Prince Harry denies physical altercation with Prince Andrew amid new biography revelations

Daily Mirror5 days ago
A representative for the Duke of Sussex has spoken out against claims made in a new unauthorised biography about Prince Andrew, which alleges the royals have a fraught relationship
The Duke of Sussex has categorically denied claims that he was involved in a physical altercation with Prince Andrew, dismissing the shocking allegations made in a new biography about the scandal-hit Royal.

Following the release of the book titled Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which insinuates that the brothers-in-law had a fight at a family gathering in 2013, a spokesperson for Prince Harry responded to PEOPLE, stating: "I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry,".

The book by Lownie, portions of which were featured in the Daily Mail, portrays Prince Andrew as a divisive character within the Royal family.

It delves into his alleged connections with Jeffrey Epstein and suggests that his relationships with nephews Prince Harry and Prince William have become increasingly tense over the years.
The book alleges that Prince William has privately advocated for Andrew's eviction from Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate where the Duke of York currently resides with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, reports the Mirror US.
The biography asserts that William has "long harboured" disdain for both Andrew and Ferguson, whom he reportedly views as out of sync with the future direction of the Royal household.

The allegations emerge amidst ongoing public scrutiny and internal tensions within the Royal family, especially after Harry and Meghan's bombshell 2020 departure as senior royals to start a new life in California.
Now settled in Montecito, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are busy raising their young brood, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, while dedicating themselves to charitable work and media endeavours.
Despite the stormy waters with his kin, Harry hasn't given up on mending fences, telling the BBC in May: "I would love reconciliation with my family," and adding, "There's no point in continuing to fight anymore."

On the other side of the pond, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were captured in a seldom-seen family moment along the sunny shores of California.
TMZ released snaps on August 1 showing the Sussexes unwinding at Santa Claus Beach in Carpinteria, where they watched their eldest, Prince Archie, catch some waves during a surf lesson.
Meghan was the epitome of beach chic in a crisp white shirt paired with frayed denim shorts and a stylish straw hat, complemented by large black shades.
Prince Harry opted for a laid-back look, donning a grey tee, black sports shorts, and aviator sunglasses, all topped off with a beige baseball cap.

Wednesday star Percy Hynes White has very ordinary new job after sex assault allegations got him cancelled

Axed Wednesday star Percy Hynes White has a very normal new job almost two years after he was dropped from the hit show amid sexual assault allegations. Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in the Netflix show's first season, was written out after he was accused of purposefully getting women drunk at a Toronto party he hosted so he could have sex with them. Hynes White adamantly denied all the allegations, branding them a 'campaign of misinformation.' As season two gets underway without him, the actor, 23, was seen working the door at a Santa Monica bar this week. A smiling Hynes White checked IDs, manned the velvet rope and greeted guests on the night. Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Hynes White for comment and has yet to hear back. Hynes White had been a rising star – with notable appearances in The Twilight Zone and The Gifted – before the allegations emerged in a now-deleted Tweet posted by an anonymous social media user on January 18 2023. The poster claimed she had been sexually assaulted by the actor at a party he was hosting and accused him of throwing the bash with the intention of getting women drunk enough to get them to have sex with him. 'Percy is wonderful young man, that's the truth,' an insider told Daily Mail at the time. 'He never took part in any of the false claims again him, which were on Twitter and never followed up or substantiated. 'Percy is respectful, gracious, talented actor, a true professional. He's unfailingly polite to all, including the crew and his fans, most of whom are loyal to him as it should be. 'For Netflix to drop him from the show is a disgrace. It was just false rumors. It's just not right.' In June 2023 he issued a statement regarding the since-deleted anonymous social media posts from that past January. In his impassioned post, he wrote: 'Earlier this year, somebody I've never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online. Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats. Underage photos of me were used, and examples of me acting in character were presented as hateful.' The actor took to his Instagram Story last year to repost a cast photo and wrote a caption about how he would be tuning in to the upcoming season He then went on about how one of his friends was 'falsely portrayed as a victim' and condemned the 'baseless, harmful claims.' In September 2023 Daily Mail exclusively revealed he had been axed from the show. Even though he would not be returning to Wednesday, he does have other projects in the pipeline, including teen horror film Whistle. Ortega — who is starring in the upcoming, highly anticipated Beetlejuice sequel — will be returning as Wednesday Addams. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis Nyawo will be upped to series regulars for the upcoming season. Zeta-Jones plays Wednesday's mother Morticia while Guzmán plays father Gomez and Ordonez plays little brother Pugsley. Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be returning. Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane will be making appearances in guest roles. Other new series regulars will include Billie Piper (Scoop), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (The Handmaid's Tale) and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime). , and Thandiwe Newton was recently cast for a guest star role. Naomi J. Ogawa is exiting the series, according to Deadline.

Prince William 'insists he's addressed in one way and one way only'

More info The British public appears to be harbouring resentment towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with one Royal expert suggesting "it will go on as long as the Palace wants it to." With rumours of a potential meeting between Harry and King Charles in September, it seems the Palace might be softening its stance slightly, indicating room for reconciliation. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that Prince William is ready to welcome Harry back with open arms. According to Ian Pelham Turner, it's not just Harry who's facing criticism. He claims that William has insisted his staff address him as "Sir,". The former Royal photographer commented, "There's something going on with William." We had the opportunity to chat with Mr. Pelham Turner via Zoom. His career at the Palace overlapped with both Princess Diana and the then Prince Charles, and he transitioned from photography to television while maintaining a keen interest in the Royal Family, reports the Mirror US. As part of the media circle covering the royals, Pelham Turner shared his insider knowledge, revealing that there have been complaints about the Prince of Wales from his employees. Claims about Prince William. Despite presenting a gentle image during Royal engagements, behind closed doors, it seems William may be less affable. The Royal commentator stated: "Now, for me, we hear a lot more now that more and more allegations, and that's all that you can say about William, are coming out." He added: "It's coming out that his staff find him, at times, very aggressive, and I know one of his many supporters, for his housing charity, and this guy is a volunteer, and he was telling me that William is constantly on to him all day, all night, saying, 'How much money have we made? How much money have we made?'". Beyond being aggressive, Pelham Turner claims William's demeanour has shifted, noting that whilst he was relaxed during his twenties and thirties, now in his forties with his sights set on the throne, he has become considerably more formal, demanding people address him as "Sir," rather than using his first name. "From what we hear, there's been a subtle change in William, anyway, in the past, when Harry was around, and they were in their twenties and their thirties, they could always be addressed as William and Harry, now he doesn't allow that, he wants to be addressed as 'Sir.'". Staff members say he's 'aggressive'. Harry and Charles' representatives held a face-to-face meeting in London recently, and it's being reported this marked the initial step towards a potential reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, particularly King Charles. However, there was no representation for William, which Pelham Turner found rather significant. He said: "I thought it was very poignant that none of William's team was at that meeting, and I think that picture was more a picture to William than it was to the rest of the world." Harry's two representatives and Charles's representative were spotted on the balcony of a restaurant, a move which Pelham Turner believes was intentional to send a message to William that this is happening, whether he's involved or not.
