Nicola Peltz's plans for Brooklyn amid bitter David and Victoria Beckham feud

Daily Mirror12-05-2025

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly 'done' with billionaire heiress, Nicola Peltz, who married their oldest child, Brooklyn, three years ago at a £3m wedding in Florida
Billionaire heiress, Nicola Peltz, has big plans for her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, according to reports. The couple, who married three years ago in a lavish £3 million bash in Florida, are no strangers to courting publicity, sharing loved-up snaps of themselves on social media, making the most of their famous families' influence.
They are now hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons after swerving David Beckham's star-studded 50th birthday celebrations last weekend - despite being in the UK - with a insider suggesting Nicola was 'controlling' her husband, leaving his dad, David, "really hurt". Indeed, things have got so bad, that the former footballer and his wife, Victoria, are reportedly "done" with their daughter-in-law.

Just a few months after they tied the knot, Nicola and Brooklyn posed up a storm in an ice cream van emblazoned with a logo from fast food chain, Wendy's, which is owned by Nicola's businessman father, Nelson Peltz. It was one of the very first Beckham-Peltz joint endorsements – and it's likely there will be many more to come.
A source close to the family told the Mail that actress, Nicola, is "very much making the most" of her husband's name, saying: "Nicola is very much making the most of the Beckham name. She might hate David and Victoria, but she doesn't half like their surname."
Since getting hitched, Nicola's stock has soared, bagging a lucrative deal with Pepe Jeans, appearances in Vogue magazine as well as directing her first film, Lola.
Claiming she wouldn't be getting the attention if Brooklyn wasn't always by her side, the source said: "They are always together – you can't help but think it's Nicola who is making sure this happens. She might be very rich, but she wouldn't be getting any of the attention if it wasn't for her husband and his family."
The Beckhams, who are yet to speak out on their firstborn's no-show at David's birthday, allegedly think "Nicola is a bit of a horror" but concede "she isn't going anywhere soon".
They are also reportedly 'embarrassed' by the direction she is said to be steering their son career-wise. The self-confessed "nutter in the kitchen" has tried his hand at multiple ventures since working in a French cafe in Kensington as a teenager.

After joining - then leaving - photography school, he then decided to pursue a career in cooking, posting a number of cringeworthy videos, proudly telling his followers how to make a jacket potato and beans.
Claiming Nicola - who has been defended by pals, saying she's just 'protecting' Brooklyn from his parents - was the 'brains' behind the operation, the insider said: "It made money and Nicola would have been encouraging him."
Indeed, Brooklyn praised his wife for helping him come up with his latest plan to launch his Cloud hot sauce. Taking to Instagram, gushing about his bride, he said Nicola mused one evening 'while they were sharing a bottle of wine in the kitchen': "You like hot sauce and you like design - why don't you make a hot sauce?"

Claiming David and Victoria are "embarrassed" by the whole 'nepo baby' tag, the source said: "There doesn't seem much of a desire to get a proper career. The Beckhams hate the whole 'nepo' label... this recent stuff is a bit embarrassing."
Brooklyn is yet to comment on the fierce feud within the family that shows no signs of abating. He didn't comment on David's fishing trip post in which the England star, joined by other sons Romeo and Cruz, told 'Buster' how much he missed him.
There are reports that Brooklyn and Romeo are at loggerheads over Romeo's girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who was romantically linked to Brooklyn back in 2016.

And regarding Nicola, it seems her plans for her husband are just getting started, with the insider concluding: "Nicola loves having Brooklyn at her side and she loves him very much. But he is also very useful."

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz hire Meghan Markle's lawyer amid family feud

Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have reportedly hired the lawyers who represent Meghan Markle and Prince Harry amid ongoing family feud with his family Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly felt compelled to instruct Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's lawyer in a bid to protect their reputations amid their ongoing family feud. Brooklyn, 26 and Nicola, 30, have been notably absent from milestone family gatherings over recent months amid a feud that reportedly stemmed from tension between his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. According to reports relations between Nicola and his parents were at an all time low during their wedding planning. Four months after Nicola's wedding, she told Vanity Fair that Victoria let her down a few months "down the line" when she realised her "atelier couldn't do it [make the dress]." ‌ And so instead, she opted for a Valentino gown. Adding further fuel to the fire, the couple was a no show at David's recent 50th birthday celebrations. ‌ So now, it has been claimed that they have hired top solicitor Jenny Afia to help with "reputation management." The British solicitor works for the legal firm Schillings and was seen commenting on the documentary titled The Princes And The Press. A source told the Mail on Sunday: "All of a sudden, they have enlisted the help of the Sussexes' long-serving lawyer. Nicola and Brooklyn are getting fed up of stories running they don't like. Nicola likes to control everything, and they have taken this rather drastic action." ‌ They added: "For the Beckhams, the irony isn't lost. They fell out with Meghan and Harry after they accused them of leaking stories – they were furious, and Brooklyn knows that. The two couples are very close indeed." The feud between Nicola and Brooklyn's parents doesn't not appear to be ending any time soon if his post about being loyal to his wife is anything to go by. Brooklyn shared a video with fans of the pair on the back of his motorbike as they rode through southern California. ‌ He told his wife, who is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby." Nicola has been accused of being controlling. A separate source told The Sun: "She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre." In a bid to balance out the scales, Nicola's friends have since stepped forward. One told the Mirror: "She is not isolating him [Brooklyn] at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family." The Mirror approached Nicola and Brooklyn's spokesperson for comment.

