The eagerly-awaited triple-threat match between Styles, Americano, and Punk saw the 'masked luchador' give a good account of himself as he held his own against the veterans. He even applied the ankle lock to 'The Phenomenal One'. Punk and Styles too made their presence felt.
'The Best in the world' virtually had the match won when he hit Americano with the GTS but Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, his foes, interfered. This forced Jey Uso and Sami Zayn to make the save. Styles soon took out everyone with a dive and then went for the 'phenomenal forearm on Americano, who hit him with a 'loaded' headbutt and got the three count. He now joins Solo Sikoa, Andrade, LA Knight, Seth Rollins, and Penta in the marquee match.
