza - Saba:
Fadi al-Madhoun, the medical director of Doctors Without Borders (MSF), stated that the health situation in the Gaza Strip has reached catastrophic levels, noting that the Israeli side is being stubborn about allowing medical aid into the Strip.
In press statements on Wednesday, al-Madhoun said, "We are witnessing a major collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, as no medical supplies have reached us for 100 days."
He stressed that "if no medical aid reaches Gaza within two weeks, we will be forced to halt our services."
Al-Madhoun noted that 110 cases of malnutrition are recorded among children daily.
He explained that the shortage of supplies and medical personnel is one of the biggest problems facing the health sector.
Al-Madhoun also emphasized that the health system in Gaza will not last more than a month if the current situation continues.
The enemy continues to impose a complete closure on the Gaza Strip, preventing the entry of aid, relief supplies, medical supplies, and fuel since March 2, amid worsening famine among the population.
Since October 7, 2023, the enemy has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

MSF interventions in supporting Dhamar's health sector discussed

Dhamar - Saba: A meeting in Dhamar province, chaired by Governor Mohammed Al-Bukhaity, discussed on Wednesday the interventions of the Swiss organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in supporting the health sector to combat the measles outbreak. The meeting, attended by the head of MSF's mission in Yemen and delegation members, saw Governor Al-Bukhaity praising MSF's humanitarian response and its active role in supporting the health sector through targeted interventions aimed at alleviating suffering. He highlighted MSF's support for the isolation center at Al-Wahda Teaching University Hospital in Ma'bar city, as well as its efforts in operating mobile clinics across six districts to provide measles treatment, vaccination, and malnutrition care. Governor Al-Bukhaity noted the health sector's efforts in combating the spread of acute watery diarrhea and measles despite limited resources, stressing the importance of enhanced coordination to address challenges within available means. Meanwhile, the head of MSF's mission in Yemen explained that MSF is working to mitigate the suffering caused by the measles outbreak. She pointed to the support provided to the isolation center at Al-Wahda Hospital and mobile clinics in the districts of Al-Hada, Juhran, Dhuran, Jabal Al-Sharq, Ans, and Mayfa'at Ans, delivering treatment, vaccination, and malnutrition services. She affirmed MSF's commitment to expanding future interventions based on available resources to further support the health sector's efforts. For his part, Dr. Tariq Al-Khiwani, Director of the Health Office, outlined the challenges facing the health sector due to the spread of measles and acute watery diarrhea in several districts. He highlighted ongoing efforts to raise health awareness and educate communities on preventive measures. He expressed hope for continued MSF support for mobile clinics, disease control efforts, and the provision of essential medicines and medical supplies. Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Maqdad, Director of Al-Wahda Teaching University Hospital, reviewed the hospital's efforts in receiving measles cases from across the province and neighboring governorates. He noted that the hospital admits new measles and acute watery diarrhea cases daily, stressing the need for sustained medical services, isolation center support, and urgent supplies of medicines, IV fluids, and hygiene materials. At the meeting's conclusion, Governor Al-Bukhaity honored MSF and its mission head in recognition of their humanitarian efforts in supporting the health sector and combating disease outbreaks. Following the meeting, the Health Office Director and MSF's delegation visited the isolation center at Al-Wahda Hospital in Ma'bar. They received a briefing from the hospital director on the center's activities, medical care for measles patients, and operational challenges due to limited resources and rising caseloads, including acute watery diarrhea cases. Palestinian detainee suffers mobility impairment due to torture in Israeli enemy prison

Ramallah – Saba: The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) reported on Wednesday that 19-year-old administrative detainee Mohammed Naseem Abu al-Ezz from Jericho, arrested last August, has lost his ability to move due to repeated severe torture and beatings in Israel's "Naqab Desert" prison. According to a PPS statement, Abu al-Ezz's health rapidly deteriorated from continuous abuse, culminating in him being unable to meet his basic needs. This necessitated his transfer to Soroka Hospital, where he underwent delicate back surgery. He was later moved to "Ramla Prison Clinic," and now suffers from mobility impairment in the lower half of his body. The PPS emphasized that Abu al-Ezz had no prior health issues before his arrest, making him "a new victim of the systematic torture crimes" against prisoners in Israeli jails. The PPS affirmed that torture has been the primary cause of death for dozens of detainees in Israeli prisons since the start of what it calls the "genocide crime."