Ncuti Gatwa shares emotional post after leaving Doctor Who

Gatwa's 15th Doctor regenerated in Saturday's finale (May 31), and regenerated into the returning Billie Piper. In a statement provided by the BBC, the Scottish-Rwandan actor said the "journey has been one that I will never forget". Now, he has shared a social media post thanking co-stars Millie Gibson and Varada Sethu. Gatwa regenerating in his final episode of Doctor Who (Image: BBC Studios/Bad Wolf/PA) Gibson played Ruby Sunday and was the main companion in Gatwa's first series as the 15th Doctor. Her character appeared less frequently in the second series, with Varada Sethu's Belinda Chandra taking the mantle as the new companion. Taking to Instagram, Gatwa shared a picture of the trio, and said: "Three queens of the sky, "Twas an experience like no other and thank God we were by eachothers side. "There aren't quite the words for how much you both mean to me but I am so grateful I got the opportunity to work, learn from and laugh with you both everyday. "You're both just simply incredible and it has been nothing short of a blessing to share this journey with both of you. A post shared by Ncuti Gatwa (@ncutigatwa) "Ruby Sunday and Belinda Chandra will live in mine and the Whoniverse hearts forever. "Also shout out to the CAPTAIN of all 15's companions. Captain Poppy. Ultimate top dog of this season! (lil Sienna brought so much life and magic to us all on set ) I love you guys. We did it." It was the first of two Instagram posts Gatwa has shared since his exit. The second was a picture of himself in the TARDIS, with the caption: "Monsters, goblins, gods, human-eating Slugs, invisible brain-altering creatures, evil barbers, conspiracy theorists… you've had quite a busy two years. Well done and rest up son. "@bbcdoctorwho @disneydoctorwho @russelltdavies63 @bad_wolf_tv Thank you endlessly. XV." In a statement released by the BBC, on his decision to leave, Gatwa said:'You know when you get cast, at some point you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. 'This journey has been one that I will never forget, and a role that will be part of me forever. "There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe. 'I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. "I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor.' After Gatwa's exit, the 15th Doctor is seen regenerating into Billie Piper. Piper, 42, first appeared in the series as the companion to the Ninth Doctor in 2005, playing Rose Tyler alongside Christopher Eccleston's Time Lord. She stayed on and was the companion to the 10th Doctor, played by David Tennant. However, despite her introduction on the show, it has not been confirmed she is the 16th Doctor. Some fans are also not convinced, with the end credits reading: "And introducing Billie Piper." Many compared this to when Ncuti Gatwa was introduced as the 15th Doctor, when it read: "And introducing Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor." Previous actors have also received similar credit introductions. "Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor" "Jodie Whittaker as The Doctor" "And introducing Billie Piper" ...but NO "as The Doctor" I FIND THAT VERY SUS. One said on X (formerly Twitter): "Billie Piper wasn't introduced as the Doctor, and this year was the 20th anniversary of Series 1... There's definitely more to this..." Another said: "She's clearly not the Doctor but some Bad Wolf shenanigans." Fueling speculation on her role in the show, Doctor Who TV simply says: "But just how and why she is back remains to be seen…" Recommended reading: On her return, Piper said: 'It's no secret how much I love this show, and I have always said I would love to return to the Whoniverse as I have some of my best memories there, so to be given the opportunity to step back on that Tardis one more time was just something I couldn't refuse, but who, how, why and when, you'll just have to wait and see.' Shortly after the finale aired, the actress shared a post on Instagram holding a rose with the caption that read: 'A rose is a rose is a rose !!!' If she is confirmed as The Doctor, Piper will be the second after Jody Whittaker's 13th Doctor.
