Dua Lipa puts on stylish display in casual outfit hours before stealing the show in black mini dress on the red carpet

Daily Mail30-04-2025

Dua Lipa looked effortlessly stylish in a casual outfit as she stepped out in sunny New York on Monday afternoon.
The 29-year-old pop icon wore a laid back yet polished outfit featuring a baggy light blue shirt teamed with a pair of wide-leg navy trousers.
On her feet she donned a set of leopard-print heels to match with her over-the-shoulder bag, which featured a tinge of gold.
The One Kiss singer let her her hair down for the afternoon and accessorised with a set of black sunglasses and, of course, her 18 carat gold, £25,000 engagement ring.
Dua had been in New York on Monday for the 50th Chaplin Award Gala, which she attended later in the day.
And her outfit for the evening certainly didn't disappoint.
Dua looked as sensational as ever in a sheer black mesh dress featuring cut-out sections as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.
She boosted her height with strappy shiny black heels and accessorised her look perfectly with a huge gold necklace.
The Levitating hitmaker wore her dark tresses in loose waves over her shoulders and opted for a bronzed makeup look.
The event at New York's the Lincoln Center had been put on to honour Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar, a friend of Dua's.
At the gala, which has honoured many of the film industry's most notable talents, Dua gave a speech in tribute to this year's recipient.
The singer has done a whole lot of jet setting of late and her trip to New York comes exactly a week after she took to Instagram to share snaps from her Easter vacation to Albania with fiancé Callum Tuner.
The compilation of photos included some racy snaps, including one where Dua showed off her flawless physique in a tiny red triangle bikini whilst soaking in the sun on the beach.
The One Kiss hitmaker wore her dark tresses in loose waves over her shoulders and opted for a bronzed makeup look
In others, Dua and Callum, 34, put on a loved-up display as they goofed around for a selfie together.
The pair are believed to have begun dating at the start of 2024, but only went public with their romance recently.
In December, the news was announced that Dua and Callum were engaged after he 'got down on one knee in a romantic proposal'.
It was recently revealed the ring, which Dua has worse since, seemingly boasts an elegant solitaire diamond with 18 karat gold band and could cost a whopping £25,000.
Anya Walsh, jewellery expert at 77 Diamonds, Europe's largest online diamond jeweller, told MailOnline: 'The ring seems to be either a classic solitaire diamond set on a large, gold band, in what seems to be 18 carat yellow gold. The slightly wider than average band gives the ring a confident, chunky feel'.
Anya added: 'Pricing always depends on the diamond's quality, but a high quality 2 carat diamond set on a classic wide band solitaire would cost around £20,000 to £25,000 at 77 Diamonds.'

