Kelana Jaya LRT back on track at 11.10am after morning disruption
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, in a statement, said its engineering team completed the preliminary repair works at 10.56am and conducted tests on the track system and components to ensure the line could operate per safety standards.
'Nevertheless, the engineering and operations teams will continue to monitor train movements throughout the operating hours to ensure the Kelana Jaya Line runs smoothly.
'Full repair works will be carried out after operating hours to reduce disruption to passengers. A thorough investigation is also underway to identify the root cause of the issue to prevent a recurrence,' the statement said.
Rapid Rail also thanked the passengers for their patience throughout the disruption.
This morning, Rapid Rail announced that the Kelana Jaya LRT Line experienced schedule delays following a track switch disruption between Pasar Seni and Bangsar stations.
The issue was detected around 5.30am, resulting in trains heading from Pasar Seni to Bangsar towards Putra Heights having to be operated manually. — Bernama

He said among the vehicles subjected to enforcement action were Toyota Vellfire, Toyota Alphard, BMW 523i Limousine, Ford Mustang Fastback, Mercedes E250 CGI, Nissan GTR, and several other luxury models. Mohd Misuari said owning a luxury car is not an excuse to dodge the law, and RTD will continuously monitor the conduct of the vehicle owners involved. ALOR SETAR, Aug 10 — The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has expressed hope that more school students from the B40 group will join phase two of the MyLesen B2 programme, which allows them to obtain a free motorcycle licence. JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said this aligns with the 10,000 new spots under the initiative recently announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke. '…we are targeting to help more underprivileged secondary school students aged 16 and above obtain their motorcycle licence so that they can ride to school. 'JPJ, the Ministry of Education and state education departments have reviewed several matters to expand the MyLesen B2 programme to the school level,' he told reporters at the handover ceremony of the MyLesen B2 driving licence for Kedah state here today.
