Outlander fans cause frenzy with wild theories about final episode
Fans really got tongues wagging in the comments section of Outlander's latest post.
We don't know about any other Outlander fans but we are counting down the days until prequel Blood of My Blood airs to finally get our Scottish time-travelling fix after a long 'Droughtlander'.
Despite the last ever series of Outlander having already been filmed, a release day has yet to be announced. However, to give us all something to talk about for now, the official Outlander Instagram page asked fans for their input on their craziest show theories and characters they 'hate to love'.
They posted: "I'm bored. Comment your hottest Outlander take. I'm not talking about "Jamie is better than Frank", I'm talking your unhinged theories, characters you hate to love, the craziest thing you'd do for Outlander."
And thousands of fans flocked to the comments to discuss some 'Outlandish' theories.
The first comment really got some talking about the relationship between Claire Fraser and her son-in-law Roger MacKenzie, they said: "I think the book Roger definitely has a crush on Claire." To this comment, one replied: "Now this is a hot take."
Richard Rankin, who plays Roger in the show, also replied to the comment, saying: "I think the TV does too tbh."
One said: "Always thought he was just so in awe of her!"
Another comment had many fans shook, which discussed the 'forget me not' flowers that Claire was picking when she first accidentally went through the stone. The fan wrote: "I believe Jamie planted the forget me nots by the stones to ensure Claire would come back to him from the future."
A fan replied: " What?? That's amazing!!! I love that take!" Another said: "I have always had the same theory! Great minds!"
While on disagreed and shared their theory, they said: "I think Frank did. In the book he actually places a tombstone/memorial for Jamie so Claire can find it."
Talk then turned to one of the most memorable scenes in Outlander, back in season one when Claire is being watched through the window at her B&B by a Highlander in a kilt in Inverness - believed to be Jamie's 'ghost'.
In that first episode, Frank Randall spotted the mystery man watching his wife get undressed at the window of her hotel room. As he went to confront the man, he disappeared.
Discussing the moment that has remained a mystery for years, one fan wrote: "Jamie's ghost is waiting for Claire on Samhain every year until she dies and when she dies, she comes to Jamie at the statue in Inverness where he has waited patiently and she is young and he is young and they embrace and walk away up into the highlands of Scotland and fade into the mist. The end. We got the 'happily' all through 8 seasons and the last scene is the 'ever after'.
Other fans loved this theory. As one penned: "this give Titanic vibes! I love it!!!"

Jamie Laing confesses he had no idea how getting pregnant worked
Jamie Laing made a very honest confession about his lack of knowledge when it comes to pregnancy. Jamie, 36 and his wife, Sophie Habboo, 30 are currently expecting their first child and announced the happy news at the beginning of the month. The couple has been flooded with support from fans and has shared updates about their pregnancy, including some sweet images of Sophie's growing baby bump. On their joint podcast, the couple spoke about their conception journey as Jamie confessed to being slightly less knowledgeable when it came to the ins and outs of conceiving a child. Jamie revealed on his podcast that he was getting numerous sperm checks in the lead up to conceiving, but was slightly clueless about how conception happened. 'Turns out I had no idea about this. I honestly thought for the whole of my life right? That I was walking around with a loaded gun.' Sophie immediately said his phrase was a 'rank description' as he continued to say he thought his penis was a 'loaded gun full of semen'. 'I thought it was easy to get anyone pregnant, like so easy,' he said. Sophie added that he was 'thick' when it came to speaking about fertility and revealed that he wanted to try for a baby even when she was on her period. He added that he had no idea that women could only get pregnant on just one day of the month. This podcast episode comes as the couple rebrands their podcast, NewlyWeds to NearlyParents. In a press release about the change Sophie said: 'I'm so excited for this next chapter of our podcast, and of our lives! I feel like NewlyWeds has always been about sharing the real, messy, and wonderful parts of our relationship, and now we get to do the same as we start our family. It feels so special to bring our listeners along for the ride. Jamie added: I can't wait to share this chapter of our lives with you – and to have a whole new bunch of hilarious stories to share! More Trending 'NearlyParents is going to be all about the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens of not only becoming parents, but how we also navigate everything life throws at us in between!' In the video, Sophie was lying on a hospital bed and smiling at Jamie, who asked how she was feeling and said, 'Oh my god.' The pair then saw the scan and Jamie could be heard saying, 'Are you kidding me?' The camera then panned to an excited Sophie listening to the heartbeat. Got a story? Theatre reviews: Nan Shepherd: Naked and Unashamed

Nan Shepherd – Naked and Unashamed, Pitlochry Festival Theatre ★★★★ Meme Girls, Oran Mor, Glasgow ★★★★ Since she first appeared on a Scottish £5 banknote in 2016, interest in the 20th-century Scottish writer Nan Shepherd has soared. Her restoration to national fame, almost 90 years after the success of her first novel The Quarry Wood, turned out to be timely, as readers began to rediscover both her passionate connection with a natural world now increasingly under threat, and the story of her life as a young woman in a male-dominated literary world. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Susan Coyle and Adam Buksh in Nan Shepherd Naked and Unashamed – Photo by Tommy Ga-Ken Wan It was therefore a fine moment, last year, for Firebrand Theatre and Pitlochry Festival Theatre to launch their studio show Nan Shepherd – Naked And Unashamed. Co-written by Firebrand founders Ellie Zeegen and Richard Baron, the play features just two actors, and offers an 80-minute journey through Nan Shepherd's life in flashback form. When it appeared at Pitlochry in 2024, it attracted such a strong positive response that it has now been revived, with a new cast, for another short studio run. Sign up to our FREE Arts & Culture newsletter at So this year, actors Susan Coyle and Adam Buksh lead us through Nan's story, settling briefly in 1981, the year of her death, before leading us through some key turning points in her life, including her early success as part of a radical literary generation that also included Neil Gunn, Hugh MacDiarmid and Lewis Grassic Gibbon. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad In a sense, the sheer popularity and emotional power of Baron and Zeegen's play is difficult to analyse; the play sometimes seems almost more like a lecture than a piece of drama, as – in fairly traditional style – it packs in a tremendous amount of information about this remarkable woman, and the age of war and cultural radicalism through which she lived. Yet there's something about the play's insistent loving care for a neglected part of Scotland's cultural history, and about the open, shining character of Nan herself, that makes this tale of her struggles and successes both deeply absorbing and profoundly touching, not least in its tender use of a now old-fashioned form of middle-class Scots. And in this new staging, both Coyle as Nan, and Buksh as all the men who cross her path, deliver the story with impressive skill and passion; with Coyle's Nan truly touching the heart, as a woman of sparkling wit and joy whose sense of humour endured to the last, and who now – in a final irony – finds herself immortalised on our banknotes in a 'Nordic princess' pose she adopted for a laugh, using a discarded strip of film, during what she intended as a much more serious photo-shoot. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Meme Girls Andy McGregor's latest Play, Pie And Pint mini-musical also involves a generation of young Scottish women struggling for creative expression; but in Meme Girls, the time is now, and the play features two teenage heroines growing up in the Clyde coast town of Largs. Jade is a doctor's daughter with a real gift for songwriting, while bestie Clare has had a much tougher life; and together, they begin to navigate the world of online media, performing Jade's songs, and trying to build up a following on YouTube. Their work fails to go viral, though; and after a wild night at a party leads to Clare achieving an instant online fame that has nothing to do with music, their creative and personal relationship begins to fall apart.
