
2 booked for making reel of stunt on auto rickshaw in Navi Mumbai
Abasaheb Patil, senior inspector of Turbhe informed that, the duo accused identified as Shamshud Ahmed (27) is a mechanic who performed the stunt by sitting atop the auto rickshaw without the driver while the auto driver Akshay Dhotre (26) made the reel. We learnt about the stunt after it was posted on Instagram by the accused.
From the auto rickshaw's registration number, the duo accused were traced and detained. They were booked under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash or negligent driving or riding on a public way, act endangering human life or personal safety and abetment along with Motor Vehicle Act for dangerous driving.
They have been served with a notice under Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. The duo accused apologised for performing such stunt, promised that they won't repeat it and appealed to others not to perform such stunts to avoid legal action.

Govt employee ends life by inhaling LPG; online gaming debt suspected in Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL: A 35-year-old peon with the Sports and Youth Welfare Department allegedly committed suicide by inhaling LPG gas at his rented home in Harda on Saturday night. Police suspect he was under heavy debt linked to online gaming. The deceased, Laxminarayan Kewat, was found around 9.30 pm with a domestic cylinder placed beside him, its regulator open and the rubber pipe in his mouth. Police said the body had stiffened from the strong effect of the gas. No suicide note was recovered. Originally from Bhopal, Kewat had been posted in Harda for the past three years after a transfer from Sehore in 2021. He lived with his wife and five-year-old daughter, though they were away at his wife's parental home when the incident occurred. His elder brother told police that Kewat was reeling under debts of several lakhs and was harassed by creditors. Office colleagues said he was addicted to online gaming. Three Class VI students in Shimla have gone missing; Parents receive threatening calls from US number
CHANDIGARH: Three Class VI students of one of the country's most prestigious and oldest boarding schools in Shimla have gone missing since yesterday when they went out for their regular weekly outing. The parents allegedly received threatening calls from a US-based number. Sources said the three missing students have been identified as Vedansh Bharti from Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, Angad Lather from Karnal in Haryana, and Hitender Singh from Mohali in Punjab. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the New Shimla Police Station on charges of kidnapping of minor children under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A police official said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint submitted by the school principal, in which he stated that the three students had moved out of the school on the outing day towards Mall Road in Shimla but did not return before the scheduled time. The boys left the school at 12.09 pm on Saturday and did not return by 5 pm.
