Game On, which is available now on Youtube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, airs every Friday and this week Michael Gannon and Graeme Young debate passionately about the big talking points with Davide Ancelotti going Brazil rather than Ibrox, Celtic hunting for transfer quality, Jimmy Thelin feeling the heat in Aberdeen and the Rangers takeove r plans for Ibrox.

Name a potential Celtic transfer that would make the champions better?
Graeme Young:"Josh Brownhill, Burnley, a free agent and if Reo Hatate leaves, he is that third midfielder, par excellence, he really can cut it. This has been his best season in terms of goals, with 18 in the Championship.
"That is the selling point of him as a free agent, it's working for Real Madrid every summer, picking off prized free agents, obviously paying them big wages. He is the type of player who would fit the way Rodgers plays. He has been linked with those lower half teams but I think Celtic are a selling point for guys who have spent their careers in England.
"There is Champions League at Celtic, if they get through the playoff, and I think it is a huge carrot."
Michael Gannon:"Some of the names from the January window are still bouncing around, there was talk about David Strelec.
"That still won't go away, he is a big strong striker and is still scoring goals. He was banging them in during the first half of the season, I think he had his heart set on coming to Celtic in January, It didn't quite work out in terms of the cost. But he kept his head down and he is still banging in the goals.

"I think that is an interesting one because they needed a striker."
Is it time for Rangers to think about expanding Ibrox?
Graeme:"The answer from Patrick Stewart was interesting. He had to be non-committal on an extension to Ibrox for the reason that the 49ers hadn't taken power yet. But as a perfect test case, Leeds United; 26,000 on their waiting list, the new stadium blueprint is out.
"I think that's big for the 49ers in their sphere and the NFL. They built Santa Clara, 49ers' mega stadium, but they got absolutely panned for this because where they've moved it to is outside San Francisco. That's been the big criticism, they've probably been chastened by that.

"Now they've got this template. Leeds are staying in situ, and the plans for that are very much about modernising it. That's the template for Ibrox."
Michael:"People want 60,000. It's the same at Celtic, they've got 10,000 on the waiting list so they want it to 70 or 80,000. The problem with Celtic and Rangers is supply and demand.
"These clubs are built on the money that comes in from season books. So if you make Celtic Park or Ibrox 80,000, you're not going to get that every week. The danger is you then create supply that outstrips demand, and fans then might think 'I'm not going to buy a season ticket, I'm just going to pick and choose my games.'
"That's what they cannot afford to do. They need to have that demand, they need to fill it out before a ball is kicked. They need the season book money in June or July to fund the transfer market and wages for the rest of the season."

Scoring on my Rangers debut felt like a dream but it's a current Celtic hero who has really helped kickstart my career

One former Gers academy graduate has played in two different countries outside of Scotland since his departure two years ago Former Rangers youth prospect Robbie Ure achieved the dream of every Ibrox supporter by scoring within nine minutes of his debut for his boyhood club. But the striker knew deep down that he would have to seek his fortune elsewhere in order to forge a real career for himself. ‌ After rising through the youth, Ure went onto feature three times for Gers at first team level after being handed a debut by Gio van Bronckhorst in a League Cup clash against Queen of the South in August 2022, marking the occasion with a debut goal with less than 10 minutes on the clock. ‌ However, less than a year later, the now 21-year-old turned down a contract extension in Govan in order to pursue opportunities on the continent. In September 2023, Belgian giants Anderlecht came calling, where the former Scotland international became a teammate of current Celtic stopper Kasper Schmeichel. And while Ure would go onto make just one first team outing for the Brussels side, he has lavished praise on Schmeichel for giving him the confidence to really go out there and show what he would do. Back in March, Ure landed a €750,000 (£632,800) transfer to Swedish top tier club Sirius and has made a fine start to life in Scanandavia, registering five goals and three assists in his first 12 appearances. And the Glasgow-born striker has revealed he has struck up a bit of a friendship with Denmark hero Schmeichel, who he congratulated on his move to Glasgow's East End 12 months ago. Asked in an interview with The Herald about the teammates who have had the biggest impact on his career so far, Ure replied: "I have to say Kasper Schmeichel. "He made me feel really, really comfortable when I was with the first team. He was such a nice person, so easy to talk to. He would speak to you about everything. ‌ "He was really good with me, and he would also tell me to keep going and that you've got a real chance here. Just work hard every day and you can see what can happen. "Kasper was someone that really made me feel comfortable when I was with the group and someone that I really appreciate. "I sent him a message when he went to Celtic, but I don't want to say what I said! But he just always says, it is what it is! ‌ "But I really appreciated his time. He's such a really good guy and he's got time for everyone. I really appreciate him." Ure has seen the likes of Scott McTominay, Lewis Ferguson and Max Johnston reach new heights after swapping Scotland for the continent in recent years and hopes he can follow a similar path that could maybe lead to a senior Scotland call-up. ‌ 'You look at some of the names that have done it and are doing really, really well", he added. "Max Johnston obviously in Austria has got himself into the Scotland A squad now. "The evidence is there that there's a lot of talent in Scotland and they can go abroad and really do well and become a better player. I would really recommend it. "My ambition is just to improve every day and if these things come then that's obviously great. I'm a young player and my full focus is on Sirius and trying to help them, and trying to make sure that I'm improving myself as a player, but also as a team, and scoring and assisting as much as possible. "It would be obviously great to catch the eye of Steve Clarke, but as I say, if that came it would be great."

Celtic Treble hero told to find a NEW CLUB by his international boss as he demands positional change

Injuries have hampered the 27-year-old's Brentford career since then however. Ajer has been playing out of position when he has been fit in recent times, with manager Thomas Frank using the six-foot-five Norway international as a right-back. Ståle Solbakken, manager of the Norway national team, has told Ajer he needs to leave Brentford and England if he wants to improve. He told NRK: "He can be a very good and stable centre-back, and he was today, but he has to change clubs. "He cannot play right-back in every third game if he is to be a proper, safe and good centre-back. Because he has all the prerequisites. 'I think Ajer would have been better suited to playing centre-back in another league. "He has had some tough injuries in England. He will never be a super right-back, at the same level he is as a centre-back. "At the age he is now, I think he is allowed to put his foot down. You can't be a 'cover' right-back at his age now." Ajer has played less than half of the minutes available to him this season with Brentford. Celtic ace Vakoun Bayo dances for his team-mates but Kristoffer Ajer isn't impressed He was originally a midfielder in his early days at Celtic, but matured into a fine central defender for the Hoops. Ajer won three league titles, and the same amount of Scottish Cups and Scottish League Cups during his time in Hoops as he won the treble-treble. He netted the Hoops a whopping £13.5million transfer fee when he left for the Bees. Manager Thomas Frank looks set for Spurs after the sacking of another ex-Celt, Ange Postecoglu, with the Aussie linked with the Brentford job. Whoever takes the job will likely have a fight to keep Ajer at the club. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
