ITV confirms second series of The Assembly to air in 2026
Which celebrities will feature in The Assembly?
The names of the six new celebrities taking part are yet to be revealed, with the last series featuring Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Jade Thirlwall and Gary Lineker.
It was described as the 'warmest, funniest telly you'll watch this year' by The Guardian.
Meanwhile, The Independent called it 'the most groundbreaking TV show of the year', and it was hailed as 'extraordinary' by the Radio Times.
The series is produced by Rockerdale Studios, which said the same format will be repeated, where 'no question is off the table and no topic is out of bounds'.
When will series 2 of The Assembly air?
The second series is due to air on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player in 2026.
Katie Rawcliffe, director of entertainment and daytime commissioning at ITV, said: 'This really is ITV entertainment at its best: warm, funny, revealing and just that little bit mischievous.'
Stu Richards, of Rockerdale Studios, said: 'I cannot believe we're still getting away with this.
'The chance to make something that plays by almost none of the rules of normal telly is just such a ludicrous privilege. I'm absolutely buzzing to be honest.'

The show is an adaptation of the French series Les Rencontres du Papotin which has featured appearances from notable French figures, including President Emmanuel Macron, who was grilled about his marriage.
Last year, Welsh actor Michael Sheen appeared on the pilot which aired on the BBC where he was asked questions, including what it was like to date someone only five years older than his daughter and which two members of the royal family he would choose to swap out.
The show then moved to ITV for a full series. It now airs in 14 territories, including France, Canada, Australia and Brazil.

Pregnant Katherine Ryan 'dejected' at the thought of her baby being a boy
Pregnant comedian Katherine Ryan isn't exactly thrilled about the prospect of having a baby boy. The Canadian star, 42, is currently expecting her fourth child. She is already a proud mum of 16-year-old Violet and her children with Bobby Kootstra: son Fred, four, and daughter Fenna, two. However, she'd seemingly much prefer adding another girl to her brood, having already confirmed that baby number four will be her last. In an appearance on Heart Radio's breakfast show this morning, she confessed to hosts Jamie Theakston and Zoe Hardman that she's been 'antagonised' by men throughout her life. She also joked about youngest Fred being a 'toxic male'. Katherine, who confirmed her pregnancy last month, began: 'I have to say that I can't ever complain post-first trimester. 'I'm quite big, so I think it might be a boy, so I'm feeling dejected about that, because men have just antagonised me all my life, even before they're born.' After welcoming her kids thus far in the order of 'girl, boy, girl,' Katherine said she never finds out her baby's sex beforehand. 'It's always a surprise, and I love that. It's vintage', she stated. The Duchess star then declared that she will inevitably suffer 'gender disappointment' if her little one arrives as a boy. 'I will have it (gender disappointment) this time if it's a boy. You know what it is, my son is a toxic male; he's four years old, and he always wants to fight me,' she shared. Katherine recalled: 'I drove him to nursery the other day; he sat behind me, and he had a sword held to my throat for a while. 'Like, who's giving you weapons?' 'I didn't grow up with brothers, so it's been an adjustment for me,' she admitted. But don't worry, it's all in jest—in true Katherine style, of course—as she assured listeners: 'But I love him; he's a very special guy.' At the end of June, Katherine revealed that she kept her second pregnancy secret out of fear of losing work. She was presenting Ready to Mingle on ITV at the time and was eight months pregnant, which nobody knew. Katherine claimed that she would be unable to get insured during the project if she were pregnant. In an interview with The Sun, she said: 'During my pregnancy, I wasn't telling anyone. You can't get insured on any production if you are pregnant. Sometimes, if you are important enough, they go the extra mile. You see Holly Willoughby pregnant and that's because she's worth it. 'I tried to keep it secret. People just thought I was really fat for ages. I had to keep it quiet. I still needed to work to feed my family.' Katherine added that she didn't want to 'let down a production' if she encountered any complications during pregnancy. The beloved 8 Out of 10 Cats comic has been open about her fertility struggles in the past, having suffered three devastating miscarriages over the span of five years. 'I'm old. I used to think I was going to be the babies' dad because I'm working, but actually I'm like their grandmother,' she told OK! Magazine last November. 'My back hurts; sometimes I give them treats. I'm like a fun grandma.' The beloved stand-up star, who frequently uses the ups and downs of parenting for material in her routines, admitted that she'd been deterred from expanding her family after learning the shocking statistics about pregnancy. More Trending 'We've always gotten pregnant with the babies quite quickly. I've been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I've had three miscarriages in five years,' she said, adding that the likelihood of miscarriage increases as a woman gets older. 'You have to find a balance between what you can personally stand and risks you're willing to take.' When confirming that she won't be having any more kids now, she told the Telling Everyone Everything podcast that while she 'loves making people' with partner Bobby, she believes it would be 'almost irresponsible to the children that [they] have and to [themselves]' should they continue. Scottish ostrich egg used to crack world record for biggest Scotch egg
An ostrich egg from a Scottish farm has been used to break the record for the biggest Scotch egg ever made. Social media chefs Phoenix Ross and Oli Paterson have been recognised for smashing the 20-year-old Guinness World Record. Isla French, co-owner of Little Rowater Farm in Banff in Aberdeenshire, said she was 'amazed' to discover one of her ostrich eggs was used. 'I appreciate good food and just love to see something from my farm be used for a Guinness World Record,' she told STV News. The chefs, from Enfield in England, bought five eggs from the farm – three of which were used in their attempt to break the record on June 17. Phoenix said he has 'wanted to break a world record since he was a kid.' Oliver told STV News: 'We looked at a few world records, and burrito was unbeatable at 2.4km long, and sausage roll was 111m. 'When we found 6.2kg scotch egg, we knew it was the one.' After one failed attempt, the duo succeeded in breaking the record with a fully intact scotch egg weighing almost 8kg – more than a bowling ball. The previous record was 6kg and stood for almost 20 years. The Scotch egg was made by being wrapped in sausage meat then covered in bread crumbs and deep fried before being put in an oven. The whole process took over 24 hours. Oliver said: 'It feels great to break the record, now 'were fingers crossed for getting in the book and setting our sights on new records.' Guinness World Record Isla French, 37, said she was stunned to learn her farm produce had played a part. 'When I sell these eggs, I never have an idea of where they go or what people do with them – this is a nice surprise,' Isla said. 'Someone's taken something from my little and got a Guinness World Record, it's just wow.' Isla French and her husband George, 42, started their family farm over ten years ago and have had an enclosure for ostriches from almost the start. They sells each egg, which weighs up to 1.8kg and contains 1.2 litres of contents, for £25. Each egg is the equivalent of 24 hen eggs. Isla French Isla said she and her family use eggs for omelettes, pancakes and baking as well as make huge fried eggs. 'We're a family farm and when our children are asked where eggs come from, they say ostriches. 'To them, that's normal.' However, she has never seen anything as 'inspiring' or as 'clever' as the ambition to make a Scotch egg with it. The French family had previously appeared on the BBC series This Farming Life. Isla French The ostrich egg holds the record for the largest egg produced by any living bird. The average example measures 6–8 in (15–20 cm) in length, 4–6 in (10–15 cm) in diameter and weighs 3 lb 10 oz–3 lb 14 oz (1.65–1.78 kg) – equal to the volume of 24 hen's eggs. It also holds the record for toughest egg produced by a bird – it can withstand the weight of a 115-kg (253-lb 8-oz) person and often having to be cracked open with a hammer. Ostrich themselves are the world's largest bird and can reach speed of up to 70km an hour. They can also live up to 75 years in captivity.
