Betting offer for Cheltenham Festival: Enhanced odds

Telegraph12-03-2025

Trainer Willie Mullins had just one victory on day one of the Cheltenham Festival, in the first race, but was unlucky not to claim more with the last fence and hurdle proving troublesome.
That same result today, however, could result in £60 of free bets with Sky Bet as it is offering boosted odds of 60/1 for the current Champion trainer to have a winner on Wednesday at Cheltenham.
There is a maximum stake of £1 and the free bets will be paid as six £10 free bets to be used only on horse racing – a perfect amount to get you through the rest of the day, or maybe even the rest of the week. And if you are not a regular bettor on horses, do not worry as you have 30 days to spend your free bets.
If the bet loses, new customers will still receive £30 in free bets.
Mullins has every chance of a Cheltenham winner on Day 2
Today the trainer holds a strong hand with favourites in the first, second and final races among other promising runners.
While not a certainty, his favourite in the first, Final Demand, has been well found in the market and if he can prove he has the speed for this trip should take all the beating.
That first race was won last year by Willie Mullin's Ballyburn, who is the odds-on favourite in the next race, the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase. Ballyburn is being touted as a bit of a superstar so again it is hard to see him beaten today, as his odds reflect.
In the third race, Mullins has Bunting, who held an outside chance in last year's Supreme. He steps up in trip for today's handicap debut in the Coral Cup, but faces a big field and stiff competition. It looks like other horses are attracting shorter odds than him as the day goes on.
And in the final race of the day, Mullins holds all the cards with five runners, including the top three in the betting.

Spain priced at 4/9 to win the Nations League against Portugal - with underdogs valued at 13/8

Spain are the odds on favourites to win the Nations League on Sunday against Portugal out in Germany. Both sides - who have each won the competition once - won thrilling semi-finals, with Portugal coming out on top against Germany on Wednesday in a game that saw Cristiano Ronaldo bag the winner. A day later, Spain won a nine-goal classic against France, with Lamine Yamal netting twice and the victors clinging on after France had brought it back from 5-1. But the European champions are backed on the market to retain the title they won on penalties against Croatia two years ago. According to Sky Bet, Spain are 4/9 heavy favourites to lift the title in Munich. Portugal, meanwhile, can be backed at 13/8. In terms of the full time result, Spain are still odds on favourites at 17/20, while Portugal are valued at 11/4. If punters want to back a draw, that can be picked up at 14/5. To win the Nations League: Spain 4/9 Portugal 13/8 To win in full time: Spain 17/20 Portugal 11/4 Draw 14/5 All odds are correct at the time of publication

Genius ITV Racing pundit hits bookies for over £1MILLION with outrageous 8,249-1 Epsom Derby bet

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GENIUS ITV Racing pundit Kevin Blake helped punters hit the bookies for over £1MILLION - with his outrageous 8,249-1 tip. Race planner Blake - who a few years ago put up an 800-1 treble at Cheltenham Festival - somehow picked the first three home in the Derby. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 ITV Racing pundit Kevin Blake helped punters hit the bookies for over £1million with his unbelievable Epsom Derby bet Credit: PA With a load of the big guns failing, it was tough enough finding 13-2 winner Lambourn. But Blake tipped up the Aidan O'Brien-trained winner plus runner-up Tennessee Stud at 33-1 and third-place Lazy Griff at a monster 50-1 when speaking on ITV's The Opening Show. One odds compiler at Coral called the trixie - a bet where you pick the first three finishers in that exact order - the greatest punt he had seen in 25 years. It turned what was a winning race for the bookies into a huge losing one. And the firm's David Stevens said: "It may have been the threat of considerable rainfall that sparked the support for the proven stayer Lambourn, but even without a notable downpour, the Cheshire Vase winner controlled the race from start to finish, and an SP of 13-2 confirmed that he was not without support on the biggest betting day of the Flat season. "Whilst the winner alone was not the worst result in the Derby book though, further pain was inflicted by Kevin Blake, who incredibly put up the tricast on ITV's The Opening Show, an outcome that paid a whopping £8,294.72 for £1. "Plenty of viewers followed Kevin's advice, to our considerable cost." And Paddy Power's Paul Binfield said: "The actual result was fine as our traders thought that the winner was likely to hit the frame and, in addition, he was towards the bottom half of our field book. "However, an extra place on the race as well as Kevin Blake brilliantly tipping the tricast meant that it was a small losing contest for us." Commenting on the punt on the coverage, co-presenter Oli Bell said: "I've heard from the trading floor at Coral that they have lost over a million pounds on the tricast on your selections." While Blake said: "I was due one!" More to follow. Sean O'Malley to beat Merab Dvalishvili by TKO/KO is BOOSTED to 11/2 ahead of UFC 318 - as American star looks to avenge defeat last year

After months of build-up, Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili will meet inside the octagon once again on Saturday night. The UFC bantamweight stars faced off inside the cage back in September when Dvalishvili dethroned his American counterpart over a five-round contest at the Las Vegas Sphere. It marked the second professional defeat in O'Malley's mixed martial arts career and the American sensation has vowed that he's put in the work since then to avenge the defeat. With that in mind, Sky Bet are offering a Price Boost on O'Malley to re-claim his bantamweight title via TKO/KO with odds standing at 11/2 - previously 4/1. Dvalishvili, meanwhile, is priced at 4/11 to retain his title - which he since defended on one occasion against Umar Nurmagomedov back in January. The bookmakers have priced a TKO/KO win for the Georgian at 17/2. The last time he won via that method was against Marlon Moraes back in 2021. Sky Bet are offering the same odds for Dvalishvili to submit O'Malley - with the American given 22/1 odds to do the same to his rival.
