Daily Record16-06-2025
The Royal Ascot kicks off tomorrow (June 17). The world famous horse racing festival starts on Tuesday, June 17, and runs until Saturday, June 21, and will draw viewers and gamblers from across the globe.
Thousands of fans will also make their way to Ascot each day for flat racing's summer showpiece, and they are expected to be joined by King Charles and Queen Camilla, who have several horses competing throughout the week.

The Gee-Gees and their jockeys will be competing for more than £10million in prize money during the five-day spectacle, so it's not surprising The Royal Ascot has attracted the leading competitors from all across the planet.

And Mecca Games have created a fun brainteaser that challenges you to find 10 horses who are trying to sneak into the event in a bid to get their hands on a share of the spoils.
However, there is something about each one of the animals that makes them stand out from the crowd.
From the fabulous hats that have long been associated with Ascot to unique manes and tails, it is your job to act as security and pick out the rogue racehorses trying to disrupt proceedings.
The image shows 30 horses in rows on a green field - but a third of them don't belong.
Can you pick out the 10 imposters? And, to make it trickier, can you manage it in under 30 seconds?
If you think you've got what it takes to keep the sneaky stallions out of Royal Ascot, scroll down and give it a go.

How are you getting on? Some of them are fairly obvious, but picking out all 10 in half a minute can prove challenging.
Have you got them all yet? Or are you giving up? Either way, scroll down below to find the solution.

Some of the imposters would have jumped out right away, with the winged unicorn probably the easiest one to find.
The dressed up gee-gees were also on the easier side, including one with a fetching pink sunhat, one carrying a handbag, one with a saddle, and another with clunky shoes instead of hooves.

Others had stylised parts of their body, with one rocking a red mane, another with a purple tail, and a third with yellow hooves and eyes.
Near the bottom, one horse was a slightly darker brown to most of the others in the image, and the tenth imposter had removed their tail entirely.

Did you get all of them in 30 seconds? If so, congratulations! And if you want to try some more, then we've got you covered.
Only 20 per cent of people can solve this Irish-themed puzzle in under a minute. And this testing teaser challenges you to work out which woman is the boy's real mum.

Russell Grant's horoscopes as Virgo could uncover something interesting

Today's horoscope forAugust 14 sees one star sign will have a fantastic day for social, family and business communications, while another is told to offer strength and support to those around them. Today's daily horoscopes for each star sign can be found below. These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant who has been reading star signs for more than 50 years. ‌ Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) Ongoing arguments make life difficult. The situation won't change unless someone does something about it. Whether it means ending a commitment and walking away or persuading a colleague to take on additional responsibilities, you need to look at how to bring this matter to an end, once and for all. ‌ Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21) You're annoyed because you haven't the time to fit in everything you had planned to do. If you don't complete all that you intended, don't be hard on yourself. You will keep at it tomorrow and the day after until the work gets done. There's no doubt about that. ‌ Gemini (May 22 - June 21) You are ready to get started on new plans. These will relate to finances, your job and your current assets. You will also get a chance to be involved in a group project that's focused on children in the community. You have some great ideas and when you feel so enthusiastic you can be very convincing and persuasive. Cancer (June 22 - July 23) You could find yourself talking with someone who is creative, skilful and yet also quite eccentric. Ideas are shared that you will want to consider more fully when you are on your own. A neighbour is drawn to you due to your interest in unusual topics. Leo (July 24 - Aug 23) You will find out something new during a casual conversation. Although someone who loves to gossip will want to prolong a discussion, you will be keen to break away in order to make a few more enquiries about something they happened to say that intrigues you. Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23) After some quiet delving you could uncover something interesting. Whereas some people around you are being too open about their intentions, you will take a step back to do some quiet research or discreet learning. It may even be just some online browsing that brings you the answer you are looking for. Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23) You're listening attentively to what other people are saying, suggesting and planning but you aren't going to reveal your own thoughts. You might need more time to come to a decision or you may already have some hidden plans in the works and you will continue to keep these a secret. Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22) A chat with a woman in a position of authority, either a senior colleague or older relative, could turn out to be quite interesting or unexpected. At least one thing they tell you will take you by surprise. If you are getting involved in a friend's plans later, at least ensure this suits your interests too. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21) If you aren't making travel plans you could be looking to start something new in the areas of publishing, law, medicine or higher education. Once you have decided on this, you won't be distracted from your aims. Conversations about shared property and other people's resources are likely to go smoothly. Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20) You can't complain about being bored when there is so much happening around you. It is your choice as to whether or not to get involved. Even just watching what is going on can be entertaining. It's a good time for learning something new. Talking with an influential person will leave a lasting impression on you. ‌ Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19) Discussions and interactions with others will be interesting, insightful and uplifting. People will react positively to your ideas and suggestions. You will want to share more due to their favourable responses. It's a fantastic day for social, family and business communications. Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20) Your attention is turning towards the needs of your family and other loved ones. If someone close needs help in organising their finances, health needs or basic routines, you will be happy to assist. Your children and loved ones need your strength and support and you intend to be there for them.

