Manushi Chhillar Inaugurated IMC Ladies Wing's Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition 2025
The 38th edition of Mumbai's highly anticipated annual showcase, IMC Ladies Wing's Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition, dazzled the city with its blend of creativity, commerce, and purpose. Organized by the Ladies' Wing of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event reaffirmed its status as the premier platform for discovering India's finest women-led brands.
Coinciding with the festive season, this vibrant platform brought together 286 remarkable women entrepreneurs from 31 cities, many of whom had no previous retail presence. They unveiled inspired creations spanning gourmet food, high fashion, lifestyle design, artisanal craft, and sustainable innovation. Paying tribute to India's rich heritage, the exhibition showcased master artisans and traditional weavers from remote areas, alongside handcrafted products from NGOs in Siliguri, Ganeshpuri (Palghar), Sujangarh, and Shekhawati, each preserving age-old techniques with pride and integrity.
The inaugural function on August 10, was attended by Bollywood actor Manushi Chhillar, who joined Rajyalakshmi Rao, President of IMC Ladies' Wing; Kalpana Shah, Chairperson of the Exhibition Committee; Juveca Panda Chheda, Co-Chairperson; and distinguished Exhibition committee members, along with special guests Zarine Khan and Madhoo Shah.
Speaking at the event, Manushi Chhillar remarked, 'This is not just an exhibition — it's a celebration of women who dare to dream and work relentlessly to make those dreams come true. What I love most about women entrepreneurs is that they build with empathy, purpose, and heart, setting an example for young girls like me to believe in the possibilities of their dreams."
Rajyalakshmi Rao shared, 'My presidential theme this year, Evolve to Excel, beautifully captures the spirit of the event — it's a call to action for every woman to embrace change, take on challenges, and move forward with confidence and courage."
Kalpana Shah introduced this year's theme — Raja Ravi Varma — celebrating the legendary artist's depiction of women as graceful and empowered. The ceremony began with the national anthem and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt letter from Kokilaben Ambani, read by Juveca Panda Chheda, extending her warm wishes to all participants.
Talking about the event, Chheda also said, 'We have planned a lot of special things and one of the them we're all very passionate about is that this year we've taken sustainability very seriously. So, everything that you'll see in terms of the decor, we have used sustainable alternatives, which are plastic free. We are powering the whole event with green energy. We're also composting all the wet waste from the event, so less of that ends up in the landfill and all the plastic bottles that are used and disposed here will also be recycled. We're trying to be as green as possible and reduce our carbon footprint this year. We want everyone to shop, but also be conscious at the same time about the planet."
Throughout the day, the exhibition was graced by prominent personalities including Rashmi Thackeray, Sunita Kapoor, Poonam Sinha, Poonam Dhillon, and many more, adding to the event's glitter and significance.
With applications for the next edition already pouring in, the Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition continues to thrive not just as an event but as a movement — propelling women-led innovation and enterprise across India.

Fatima Sana Shaikh To Launch The 38th IMC Ladies' Wing Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition
Last Updated: The IMC Ladies' Wing Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition returns for its 38th edition on August 10 and 11 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. In Mumbai this August, shopping will be more than just retail therapy – it will be a journey through India's heritage, global craftsmanship, and the unstoppable spirit of women entrepreneurs. On August 10 and 11, 2025, the IMC Ladies' Wing Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition returns for its 38th edition, taking over the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai with a dazzling showcase of creativity. Since its inception in 1987, this platform has championed women-led businesses, and this year promises to be its most vibrant celebration yet. Adding extra sparkle, actor Fatima Sana Shaikh will attend as Chief Guest, lending her voice to a cause that blends enterprise with empowerment. Over 280 women entrepreneurs from 31 cities across India will bring together a finely curated mix of fashion, lifestyle, craft, cuisine, and sustainable innovation. The line-up spans the spectrum: from handwoven heirlooms by master artisans in remote villages, to chic contemporary labels redefining urban style. 'Our exhibition reflects the unstoppable momentum of women-led businesses in India," says Rajyalakshmi Rao, President, IMC Ladies' Wing. 'It is a vibrant tapestry of talent, vision, and determination — and we are proud to provide a platform that amplifies these voices and fuels their journey." The event's Afra Lounge will debut this year, spotlighting women entrepreneurs from around the globe – many showcasing in India for the very first time. This infusion of international creativity will complement the rich tapestry of Indian heritage on display. The exhibition isn't just about beauty; it's about meaning. NGOs from Siliguri, Ganeshpuri (Palghar), Sujangarh, and Shekhawati will present handcrafted treasures that preserve centuries-old techniques. Expect intricate weaves, eco-printed textiles, and vegan, eco-conscious brands that speak to today's sustainability-driven shopper. 'Sustainability is a central theme this year, with a strong presence of vegan and eco-conscious brands, eco-printed textiles, and an environmentally conscious event design that integrates renewable energy, recycling and responsible waste management", shares Juveca Panda Chheda, Co-Chairperson of the Exhibition Committee. Beyond the stalls, the culinary section will be a passport to India's diverse kitchens: think seasonal delicacies from Himachal Pradesh, aromatic spices from the South, and unexpected regional treats waiting to be discovered. This year's visual moodboard draws from the legendary Raja Ravi Varma, whose evocative portraits of Indian womanhood mirror the spirit of the women behind these ventures – expressive, empowered, and visionary. Whether you're hunting for your next festive season statement piece, a meaningful gift, or a taste of India's artistry, this is where you'll find it. The 38th edition of the IMC Ladies' Wing Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition will be happening on August 10 and 11, at Jio World Centre.