Molly-Mae confesses to secret Tommy reunion struggle as duo enjoy staycation

Molly-Mae Hague has admitted there are certain parts of her newfound relationship with boxer and Love Island partner Tommy Fury that she is struggling to deal with Reality TV star Molly-Mae Hague has admitted there are parts of her rekindled romance with Tommy Fury that she is still struggling with. The former Love Island pair stunned fans last year when they announced their shock split after five years together. However, the parents of Bambi have decided to give love another go and went public recently after keeping their reunion under wraps. Since announcing they are back together, the family of three have enjoyed several sweet trips, including a staycation in the Cotswolds this weekend. ‌ But the Maebe founder has admitted it's not all smooth sailing. Speaking to her fans in her latest vlog update on YouTube, Molly-Mae confessed it has felt strange adjusting back to having their relationship in the open. ‌ She candidly discussed how she struggled on the family's recent trip to Disneyland Paris. She told the camera: "Disneyland was just like… I don't want to say not enjoyable, because we had a lovely time. Disneyland was just, we went at the wrong time.' Molly-Mae explained how the trio went to the park with loved ones during the school holidays. However, duo to their status, she revealed the family was constantly being filmed and photos being taken. Despite trying to play down the situation, she said she noticed a number of people snapping them without permission. And it was that which was the hardest part of the trip as they had their young daughter in tow, Molly admitted. She went on: "At Disneyland, when I was with Bambi, it's quite hard to navigate that. When you have a toddler, you're out with your partner, and there's already a little bit of a new thing that you're back out together, and you're trying to navigate that, and then you can see people looking and staring and filming." ‌ Molly-Mae added: "It was my birthday as well, and it was just like… kind of tricky to figure out if we were having boundaries, or there weren't any boundaries." She admitted the incident has meant she won't be rushing back to enjoy a family trip out in the open anytime soon. Despite saying "we should have known better," Molly said their newfound relationship's attention means they will "feel it more now". "It's just a bit like new territory," she said. "Because for people it's a bit like taboo, I don't know, but if people see us out, it's like 'oh, like let's film!' I don't know – I just think I maybe felt it a bit more this time." ‌ Over the weekend, Molly also shared a number of sweet snaps from their more intimate time away together in the Cotswolds. Posting to Instagram, Molly said: "This look is giving mum who's had approx 3 seconds to get ready." She then posted a photo taken at Aynhoe Park, a 17th-century country estate located at the boundaries of Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire - just next to the Cotswolds - and wrote "Restoration Hardware place is my heaven. Interior spam incoming." The mum-of-one continued to upload a series of images of the venue's luxurious interior, including two adorable photos of Bambi carrying a little pram while walking around the rooms. She also posted pictures of her favourite bedrooms and explained how her daughter put her baby doll to bed in every room of the building.

Family of Race Across The World's Sam Gardiner ‘overwhelmed' by support

The family of Race Across The World contestant Sam Gardiner have issued a message of thanks for the love and support following their son's death and also thanked people for donations to a fundraising campaign set up in his memory. The 24-year-old, who competed in the BBC One series alongside his mother Jo, died following a car crash last month. A JustGiving page launched in his memory by his family, in aid of National FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), has so far raised more than £10,000. His mother said: 'We have been overwhelmed by the tens of thousands of messages of love and support on social media and in comments to press reporting. 'We would like to thank the BBC, Studio Lambert and everyone at Race Across The World production, fellow contestants and fans of the show for all their support at this terrible time. It has been very comforting to know that Sam touched so many people. — Race Across The World (@RATW_official) June 1, 2025 'I have been particularly moved by all the messages that Sam was an inspiration to many who have been impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. 'We adopted Sam and he was diagnosed with FASD. As viewers of season two will recall, this was a big challenge both for Sam and for us as his parents. 'National FASD helped us on that journey. If some good comes of this tragedy, it will be that FASD is better understood.' Mr Gardiner was driving a white Volkswagen Golf R estate when it came off the road and rolled before landing on its side. The accident happened on the A34 in Gatley, near Cheadle, on Monday May 26 and he died on May 29 from his injuries, his family said last week. Broadcast in March 2020, Sam and Jo ventured across Mexico and Argentina as part of the second series of the BBC show. Mr Gardiner's father Andrew said: 'When the news broke last week, friends asked how they could help. View this post on Instagram A post shared by NationalFASD (@nationalfasd) 'After some thought, I decided to set up a JustGiving page to raise money for National FASD in memory of Sam. The page is called Sam Gardiner; Super Human. 'I set the target at £500 thinking a few friends might be generous enough to make a donation. So far it's raised 20 times that. It's very humbling to see the RATW family rally to this worthy cause.' The National Organisation for FASD says on its official website that it 'provides support to people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, their families and communities, campaigns to raise public awareness, and promotes relevant policies and practices'. The website also describes FASD as resulting 'when prenatal alcohol exposure affects the developing brain and body.. It says: 'FASD is a spectrum. Each person with FASD is affected differently. 'While more than 400 conditions can co-occur, FASD is at its core a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. All people with FASD have many strengths. Early diagnosis and appropriate support are essential, especially for executive functioning.' A message on the official National FASD Instagram account said: 'Sam lived his life full of love, exuberance and adventure as seen on BBC's Race Across the World. 'National FASD is both humbled and honoured to help carry on his legacy via donations coming from hundreds.'