Netflix reveals major TV return for unrecognisable Peaky Blinders legend

When Cillian Murphy and Netflix combine, it's usually a match made in heaven. The Oppenheimer star has been a firm favourite with audiences since he first depicted Tommy Shelby in Steven Knight's Peaky Blinders back in 2013. But now, the streaming service has released the first-look images at the 49-year-old Irish actor as a headmaster at a last-chance reform school. The reinterpretation of Max Porter's Sunday Times bestseller, Shy, is set in the mid-90s and chronicles a pivotal day in the life of Steve (Murphy) and his pupils. Emmerdale's Vinny Dingle 'to report attacker to the police' - but it's not Mike

Emmerdale's latest episode saw Vinny Dingle preparing to contact the police after a beating from Mike, but it was teased someone else could be framed on the ITV soap One character faced being framed by Vinny Dingle in Emmerdale over a brutal attack. In sad scenes, Vinny had his fiancée Gabby Thomas believe someone else other than Mike had hurt him while he continued to lie about a theft from the night before. ‌ But as Vinny prepared to report the assault to the police during the latest episode, he broke down just moments after a confrontation with pal Kammy. It was Kammy that Gabby assumed had attacked Vinny, while she doesn't know just how badly Vinny was harmed having been kept in the dark about what's been going on lately. ‌ It comes as Mike's real identity was exposed as he beat up Vinny during Tuesday's episode, following weeks of Vinny questioning his sexuality ahead of his wedding to Gabby. Mike's real agenda also came to light as he used Vinny's torment against him in a blackmail twist. ‌ As fans know, Vinny has been questioning his sexuality ever since his near-kiss with pal Kammy. He's been left torn over whether he wants to be with Gabby despite his love for her, and he started speaking to Mike online who he thought was experiencing a similar situation to him. This is what Mike, actually Graham, had Vinny believe and this week we finally found out he was using it to blackmail him for his money. In violent scenes Mike beat Vinny on the ground before demanding £10,000. With that he fled the scene with Gabby and Vinny's wedding rings, and Vinny covered the whole thing up. Unfortunately for him Kammy sensed something was wrong and kept pushing, but he refused to confide in him. Instead, Vinny deliberately goaded Kammy into going for him cleary to get him to back off but also possibly to frame him for his bruises. The cruel twist saw Kammy shouted at by Gabby who later threatened him in the pub, refusing to listen to his version of events. ‌ Kammy later visited Vinny to ask what was going on, baffled by his behaviour. But Vinny screamed at him and refused to admit the truth, leading to Kammy telling him he needed to tell someone whatever was bothering him. In the end Kammy couldn't get through to him and left while Vinny seemed thoughtful, before a conversation with Gabby later on. We saw Vinny search for the number of the local police station on his phone, preparing to click call. But if Vinny does report the attack, could he be about to frame Kammy for the crime to cover up everything? Or might Vinny find the courage to tell the police and Gabby what went on with Mike.
